Just really high quality food. I’ve been here maybe 6 – 8 times over a span of at least as many years, and I’m never disappointed. This most recent visit, my DP and I shared two lunch specials: mushroom ravioli and fish & chips(with housemade potato chips). Both were amazing. And I was impressed by the prices too. We thought the fish may have been about the best we’ve ever had, and I was thinking back on it fondly for days! Didn’t get dessert this time but I remember them being very good too.

Great food and service. Small wait but it was well worth it. Burgers were very good and you got a lot of food.

An excellent representation of that local roadside diner that you see driving past and go, «whoooaaaa… What’s that???» The place with smoke pouring out the vents, The parking lot filled with cars… The spot where the locals go. That is this place. A solid menu of Americana… Steak chicken pork burgers salads. Nothing to fancy, prices were reasonable, drinks were cold, wait staff was quick and friendly. Sure, it might not be that new hip taco joint with the menu listed on iPads… But it’ll keep you coming back for more

The Log Cabin Inn is part of the same family of restaurants that include the Iron Bridge Inn and Rachel’s Roadhouse in Mercer. Although it looks small from the outside they have a great indoor area with a nice wooded view along with a full bar. My family decided to try it for our holiday meal. There was hardly a place to get parked but we were seated immediately. We started out with a margarita flatbread to share. it was very good. Some of the entrees and salads are similar to what you will find at its sister restaurants. I opted for the pot roast with caramelized onions and vegetables. My girlfriend had the chicken Alexandra which came with a choice of two sides. The rest of the family went for turkey club or Philly dip sandwich. We started with the French onion soup which was very cheesy, had lots of croutons but not much onions. it was still very good. We had ordinary rolls and butter. Nothing special about them. Our main courses came cooked to order and very generous portions. Mine was almost like eating a beef stew. It was a bit oily but very filling. My girlfriend loved her chicken that came with various squash veggies. Everyone else seemed happy with their sandwiches and sides. As in their other restaurants, they offer free Wi Fi. Course no one could even look at the dessert menu we were literally stuffed! Still it made a nice change of pace to visit one of the sister restaurants in the Springfield group. Located in Harmony, PA it is very close to I-79 on Rt 19. Made for a wonderful drive through farmland and had a rustic feel for the place. Would definitely return.

Very good food– quaint location. I was happy with the food, service and all else. The only thing is the parking situation.

We had a horrible experience. To start with the waitress carried me and my husbands salads out to us in her hands,(not on a tray) and I guess she didn’t have enough hands to carry the bread basket too, so she stacked the bread basket right on top of my husbands salad! Needless to say my husband didn’t eat his salad. Next he ordered the seafood platter for $ 17.99. The dish they brought out his meal in was the size of cereal bowl and it had only about six pieces of meat in it. They brought him a side of broccoli that was bigger than his main meal and to add insult to injury… the broccoli was cold. I ordered the lasagna… big mistake! It was huge and it had one long noodle on the top, and one long noodle on the bottom, and a small touch of riggotta cheese, the rest was about a pound of mushy gross ground beef. It was revolting! It looked and tasted like dog food! I had one bite and could not take another. I got a sweet potato and it was cold. The butter on it wouldn’t even melt. The waitress who was a very very nice lady was a «close talker». When ever she came to our table she would bend down over the table and talk right over our food, like inches away! I could not believe it! I complained to the«manager» about everything we had experienced and she never once said she was sorry. All she did was tell me how no one else has ever complained about any of the things I was complaining about; and she made me feel like I was in the wrong for saying anything to her. SORRY excuse for a manager! She ended up taking my Lasagna and one of my husbands beers off the bill, but a genuine«I’m sorry» would have went a lot further. We will not be returning to this restaurant! EVER!

I have no idea why this place is as popular as it is. We went here with friends and the wait was about 45 minutes on a Saturday evening which was acceptable. Got a drink at the bar while waiting. The service was fine, however, every item ordered was a disappointment. Started with calamari and it was flavorless. Worst I’ve ever had. Then I got a bowl of French Onion Soup. It was ok, but nothing to write home about. I also got the 8oz sirloin which was not cooked to order and was quite tough to chew. My husband got the Balsamic Chicken which would have been better if it wasn’t so dry. For dessert we got the peanut butter pie that other reviewers recommended and we couldn’t eat more than 2 bites. It was really gross. Overall, I would not recommend this place unless you have nowhere else to dine. Overpriced given the lack of quality.

Awesome. Food, service, and atmosphere! It has it all which is probably why it’s packed all of the time! It’s worth the wait or worth rearranging your eating schedule to off-peak hours. I’ve never had a bad dish here and nor has anyone I know. I love this place! Also, I know this may sound strange to comment on, but even their managers are awesome. I’ve never been to a restaurant where I’ve seen management consistently inquiring about the quality of service their guests are receiving. And from what I’ve witnessed they are genuine, and not the phony«how is everything» you might get at a national chain.

Food and view were amazing! The view of the forest in the back diningroom was really pretty. The Mississippi mud pie, peanut butter pie, and bbq flatbread are definitely worth ordering. But the service and food times were disappointing. We were there for two hours for a meal that should have taken half that time. The servers seemed unconcerned with the food times and weren’t very attentive to our tables needs.

Very good restaurant and super cozy on a cold winter day. Great burgers and very good bar. Overall, great experience. My wife had the Alexandra. She wasn’t thrilled with it, but I’m thinking it was just an off day for that meal. I’d recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good meal and ambiance.

