Went for the first time for a birthday dinner. My whole family enjoyed each plate. The motif is really cute and interesting as it was a diner turned upscale Italian. The music was old school Italian. I love the glass look in the back. Our waitress Cindy was awesome and helped us pick the perfect plate for each of us and was super attentive. I got the rigatoni special and it was awesome. I also really enjoyed their cauliflower cake. It had a definite family appeal but could also be a great date spot. I will definitely be back soon. Hoping to try it out in the summer outside with some sangria in hand!

Are you stuck picking a place in Harrison? Well look no more. Trattoria Vivolo is your perfect destination. From great pizza to pasta, this place will sure get your taste buds running. This wide verity Italian place, is very clean and the people in there are SUPER nice. They will never let you down. Not one bit. But the food. Even better. The pasta is cooked just right, it gives you that Italian feeling when you have it. The décor though makes it feel like your in Italy. And that pizza, uh, so good. There are so many more things on the menu to choose from, you’ll need to go back to try all the other delicious stuff they have. So stop waiting there and get off your butt to go. Come on. You’ll regret not going. And once you try it you’ll want to go back.

Been meaning to review this place for a long time. Food is fantastic and the staff is more than great. The owner Dean is there all the time and makes feels like you are a regular customer even though more often than not I am picking up take out. I am yet to eat something from there I would not recommend. I have had the food from here over a dozen times and will enjoy it as long as they continue to make it.

returned for a Friday night dinner at 8:30 in the large room for the four of us. Service was a bit slow at times given the full house but I’d rather slow speed than being rushed. We liked the two appetizers the meatballs and the balsamic mushrooms, two was plenty for four. we each tried a different entrée: pasta rustica; pork chop with peppers potatoes, and sausage; branzino sea bass with capers: and chicken Milanese. My pasta dish had very thick though delicious sauce-I think I can add extra pasta to my leftovers; the chicken plate had too much arugula versus chicken for $ 24. So a few suggestions for improvements…

What an amazing place. First off you walk in and it is so pretty. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful, but most importantly the food is really really good. The hot antipasti is delicious. The salads are really good and the entrees are not your basic pasta dishes. The chef definitely puts a spin on traditional Italian cuisine. I have now returned many times since my initial visit and can not say enough. There are a lot of Italian restaurants in Westchester and Fairfield counties but I have to say this little spot really stands out.

Vivilo is a unique, stylish restaurant that looks like a diner outside but inside warm and inviting — food is varied and served with grace and charm — try it, you’ll like it! lucy b

Great service, great food in what must have been an old diner from fifties. All spamming new, probably great place to take wife.

This was such a cute place. I really liked the«home» style vibe and atmosphere. Definitely looked like a diner converted to a yummy Italian place, but with cute décor. I thought it was interesting that they provided assorted olives on the table when you sat down. The mangotini was good — not too strong/overpowering or watered down. The margherita pizza was absolutely amazing, so warm with the right amount of cheese. I tried a little bit of the lasagna and found it delicious. Just great food and service altogether. Everything came out in a timely manner, our server was very nice, and the staff/owners seemed friendly altogether. Good place to go to with family

I am sorry, I don’t understand what all the hype is about. Maybe the food is better dining in. I got the spinach ravioli to go. It was average at best and over priced.

The food here is always great, Dean and Odelya, the owners, provide great service and a warm and inviting place. All of the staff are wonderful and have been with Dean for a long time. It is a great place to eat and work! Go during the summer months and enjoy the outside dining.(:

I Needed to find a restaurant to meet friends for dinner so I turned to Unilocal for recommendations. After reviewing many reviews and looking through photos Trattoria Vivolo stood out as a special restaurant. And boy was it. I highly recommend this restaurant. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu and specials. The owner greets you at the door and thanks you for coming when you leave. Now let me tell you what we ate. Our waitress explained the night’s specials and they sounded so delicious that the four of us went with the specials. Appetizers: Barata with olives, grilled peppers, the portion was very generous. For dinner we had the poached salmon with artichokes, pounded veal chop with Italian peppers. We were full but the desserts sounded so good we had to indulge. I love Vivolo and can’t wait to good back.

What can I say? This is the best place to go for homestyle Italian food and feel like you’re part of the family even if you just moved to the area from 900 miles away and don’t know a single person. This is what happened when my husband and I first visited the trattoria. When our families visited, they treated them like they were old friends. The trattoria is a wonderful little foodie gem in Harrison and worth the trip into the village for a delicious dinner.

My hubby and I ate here for the first time last night! We were skeptical when we saw the outside of the place being an old diner, but don’t be fooled! The food and service were both amazing! The waitress let us both make up meals that weren’t on the menu and they were delicious! We had a seafood-vegetable risotto and shrimp oreganata, over pasta with pancetta. We also were given complimentary after dinner drinks. Wish I asked for the waitress’s name because she was awesome! Must try! Will absolutely be back!

This is one of my favorite places to go when I want to bring friends and family to eat Italian food that is superb. I’ve been here 6 times over the last two years and none of us ever had a bad meal, even after trying different things. I do like to eat the same thing, but it is because they make it so well that it hurts to think about getting anything else. Their Penne a la Vodka is to die for, and I recommend it if you have no idea what to get. I am a vegetarian, and they always are willing to leave out the pancetta with no problems. Call in advance to make a reservation — they can get pretty full in the evenings and weekends are tough without one. I tend to reserve a week in advance just so I have peace of mind.

We had lunch here and I thought it was okay. The food was ok, and the service was ok. I think the best thing about this place is location. It’s right in front of Harrison station, so it was a perfect place to have lunch before heading back to the city. What was nice about eating at lunch is that it includes bruschetta and a salad!

Firstly, I definitely recommend making reservations. This place is popular! The service for our table of 3 was awesome — our waitress was friendly, informative and even gave us a little something extra since it was our first time at the restaurant. Definitely 5 stars for service. As others have mentioned, this is a diner turned Italian restaurant but the atmosphere works. They’ve done a great job on the décor! They started us out with thin slices of bread with bruschetta which was delicious! THEN they brought out a warm loaf of bread which was even better. Don’t forget to ask for the olive oil for dipping though! The portion sizes for all the food we ordered was good — we definitely have a couple of goodie bags to take home with us. I also appreciated the 1 page menu — makes decision making easier! Overall the food was good but not the best I’ve ever had. The pink sauce was a little sweeter than I was used to. I would rate the food a 3 star, but it was good enough where I would definitely want to return.
