Ok. So I was happy when they first set up shop here on the Southend of Hartford since all of the West Indian restaurants are all on the North end of Hartford. Their food is decent sometimes it’s good, sometimes it needs more seasoning or salt or it tastes stale. FYI, my family/​parents are Jamaican, so I know how the food is supposed to taste like. The service is «blah». There’s a lady with short hair that’s always there and she looks like she could care less. One time my brother & I ordered somethings for take out. So we got our food and when we got home, we realized some of the stuff we ordered and PAID for were not in the bag. So we had to drive back there and tell them that they forgot to give us our complete order. The lady was like «no». Basically, she’s calling us liars and she wanted us to re-​pay for the food we already bought! So HEADS UP, make sure you check your bags BEFORE you leave this place!

Great little Jamaican restaurant. Mostly take out, but there is a counter with 3 – 4 seats if you want to eat there. I got the jerk chicken and my wife got the stew chicken. Both came with rice n peas and vegetables. We both loved or meals and had leftovers from the large portion. Definitely plan on going back here again. There were more items on the menu I want to try