The Log Cabin Inn was a very pleasant surprise! I love rustic décor and ambiance of the different dining spaces. Rustic themed restaurants are a dime a dozen where I grew up. It gave me a special at home feel. However, I can honestly say, NONE compare to the Log Cabin Inn when it comes down to the quality and taste of the food. I ordered a cup of the potato soup and the tortellini special. It was tortellini in a rich sauce with wild mushrooms and artichoke hearts. Amazing… I scarfed it down in minutes with no regrets. Only disappointed I was too full to eat another plate! Top notch service finished off a perfect first experience. I will very happily return for another meal. Highly recommend!

Well unfortunately we had a very how do I say waitress that was less than professional, I noticed other customers that entered after Us Had there food a few minutes before us. What did I order a Ruben sandwich and a bowl of soup, not rocket science so the food was ok and the service thumbs down .The manager did apologize for the mix up all in all the place is nice, the food is good for the area so if passing by give it a chance.

Such a good find! By the looks of the parking lot when we drove up, we knew it had to be popular. Went in on a Saturday night at 7pm and were told a 45 minute — 1 hour wait. We luckily got a cozy spot at the bar and enjoyed a couple beers. It was definitely busy and the bartenders rushing around, but all around we never had an empty drink. We got seated in about 45 minutes. Very comfortable décor and atmosphere. Our waitress, Nicole, was super friendly and helpful in picking out drinks, apps and entrees. We ended up getting the Cabin Combo: two stuffed banana peppers, three stuffed mushroom caps and the best fried zucchini I’ve had in a long time! We next got our side salads with the blue cheese/balsamic dressing which was AMAZING. By the time we got our entrees, beef tip tortellini and top sirloin, we were stuffed! We got boxes, but still kept eating because it was all so good! I would totally recommend this restaurant, even for those down towards the city. It’s a great place with amazing, friendly staff and equally delicious food. Worth the drive!

Parking lot was so full I almost passed it by thinking I would have to wait… but I went in anyway and there was space. Service was prompt and neighborly. I had the meatloaf sandwich. I could’ve had another meatloaf sandwich — and another. I will return when I am in the area and try some of the other features. BTW — I was surprised to see such a nice and will stocked bar.

Ambiance, superb service, and excellent food. To start, the hostess Joanie was so welcoming and accommodating. I don’t just like to go out to eat; I like to have an experience, so I always like to check out the restaurant before I select a seat. Sometimes it upsets the hostess when I don’t accept her first table choice. Joanie went out of her way to find us a ‘nice’ table, then checked back with us to make sure the window blinds were set just right so that we had a great view of the ravine below the restaurant. Our waitress, Nicole, was just as friendly and helpful, as there were so many great choices of meals, we weren’t sure which to choose. Overall, one of the most pleasant restaurant experiences we’ve had in a while. And the food was reasonably priced, too. We’ll definitely be back… and we’ll bring friends, the highest compliment we can pay to a restaurant. :)

We’ve been to the Log Cabin a number a times and have never been disappointed. I love it in the winter, beside the fireplace with a flavorful cup of soup. It’s beautiful on the deck in the spring and fall — we were just there, treated to the woods full of fireflies. And it’s screened in, so the firefly’s buddies cannot get in! Broccoli soup is so good, especilly on a damp summer night. Angel Onion sounds very like a blooming onion from you-know-where, but beware, it is a hard-to-eat basket of onion strings, deep fried. Hubs swears by the Chicken Diablo and It was really pretty. Yes, pretty — campanelle pasta is a most favored shape in our family. Friend had the meatloaf: manly with gravy. The atmosphere is very cabiny and you will be comfortable immediately. The staff is always above par(gotta be, the place is too busy for any slack). We love it here and you will, too — there’s a reason the parking lot is so big!

Had a great experience at this place with my husband and his family. They dont take reservations but we got a few seats at the bar and got beers and a few appetizers to ease our hungry appetites: Breaded Zucchini and the spinach artichoke dip(both were really good). We enjoyed the atmosphere and had a great time and about 45 minutes later we got our big booth in the back. Server was attentive, food was awesome and the prices were very reasonable. They do large portions so come hungry!

From its inception we have been customers there and have always been critics to any changes that have been made. Whether it be new owners or a change in the menu, there has been nothing that would keep us from coming back. I will always remember the great times, and the friends we have made there, both customers and employees. That being said«the cabin» invites you to a great«Cheers» type, warm atmosphere. Walk in the front door and the bar beckons you to sit down and relax and yes the bartenders really do know your name, whether its your first or 100th time. Week-ends can get a little busy and you might have to stand for a while, but you’ll enjoy making new friends. Wait times for a table can be 45 min to an hour during busy times. You have choices of dining venue: «The Cabin», the original 1800’s structure, the enclosed porch that offers great views as you sit amongst the tree tops, and the covered out door deck is the ultimate in outdoor dining. Of course the bar and adjacent tables are always open for that quick app or burger. Ok, the food and service over the past 20 some years has been mostly steady. Of course new employees and chefs will always affect your experience so try not to base your return on one visit. For instance the Prime Rib Salad that my wife ordered last night has increased in price from 7.99 to 12.99. Plate size has been reduced along with the«prime rib»? and had a boatload of red onion. Far from what it used to be but not enough to say no more Cabin. Oh yeah, food, Prime Rib«blackened», mine last night was spot on along with the baked sweet potato with the cinnamon butter, Brew City Burger, «depending on chef», any hamburger, Big John Wedge, Country Fried Chicken, Deep Fried Zucchini, Peanut Butter Pie or anything on the dessert tray should put you into a food coma! Did I say Prime Rib, see if they have a «Big John Cut»! Say Goodnight ! Update: Just lost a close and dear friend of «The Cabin» Big John Alexander, just one of many people that made going there memorable and fun!
