Been by here a few times and never leave disappointed. My husband came here as a kid and still always wants to stop by whenever we pass through Hancock. Lots of delicious, classic diner fare. We especially love going on the weekend when they have a buffet set up with loads of different options. There is something for everyone. Prices are very reasonable too. Your best bet is to stick to diner classics from off the griddle or their specials menu. Sometimes certain dishes and sides come straight from the can or freezer, but it’s not hard to steer clear.

I’m a big fan of the out-of-the-way, family owned and run, homestyle restaurant. Drove by this place while my girls were napping in the car and made it a priority to go the very next day for breakfast. It did not disappoint. The country fried steak and eggs was delicious. The kids menu offered ample choices for my picky eaters and was reasonably priced. All together, we were able to get breakfast for a family of four for under $ 30. Definitely recommend for if you are ever in Hancock, or passing by heading on Rt. 70.

Came in around 6:45ish, not aware that they close at 700 ish. The wait staff was great, didn’t make me feel rushed. The food was your typical diner food, but the best thing about is that everything is home made. I would come back for sure if I was stopping through.

I first came to this place so many yeas ago, I forgot how long ago it was and the name is killer. The restaurant is really down home serving all kinds of great comfort food along with some great dessert type things. The view is to die for if you can get a window table. It overlooks some nice hills and since it was Autumn and the leaves were changing, the Missus couldn’t stop gushing. We stopped here for breakfast on our way back home from Cumberland and the portions were plentiful and delicious. Don’t look for any of that fancy city slicker stuff here. Just real, Western Maryland hospitality and food. BTW, we ordered a full pie to take home with us and it was also delicious. There are a few other restaurants in Hancock but this is the place to come and Park N Dine.

We had a group of 20. They gave us a small private room which was really nice. They didn’t have enough menus for our entire group and there wasn’t anyone else in the restaurant. I ordered the ham pot pie. It’s made with Old Country Ham and I wasn’t really ready for the taste of it. Kinda sour, like sour kraut. My green beans and roasted red skin potatoes were delish. Everyone else really enjoyed their meal and the group got a variety meals. The value of the meal for the portion is very generous. Only other down side, I didn’t get a refill on my tea. Never saw the waitress to even ask.

Where did everyone go? We went there for dinner while traveling back from Frostburg. It was Saturday night at 7pm, it was only us and two other families. This place used to be packed in years past! We ordered some open face turkey and roast beef platters, an old favorite of ours. No disappointment here. The homemade mash potatoes rocked! Service was good but I kind of felt sorry for them being that the place seats about 200 and there was only 12 of us in there. The menu seemed smaller and the place is starting to look dated.

We were traveling west and there are not many options in Hancock. In the past we have stopped here and it was just ok. This time it was much better — maybe they are under new management. My reuben was really good. My daughter had a burger and it was juicy. Definitely stopping again.

Decent food but what was really good was our waiter. I didn’t catch his name unfortunately but he was very nice and attentive. SO and I were splitting a meal and he got us extra sweet potato fries. He also brought us some syrup as a suggestion to dip our fries into. Boyfriend really liked the stuffed peppers but I didn’t. The waiter also very enthusiastic about the restaurant and he mentioned that he was trying to get the place on TV.

The food is not horrible, but the bygone charm vibe is a creepy downer. If you’re stuck and have to eat here, the Tonoloway burger was tasty. Blue cheese and bacon with onion rings, served on a tender Ciabatta bun. The roast beef melt was also pretty good with a pretzel bun and toppings redeeming slightly dry roast beef. Our 11-year-old adored the P-n-D Nachos. If you have a choice, keep looking elsewhere.

Park-N-Dine stayed open beyond closing time for 22 of us. We had just come from a 44 mile bike ride on the C&O Canal Trail. Dinner was a buffet featuring salmon. Sald, vegetable and dessert was also served. Overall, wholesome food. Wait staff were new but managed. Yes. I would go back.

