This is my first Nekocon and my 2nd convention as a member of the staff. And I can honestly say, the convention was fun. Me and my friends had a good time checking out the dealers room and the artists alley and I got my hands on a CD I have been looking to get for a really long time. The lines were the only negative thing about the convention as there were problems with the registration line on both Thursday and Friday night. Two of my friends who paid at the door waited for almost three hours to pay for their badges. Apart from that, I enjoyed my time at Nekocon and we will definitely be back next year.

Despite some PayPal hiccups with per-registration and some last minute programming changes due to a memorial service, the con was pretty decent, even when the staff appeared to be disorganized. Sadly, my only real complaint is that it is becoming more and more like a generic sci-fi-bi-mo-con and comicon than an animé convention these days. However, there was plenty to do with few changes to the schedule. Dealers room was decent size, but all the same stuff, with too much steampunk. Artists alley was light. Still, while it all sounds like complaints, Nekocon is still one of the better cons on the east coast and a lot cozier than Otakon or Katsucon of which I wont even attend anymore.
