OMG … So yummy!!! So friendly too!
Lots of breakfast spots in HS so mediocre, not small batches! Nothing mediocre about the food, service or the décor, just plain terrific on all fronts.
Try the German chocolate cup cakes! lemon bars too!

We used Small Batch for the desserts at our wedding. All the cupcakes were gone in a matter of minutes. People loved them so much — they were trying one of every flavor we had. And we had four different flavors! Small Batch also made our wedding cake and we still dream of the chocolate raspberry cake! Be sure to try their killer Mac & Cheese and the brook side cupcake brownie. Or is it a brownie cupcake? Either way — the food is worth stopping in for while exploring Harbor Springs/​Petoskey and Loretta — the owner — is a blast to chat with!

It’s ALL fantastic! Expensive, but big enough portions to split with a friend! Go for anything with lemon in it!

While visiting in Harbor Springs we used Unilocal in hopes of finding an interesting place for a light lunch. This sounded like a good place to try. We were not disappointed. We tried the ham and cheese turnovers and they made a perfect light lunch. We left with some over the top brownies for later. If you want cheap food may we recommend Taco Bell. If you want delicious, this might be the place for you.

We stopped for lunch. Had the mother lode Mac and cheese and a turnover, really good. Taking a load of cookies home!

Such a fantastic addition to Harbor Springs! My family routinely bought quiches all last summer at the farmer’s market, and we were so happy to see that this year Small Batch has an adorable brick and mortar store. The quiche continues to delight, the granola is some of the best I’ve ever had, the cupcakes are out of this world. You really can’t go wrong getting anything here, and the staff couldn’t be nicer.

Small Batch, perhaps, but they’re doing big things, and they’re all great! If you’re jonesing for some outstanding baked goods, be they cookies, brownies, layer cakes, coffee cakes, among other delectables, this is the place to go. If you’re craving outstanding and original Mac and Cheese, go here. The list is long, and I can’t mention all of their dishes here, but trust me. Everything’s outstanding.
Open only a year, Small Batch delivers fresh, scratch-​prepared, creative delicacies, reasonably priced, and visible so you can see what you’re going to eat before you order it. The owner and staff are exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Worth every penny, and every calorie!

Good Golly this place is fantastic! Stopped into this bakery on the 4^th of July. The chocolate chip cookies were fresh out of the oven and were so, so good. I mean REALLY, super duper good! Super fresh. High quality ingredients. Adorable interior. A really nice addition to Harbor Springs.
It was not cheap. But it was damn good. And I don’t mind spending my hard earned money for something that is so delicious and well executed. Can’t wait to go back!

Small Batch is the BOMB!!! This is a great addition to the Harbor Springs community. Fantastic deserts and fabulous quiche. A must if you’re in the area.

SWEETNESS… from the moment i walked in. The décor, and displays invited me to linger and look, and want to try one of each. I had the key lime pie last year, just after they opened, and the first bite invited me to finish the entire piece. The crust, oh my– marcona (spanish) almonds mixed with lauretta’s special recipe was to die for. The yellow (authentic key lime color) pie filling was a perfect mix of sweet and tart… the flavors melted together perfectly. I have since had the pie on 4 other occasions. Looking at the cupcakes was enough for me. I didn’t want to eat them. I knew that each piece of art was made with love, and i just wanted to look. The garnishes were adorable… from dipped berries, to mini pin wheels, each cupcake, had its own unique appeal. Definitely worth my hour plus drive…

Scrump-​Diddley-​Umptious. This lovely little bakery/​café looks like a movie set. Seriously, it’s «picture perfect». From the savory quiche to the perfectly sweet/​tart Key Lime Pie… Small Batch is hitting all home runs! I can’t wait to return,

Delicious cinnamon roll cupcake with bacon in it. I generally don’t like bacon, but this cupcake was delicious. The buttercream was a little on the greasy/​oily side, though. If I lived in the area, I would be eating here quite often!

Just absolutely delicious homemade style food. Highly recommend the grilled cheese and tomato basil soup! The ChopChop is amazing too!

This place is going to get a significant amount of our summer budget! In our party we had delicious tomato basil soup made with ricotta cheese, a super yummy grilled cheese and pickle sandwich, the Caesar chicken sandwich, a sausage quiche, and the gaming Swiss pastry. Everything was excellent! Pickles were a great addition to the rich cheese. Caesar sandwich was packaged perfectly for a picnic; I could see ordering several for a bike ride or boat ride. Save room for dessert! We especially loved the lemon butterfly caked; perfect balance of sweet and tart. Magic cookie bars were great as well. We thought the raspberry bar was good but the lemon cake was superior. We MUST go back for the ice cream sandwich. Small but cozy but I think the food would travel well if you want a picnic. Epicurean travelers won’t be disappointed!

Love this place! All the food is fresh, homemade and fantastic! They have an amazing array of amazing desserts that look like little works of art and taste like big slices of heaven. Not only are the sweets awesome, but whatever other savory dishes they have for the day are fantastic as well. I’ve tried everything from loaded mac and cheese to kale salad to spinach quiche and have been nothing but impressed.
Also, if you need further motivation, Loretta and her staff are some of the nicest people and bests hosts around. Overall, Small Batch is a real HS gem and never disappoints :)

What a great find! I read about Small Batch in Traverse Magazine, and we dropped in for lunch today — it was awesome! My wife & I shared spinach ricotta quiche, a breakfast parfait with homemade granola, Greek yogurt, honey & fresh berries, and a chocolate chip cookie with sea salt. The place is microscopic but incredibly well decorated, and a true visual delight. Fresh flowers abound, baked goods are too beautiful to believe, and the October Halloween decorations were everywhere. There are two tables indoors, and a small café table on the sidewalk (too chilly & blustery today), and the park is 20 feet outside the door for those wanting a picnic. Loretta runs the place, and she was accompanied by a young and very nice Luke.
A true treasure right on Main Street. They’ll be open through New Year’s before closing for the winter.

Today I went to the Taste of Harbor Springs event and got to taste an incredible amount of local flavor. I must say that of all the sweet treats at the event Small Batch takes the cake ;) that carrot cake was amazing and it left me wishing I had saved more room so I could eat more cake! I’m planning on stopping in to the shop very soon to get some sweets to go! Cant wait, I recommend small batch to anybody like me who loves sweet stuff yum!

The best food you will ever taste! Excellent customer service. Truly an entertaining food experience!
