Yeah this place has good Italian food if your understanding of Italian food can be found in a can on a shelf at the grocery store and says«Prego.» Is it tomato sauce or strawberry preserves? You decide. Also, their version of an Italian sub resembles a limp dick, but unlike a limp dick, does not improve once inside your mouth. Humorless Gestapo will spy on you creepily in order to monitor your alcohol intake.

Coming from Chicago, I wouldn’t call this place anything but average. Tasty, but average. There aren’t a lot of pizza choices up in this neck of the woods however, and if you are craving it, Capozio’s is probably one of the better ones. Just don’t go in with large expectations and you will be happy. I’ll order from them again in the future when i’m on vacation, but frankly i’d rather do some grilling and save myself for a really good pizza when i get home. (my kids were perfectly happy with the pizza. that counts for something)

Good food, BUTDONOT go at peak times. Ordered for kids at 7:10pm Friday 7÷31÷2015. Waited 75 minutes for 1 pizza and 1 pasta to arrive. At 8:00pm we asked to speak to a manager. It took 15 minutes. She was rude, provided no estimate on the food we ordered at 7:30 for the adults and said it was busy!!! Upon asking for the check was even more snippy and provided no accommodations on the bill. Avoid at peak times at all cost.

Always a great pizza. Love their tomato bread. If you’re getting tired of Pizza hut, give them a try.

Pretty delicious pizza for a cheaper and more homestyle restaurant, awesome to try! Get the Capozio Combo with Regular crust and anchovies.

great pizza, a surprising good house red wine, atmosphere very lacking. your choices are a sad outdated sports area or a stuffy dining area. we chose the prior and its usually a quick sitting. only open a few days a week in off season and only for dinner. prices fair for pizza, house wine and salad/garlic tomato bread. ingredients always great quality. owners and owners children stand offish and not very professional… bordering rude so if you have an issue just move on or you’ll get more grief. servers generally friendly and good. worth a try if your craving pzza and red wine.

It’s your go-to for Pizza, especially if you overcooked the meat at home… After thirty years, there are a few constants. The pizza is good, the pasta is crummy, the lasagna is awful, and the 80’s décor remains. I mean, where else can you find a 24×36 poster of Martina Navratilova or a stand-up Jet Ski in pristine condition? For ambience, there is no checkbox for«seriously dated but clean».

Stopped on our way home from the beach and wished we would’ve kept going. We were told the wait would be 20 minutes which is totally doable on a Saturday. Unfortunately, it turned into 45 minutes. The most frustrating part was that there were FOUR empty tables the entire time we waited! The waitress was ok, but we had to flag her down to get refills on drinks. The food was good, but not great. My son had ravioli which was clearly frozen. We will not be returning in the future.

We go there 4 or 5 times a year & love the pizza. Last Friday night was the best yet! Got the large deep dish combo. Everything is homemade!

My friends and I stopped at Capozio’s about 40 minutes before their closing time and sat at the bar. The young man who waited on us was very pleasant and the rest of the staff never once complained, or acted annoyed, since it was close to their closing time. The food was delicious. My group of four people ordered two medium regular crust pizza’s and were very impressed. We’ll definitely be back for more.

Go here if you’re looking for basic, decent, cost efficient pizza. We phoned in a cheese and cheese + sausage pizza and within 15 minutes we had pizza and garlic bread with cheese. All of the pizza was disappeared by midnight.

So here is a little secret. Order the«white pizza» where they use alfredo sauce on the pizza instead of the tomato based. ITISTHEBESTPIZZAINTHEWORLD I LOVEIT!!! It is always a hit when ever I take it anywhere. Every time I am in town I order it. This pizza isnt on the menu but it is fantastic with thick crust!

For local pizza, you can’t go wrong. We’ve been getting their carry out pizza for years and it is always consistent. It is a basic pizza, fresh and yummy. This is a solid business that has been around for years and will continue to be there. Service inside the restaurant is pretty good most of the time. Pastas are okay, there is better in the area. Salads are decent. Nothing here knocks your socks off, but it is always good and fresh. Though it is in the heart of a really touristy area, it hasn’t fully succumbed to catering to the tourists. The locals like it just fine.

We have been visiting the area for the past 5 years and Capozio’s has been a place we have visited over this time. The service is really good, the décor a little old fashioned, but comfortable, and food is very, very good! We have had pizzas, appetizers, main courses all prepared with love and care that you can taste in every bite! The food is great, consistent in taste and preparation, and always served promptly and efficiently. When we return to visit again in June this will be one of our go-to places for sure!

Good local fare for Italian food. I always like to find the«local» places and this is clearly one of them. Atmosphere is one of someone’s living room not a fancy romantic setting or anything like that. I rate it 3 stars because it is not a «great» place but for a quick dinner, which you can go «as you are», it is really good. Type of great restaurant you go to after working in the yard all day, jump in the shower, then go to get some food. For that category of dining, this is great.

This is our favorite Italian Restaurant. I love the pizza and pasta and can’t get enough of the bread. I live out of town now, but make my way back every time I’m visiting. It’s a cozy little place. Perfect for a fun group or a romantic getaway. The owner Teresa is awesome and makes sure that every thing served is always first rate. You might pay a little more, but you are guaranteed fresh, healthy ingredients.

Have frequented many Italian restaurants and a fan of them. Capozios delivers what it says it will deliver, good Italian food that anybody can go to that’s reasonably priced. We had the whitefish, pan fried veal parmigiana, a small pizza and a few past kids meals and all came out quick and good. The place delivers two dining experiences; on one side is a sports bar experience and on the other side more of a sit down program. they share the same kitchen. Service was very good and glad we stopped there on a recent Saturday night in Michigan when we saw a fullish parking lot.

The food at Capozio’s tasted pretty average, but the price was fine. I spent $ 18 on a large anchovy, black olive pizza and antipasto split with two friends, a Corona, and a 20% tip. Although the meats and cheeses on the antipasto didn’t knock me out(granted, I have really high standards because I work at a superb deli), the presentation was lovely. The pizza was okay — nothing bad about it but not particularly memorable either. The beer was cold and very reasonably priced. The service and atmosphere were wonderful. This part of Michigan is mainly a vacation spot for rich Chicago folks, and the proprietors are obviously accustomed to catering to that crowd. Both the host and our server were attentive, polite and quite friendly. We were driving to Chicago and searching a dark and lonely road for a solid meal, which is exactly what we found. During the tourist season, you can probably find a great deal more outstanding food along that stretch of the Red Arrow Highway, but on a chilly October night, this will do just fine.