Had I known I would be here at lunch time and it would be a while before I got back to a significant town, I would have researched the Unilocal reviews of restaurants in Hancock, MD first. Very ordinary greasy spoon diner fare. I’m watching what I eat(calories, fat grams, etc) and found it nearly impossible to order off the menu. I tried, and ordered a half-fried chicken with the idea of removing the outer fried skin and taking home some for my wife who’s a fried chicken junkie. The«Half Chicken» I thought might be a real half chicken like you get at Boston Market, but instead it was four puny pieces. I got TWO thighs(three bites each) one two-bite drumstick, and one one-bite wing. I did NOT get a chicken breast which usually is part of a «four piece half chicken dinner» [breast-wing-thigh-drumstick] if it’s pieces. I did ask if the side of broccoli was frozen or fresh and waitress said it was fresh. I ordered the redskin potatoes. Ghee, I forgot to ask, roasted or fried. They were deep fried, but actually tasty. I brought home half the potatoes and a thigh and leg for wifey. I think I will pass up this and go to the Potomac River Grill next time I’m in Hancock. Unilocalers seem to like that more.

I have eaten there many times over my lifespan(native around this area all my life) and it used to be decent but anymore I’d rather eat a microwave dinner as it isn’t far off from their food and it isn’t very clean inside either. Pros: Location View Service(sometimes) Cons: Most if not all seems to be frozen food or at least not cooked well. The place is dingy and dirty. From stained ceiling tiles to stained and dirty carpet. The price for quality doesn’t match up. Overall it just seems as if over the years the owner has just let it go and hasn’t done his/her part to keep it up and maintained. With a rework could be a great place again but would avoid until then. Only decent, homemade place in Hancock, MD at the moment would be the Potomac River Grill

That was a mistake. My road-food book recommended this place, but for what reason I can’t imagine. Applesauce from a can, disturbing slabs of ham, crusty stuffing. Never again…

It’s your basic country diner, no frills, low prices. Green beans and kraut are from #10 cans for sure; loved it that they used to have deviled eggs listed as a «vegetable». All other sides can be expected to have butter, cheese, or mayonnaise. Sandwiches are basic, «home cookin’» dishes are seasoned plainly. Breakfast platters are the best bet.

Reading some of these reviews, it seems like people were expecting Spago or something. I think the food is decent enough. I would probably be hugely disappointed if I went there for a real, sit-down meal, but it’s good for a quick bite to eat. It’s broken up into a diner-style section in the front with a counter and about 10 booths and two big dining rooms off to the side and back. I’ve only ever eaten in the front section. It’s unintentionally kitschy with a bunch cheesy stuff on the walls and glass tile surrounding the front windows. It’s bright, cheery and clean, the wait staff are all friendly and the food comes out quick. We like to stop in and pig out after we’ve had a long, calorie-burning ride on the WMRT/C&O Canal. Last time we ate there, I had the hot roast beef sandwich and my boyfriend had a hot dog that came topped with the interesting combination of chili and sauerkraut. I thought it looked disgusting, but he said it was one of the best hot dogs he’s ever had. He asked for fries instead of chips and the waitress said that they would have to charge extra. He said OK, but we found out when we got the bill that we were charged almost $ 3.00 for fries; about as much as the hot dog itself! We each got iced tea and it was fresh and plentiful(no fresh-brewed sweet tea to my boyfriend’s dismay though). Their food is actually a little bland. I had to add a pinch of salt to my sandwich; something I never do. Their fries are crispy though and are so good with gravy. I’ve never had their mashed potatoes, but I would be shocked if they weren’t instant. This isn’t really what I would call«home cookin’», but it’s still comfort food for me and you WILLNOT walk away hungry. If you go there without high hopes, I don’t think you’ll be disappointed.

I stopped at «Park-N-Dine» for breakfast and the only way to describe this is «major disappointment». Their breakfast menu had two kinds of breakfast potatoes. Realizing that some places only have one variety fresh and the other frozen, I asked. «Both are frozen.» Okay, so much for the potatoes. «I’ll have a couple of eggs over, and an order of grits.» The first bite of grits turned out to be about a half spoon of salt. I quickly found the reason why. «We aren’t allowed to put salt in the food. There’s no salt in there. I just opened the package myself.» «The package?» She went on to look at what was apparently a box of instant grits they were serving the customers. «I read the box and it says it has salt.» Yep. They’re serving instant grits.(There obviously is such a thing, which obviously is loaded with salt to cover the mealy taste.) If I wanted instant grits, wouldn’t I just stop at a Sheetz and find a package in their groceries? Anyway, I guess I hit a dud on this one. Maybe they have better something else, but it’s not breakfast.

Not bad at all. Quick and polite service. I had the sausage gravy and biscuits and enjoyed them. I was a bit concerned about stopping in after reading the one review but we were pleased with our breakfast choice heading home from Delfest.
