Chicken has great flavor and the Yucca Fries an other sides are fantastic too. ** However the weekend staff seems to close at different hours every time I try an place an order. Every time it happens, its usually a couple of hours before their stated closing time. They just need consistency with their weekend hours. *UPDATE unfortunately this establishment has now closed.

This place is closed!!! We were so excited to find a Peruvian restaurant near the New York Presbyterian Hospital but when we pulled up we saw that shop had gone out of business. We were so disappointed but we were able to find some great Japanese food around the corner at KYO sushi.

This is the best chicken I have had in this country! Cooked to perfection and very tasty. The selection of sides are also great. Eat in or take out. Parking can be a bit of a pain though. Trust me, you need to check this place out. I have already been a few times and will continue to go.

I am sorry this place is now closed. But the review stand. I hope they open up some place else. That’s right. I’m giving this tiny establishment the full five stars. Why you may ask?! 1. The chicken was very, very good. 2. The Family Dinner(1chicken, three sides, but we added one extra side) actually fed a family of four(mind you, we have kids, not teenagers) 3. Yucca fries!!! Perfect. Crispy not greasy even after a 15 min drive(we did take out). 4. Super tasty plantain, black beans, rice, hot sauce 5. Charming staff. I will come back to try the skirt steak and pulled pork sandwiches. And the soups when the weather is cooler.

Comfort food elevated to the highest levels. The chicken was perfectly cooked and falling off the bone, its skin was excellently seasoned. Be sure to order the yucca fries, they will not disappoint. Mostly a take out place; but there are a few small tables.

A big thank you to all the Unilocalers that recommended this one! I stopped in for lunch and had the chicken, yellow rice and plantains. Sides were good, but the plantains were very greasy but very tasty. That’s the only downside. Rice was perfectly cooked and WOW… chicken was moist, perfectly cooked and loaded with flavor! Awesome!

I am so happy to say I am moving to hartsdale and closer to this restaurant. Had it for the first time tonight(as TAKEOUT) and it was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Quick delivery and food was amazing. Will definitely be one of our new spots.

Great food but owners/service could be greatly improved. Ordered from here about 4 times and tried all meats offered. The chicken is the only star, steak & sausage were dry and not much taste. However, they do NOT open at 11am as per their stated hours. And once they open at 11:20(on weekends), they always tell us it takes 20 mins to make a chicken however it is more like a solid 30 mins. So after waiting for them to open at 11am, we do not walk out with our food until 12:05pm! We have also had a similar experience when we ordered a catering order for a party where food was to be delivered at 12noon. Food was not delivered until 1:30 and that was with multiple calls, where they kept saying they were cooking the chicken. In summary, chicken is great but don’t get delivery or expect to eat lunch promptly. A real bummer with kids who need to eat on schedule.

Had been here before. On April 16, 2015 we purchased a discount coupon on . That night we went to use and the only problem was they were out of chicken and we would have to wait about 40 minutes. We left only to return tonight to use the coupon and get food. The coupon was only for $ 10 off a meal. The owner refused to accept it saying that his partner had set up the coupon program and he was not accepting it. In fact he indicated that they had contacted and cancelled the program. Even though the coupon does not expire and that it did not seem to be an issue 5 days earlier he refused our business. He didn’t even try to turn the negative situation into a customer friendly outcome. Apparently they will only accept the coupon when they have no chicken to sell you. Well we went to the car and checked and low and behold they were still offering the discount coupon. In other words the owners was not honest and clearly is not in business to build a business. Here is a picture of the offer from this establishment that prefers to lose business. Well, we will file a complaint with the usual consumer complaint players and in the meantime be weary of this place. It’s totally amazing that in this day and age when businesses are begging for customers that this place rather lose a customer over $ 10 than hope to gain from it. Restaurants come and go, and one day this one will go with nary a reflection on their unprofessional business practices. We were very happy to go to Frankie & Fanucci around the corner for dinner.

One of my favorite places to eat. I go there almost everyday for lunch– because its high quality food for a good price. And compared to the value of other places in the area, you really get a bang for your buck. I highly recommend the chicken with fries and rice. Mhmm mhmm mhm mhm mhmmmmm. Good stuff.

WOW. Just ordered the family size with yucca fries, rice and beans and it was DELICIOUS. Chicken was perfectly seasoned. Yucca fries had just the right amount of salt. Rice and beans were simple but delicious! The sauces that came with the food was great too. Loved the seasoned mayo! The only thing I would ask is for the fries to be cut thinner like fries(like in other photos) instead of chunks. Either way, LOVEDIT! I really like that they split the chicken in half making it easier to take apart and eat. It’s also awesome that the guy who took my order gave me a heads up about how long the food would take. I really appreciated it when restaurants are straight forward about how long the food is going to take. I’m almost always ok with waiting if I’m given a heads up first. Price was great too! Great value! Definitely ordering again! :)

I promised the owner a review a few months ago and never got round to it. The food at this is incredible. I’ve tried the following: Skirt steak, Chorizo Chicken Beans, Fries Plaintains Rice Salad All are incredible. The chicken is just amazing. I have ordered for delivery and the service was good(30 minutes to white plains). It’s hard to start a business in todays world, let’s give this guy all the support we can as he is producing top quality food at very reasonable prices.

