The food is amazing and I was excited to see that this Cape Cod A+W also serves clam rolls and scallop rolls! Their burgers are great and fries are yummy too. Everyone working there were very nice and friendly. Dining room and bathrooms were clean. Yes, it’s cash only, but coming from NY, that’s not unheard of. Some of these other commenters need to stop expecting everyone to cater to their credit cards and start carrying cash! I’ll be back!

My husband and I fantasized a long time about getting an A&W root beer float. We finally did yesterday. However, we were very disappointed in what we received for over $ 8.00! We ordered a large, which was a decent amount of root beer but the vanilla ice cream was just a small scoop. The ice cream soon melted into the soda and we were left with a foamy rootbeer drink. Not at all what we remember. We are wondering if the small float gets the same amount of ice cream. Come on, A&W, you need to put more ice cream into your floats!

Fried shrimp roll and a root beer float brings back memories of the days where you have a tasty meal at a great price, cash only.

I’m pretty sure A&Ws are only in vacation mecas. At least for me — I’ve only seen or visited them on vacation. Stopped by, ordered a root beer float it was cold, sweet and refreshing. I enjoyed some laughs with my kids, a kiss with my husband and a warm summer evening on Cape Cod. Facility was run down, service was impersonal and slow — but exactly what I expected it to be. They only accept cash, but that’s because stepping on the property is like going back 36 years.

99 cents Chili dogs on Tuesdays. Not fancy. From another era. Cool. I like the fried seafood too. Gourmet seekers, stay away! Root beer float lovers, come for fun.

For someone who remembers the heyday of the A & W drive ins, this place is going to live up to your expectations. Frosty mugs of root beer, 99 cent«coney dogs» all day long on Tuesdays… what’s not to love? Plenty of seating contrary to what a previous reviewer stated. Probably best to arrive early for lunch or dinner time during summers on Tuesday as the 99 cent dog deal is understandably popular with families with kids

Ate here with my family over April vacation and I was highly disappointed. First off, they don’t even accept credit cards. I didn’t see any sign saying that, so when the girl told me as I handed her my card I was in shock. Must happen a lot cause they have an ATM right in the lobby. Which I had to pay a fee to use, so that was no good. The food was pricey for a fast food(which wasn’t even fast at all) and it was mediocre. My mother and I ordered the same root beer and her mug was twice the size as the one they gave me. Not sure why, but when you have to pay for refills, smaller is never better. Will not be back.

Love the Curley frys and burgers! Can never go wrong with a root beer float! Survace was a little slow and prices are a little high for fast food!

I just left one of the worst customer service places I have ever encountered. I ordered a cheeseburger deluxe and started eating my order and as I was eating it I realized they forgot the cheese and to add to it it tasted awful! Anyway I brought it back in the hopes they would replace my hamburger with a yummy cheeseburger deluxe like I ordered and the cook, who had a horrible attitude about it, took my hamburger ripped a cold piece of cheese and slapped it on my already bitten hamburger. I asked it they could make me a new one for their mistake and he refused. I then talked to the owner about the poor customer service and he could care less. So $ 10 later, my stomach feels gross from the awful tasting burger with no cheese and I paid someone to treat me like an idiot. So there ya go, stay AWAY from this place they don’t deserve to be in business.

I would’ve given it five stars but it’s a take-out restaurant kind of like fast food so I would feel wrong as an evaluator to give it five stars. This is good food. Not gourmet but good burgers and fries. Everything is cooked to order and not greasy. Vintage A&W. We come here every year for the kids but we all love it!

Great fast food, had chili dogs and frys. Price very fair for what you get. Overall good experience especially after some bad at places our expectations were higher!

This is a really good fast food resteraunt. Better than a mcdonalds but nothing more fancy than your typical fast FOOD. The root beer on the other hand is really good and a must have if you come here. So overall when you come here don’t expect any over the top food but expect AMAZING root beer and root beer float!

Went here one day for a quick lunch with my daughter. Each got a burger and onion rings. I dislike that you have to get up and get your own food, but what can you expect for fast food? It’s predictable and easy. Which, I like.

I would keep driving right past this place. The food is mediocre at best. They don’t take credit/debit cards. Instead they have an ATM machine near the register that charges a hefty fee and provides an additional revenue line to the restaurant. This seems to be a common practice in Cape restaurants. The other problem was cleanliness. The dining room was bad enough, the bathroom made a port-a-john look good.

Best scallops ever. Clams nothing special. Neither is the service. You can go there a hundred times and they’re still asking you if you want the lettuce and tomato that’s included in your chicken sandwich cheap asses.

This is not a standard A & W; food is made to order; includes some local Cape seafood on the menu. It’s a real local business. Tuesday is $ 1 chilli dog night. Different specials other nights as well. People come from all around to take advantage. Wednesday brings old cars to the parking lot for Cruising Night. Hamburgers are not bad in relation to the price though not gourmet or tavern burgers. The root beer is hard to resist. The fried chicken is nice(when they have it). Onion rings are first rate. This is a worthwhile, reasonably priced family restaurant and it deserves support. One small issue: the restaurant closes from Columbus Day to early spring. Volume doesn’t justify staying open all year long.

The restaurant is cash only. You order at the counter, take a seat, and wait to be called to pick up your food. The root beer is served in frosted mugs, but that was problematic when a child ran by as my husband was carrying our food, and stopping short to keep from hitting the kid spilled ¼ of both of our drinks. The food itself was tasty. I had a grilled chicken sandwich and my husband had a double cheeseburger. It’s definitely a place geared towards families though, with video games in the corner of the shop. I don’t think I’ll be back soon since I don’t have kids.

Really enjoy going to this place on Tuesday nights. It is «Coney Dog» night there and the dogs are only $ 0.99 each! The place is spotless and the food is served up hot and fresh. We go 2 times a month for the Tuesday night special.