Guys, this is seriously delicious stuff. The scene: Friday night, en route to a dance lesson in Hartsdale with my fiancé and we’re running a little early. We are HUNGRY and can’t imagine waiting an hour to eat. I frantically search Unilocal for dining options and Braza Roja pops up first. Unilocal has it listed as a Brasserie, which was a little confusing, but after a look at the reviews it’s clear that takeout is a good option here. Sure, you can eat there as there are a few tables, but it’s definitely set up more as a takeout operation. After a quick scan of the menu we try the Braza Roja Meal, which includes a ¼ chicken, 6 oz skirt steak, and a chorizo link with a side salad and one other side order — we try the yuca fries. The chicken skin is crisp and herby, the meat aromatic and tender. The skirt steak is juicy and flavorful. The chorizo is not what I am expecting, but delicious nonetheless. And the yuca fries — little crispy strips of carby goodness — are similarly awesome and even better when dipped in the yellow sauce. We also ordered a BBQ chicken sandwich and didn’t have time to eat it, but this wasn’t a problem because the Braza Roja Meal was enough for the two of us(and we are not light eaters). That said, the sandwich seemed to be missing something. It’s really just BBQ chicken on bread with no accompaniments, but we had turned down the cole slaw so maybe that’s why? Nothing a little yellow sauce couldn’t fix! And now that I’m daydreaming about this, I’m thinking a few of their delicious sweet plantains on the sandwich would be out-of-this-world good. Mmmmmm… food. Go to Braza Roja. Quickly!

I have no doubt the food is delicious but they have the worst delivery service I have seen. I made a simple order for dinner and was promised I would have it in 20 minutes. I would have been disappointed but still found it acceptable if I got it in 60. It took them TWOWHOLEHOURS to deliver a meal I ordered at 5:45PM. How is that possible? They did not even have the common courtesy to offer to write off the cost of the meal. I called them multiple times and kept being told that the order had already left but it took 50 minutes after that conversation. Very poor customer service that seems to take their customer’s intelligence for granted. If you will be late have the decency to tell me honestly how late it will be and do not feed me lies over the phone. Very disappointed UPDATE: The food was great and I upgraded my review from 1-star to 3-stars. However, that makes the delivery experience even more disappointing. I will give them a try for dine-in and hopefully will have a better time

Delicious! Ordered the Skirt Steak with Yuca Fries and a Quarter Chicken with Yuca Fries and Fried Plantains. From first bite of the Skirt Steak with the Chimichurri my eyebrows raised and followed with silence to get another bite to make sure I tasted what I just tasted. This is pretty damn good. Moved on to the Chicken which was explained as a Peruvian recipe but cooked Brazilian style… first thing that I noticed was the amazing aroma… bite…eyebrows raised again. I have concluded I will crave this meal going forward. Kudos Braza Roja, you got a fan.

Glad to see José back in the drivers seat! Still the best chicken in Westchester. You got to try the Yuca fries! After a couple weeks hiatus, they’re back in business and as good as ever. We got worried driving by for a couple of weeks and seeing the place dark. Come on back they’re open!

Soooo good! I just have one question. How the hell do they make the chicken so moist and soft? Twice I’ve ordered from there and their chicken has been consistently delicious! From reading other Unilocal reviews I’ll definitely try the steak next time:)

Not what I was expecting. Ordered the white meat chicken with black beans and yuca fries. Black beans and yuca fries were nothing short of amazing. Beans were well seasoned and had a wonderful texture. Yuca fries were hot, crispy and not oily. The sauce that they provided — I think the yellow one is for the fries, were not even necessary. The fries were flavorful and needed nothing to carry them. Back to the sauce. The yellow one was thick and seemed to be a cross between mayo/mustard while the green sauce was more like a cilantro laden salsa. This is definitely not the green sauce you will find at Pio Pio or Sophie’s. Not much flavor to it either. Pretty useless. The chicken looks like jerk(see picture) chicken and was juicy as well as pretty well seasoned. Since it was early, I think they may have given us leftover chicken from the day before because the taste was distinctive — this was not freshly made. I literally live around the corner and may try them again — just not so early in the day.

Ordered takeout from here recently and got the Family Meal($ 22.50). Meal consists of a whole rotisserie chicken, two sauces and three large sides. I opted for the rice, yucca and platanos as my sides. The rice was good, albeit the«large» side is not enough for a family of four. It’s more appropriate for two adults. The yucca and platanos were also not as large as I would have wanted but they were both awesome. Some of the best fried yucca I have ever had. The chicken itself is large and suitable for a family of four(so long as you don’t have any teenage boys). If you want all white meat it is $ 1.50 extra and you should give them advance notice if you want this. I was told it would be an hour wait for all white meat. The chicken itself was good. I would say it is slightly better than the rotisserie chicken you would get in my local super market. You get two sauces. One was a spicy cilantro type sauce and another was a spicy mayo type sauce. I’m not a fan of cilantro so I skipped that one but the other one was very good. Albeit not very spicy. There is sufficient metered parking in front of the restaurant and there is minimal, casual seating inside. I would definitely buy back from here again — especially the yucca.
