We just had breakfast here and found everything to be solid. It’s your standard diner food but it was good and affordable. I had the sausage gravy with biscuits(not the best I’ve had but wasn’t upset to eat it). Service was quick and attentive, place is small but could be a little cleaner. Overall happy with our visit and we’ll definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I visited Daddypops on a whim last weekend. This is what a diner should be. The food was affordable, rightly portioned, but most importantly, delicious. Please note: The diner is a little on the small side so if you’re visiting on a weekend be forewarned that there may be a bit of a wait, but believe me it’s worth it.

Once the review said the triple D’s showed up here, I just had to come. So here is my review I Ordered the Greek Omelet with a side of bacon and scrapple. I’m on a no carb paleo diet and only wanted to taste the scrapple. The omelet comes with home fries and toast and they were not accommodating on the price after omitting the HF and Toast. not even giving a break on the sides… that’s the only reason they didn’t get 5 stars. The omelet was nice and fresh, the bacon crisp enough and the scrapple was tasty!!! Definirely diner atmosphere… There are only 8 booths 13 single chairs so depending on when you come the line could be challenging. I was here before 9 on a weekday morning and it was fine. Bring Coins for the parking meters surrounding the establishment.

This might be a great place with great food. I guess I’ll never know for sure. I arrived at about 11:00 a.m. this morning and sat at the counter. I would say the place was about three fourths full. There were servers bustling about. I sat for eleven minutes,(yes, I checked.) Even though three different servers made eye contact with me, none of them ever approached me. I wasn’t given a menu or asked for a drink order, let alone placed an order. I finally got up and left. I won’t be back.

Wife and I went in for breakfast this past week on a weekday at around 9:30am. It was about half filled had a fairly consistent rotation of people to keep it half filled or more. The atmosphere is intimate for a diner due to its small size, which is nice. It’s a bit dark, they have some unique old barber shop chairs along the bar and good sized booths. They were also well decorated for St. Patrick’s Day. The service was on the low end of friendly and attentive. I wouldn’t go all the way to bad, but it was mediocre at best. I asked for over-medium eggs and was given very over-easy(I can deal with it). The server gave my wife and I each other’s meals. I sat without an empty coffee for five minutes and had to eventually ask; that’s the biggest sin of all in a diner. Further, they just weren’t friendly. My wife and I agreed they all seemed over it. Pancakes were pretty darn good. They tasted like cinnamon donut batter. The sausages were cooked well, but neither of us cared for the flavor. The bacon was cooked perfectly IMO, with chewy bits and not crunchy. Yum. The coffee was definitely decent.

Food is always delicious. Service has been terrible lately. Miss some of the nicer servers we used to get. We used to always bring our out of town guests here, not anymore. It was embarrassing the last time my sister was home. Server not only rude, but also super slow. Could not have been more mortified, since I had talked the place up so much.

Absolutely love this place! Home fries, scrapple, and pancakes are to die for. Get there early in the winter if you don’t want to wait in line outside on the weekends.

This diner is adorable. The food is below average. They don’t make a lot of things. For instance: corned beef hash out of a can, frozen fries, Ruffles(potato chips) from a bag, little containers of «syrup» that is just not good…

I had a cup of coffee, and the sausage omelet, which came with homefries and toast. The food was mediocre, but the diner was nice and homey.

I needed a place in the area to grab a bite that still had electricity this morning while I waited to go to work. I had been to Daddypops years ago, but didn’t really recall my experience. It was 7am and the place didn’t have too much going on, so I went in. Very small place, but cute. From what I hear, it gets super crazy on the weekends. As far as a Thursday morning goes, it was awesome. A couple of loners who seemed to be regulars there. I was told by a customer to seat myself, so I did just that. Menu is small, but that doesn’t bother me. I expect more out of the food from a small menu. They have all your usual staples, plus a couple special extras. The waitress was an older woman who didn’t exactly seem thrilled to be there and let her stress show(which is probably the only reason I gave it a 4). She made it known that someone called out and she needed help, but there was literally 5 people sitting in that place eating(including me), so I thought that was a little weird. Anyhow, I started out with coffee, as most people would. Coffee was actually really good, which is something that doesn’t happen at a lot of diners. I ordered the Greek omelette, which came with a side of hashbrowns and rye toast for me. I decided to live it up and also get a side of scrapple. The food took a little while, but it was pretty damn good. When you ask for crispy hashbrowns, expect them to be pretty damn crispy, almost burnt. That’s the way I like them though. The omelette was a decent size with no complaints. The scrapple is cooked exactly how I like it. A big ol’ slab that’s crisp on the outside and soft with all that pork part goodness on the inside. I almost didn’t want to go to work after it was over. Prices were suitable. If I ever had time to stop in on a weekday morning again, I probably would. I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here though. If you’re in the area, stop in.

Came in here with some friends that I ran into in town, they were heading here for lunch so I joined them. This diner only seats about 50 people, so you may have to wait for a seat, there was a wait when we got there, but it was prime lunch hours on a Saturday so that was understandable. If you’re used to a diner having a massive selection of choices like some do, this is not the place. ½ the menu is breakfast items, panckaes, eggs, hash browns etc & the rest is lunch. I ordered the 3 pancakes(about $ 4.50) & a side of hash browns. Both were very large portions & very tasty. I think they put cinnamon in the pancakes, which was different, but not bad. My friends got cheeseburgers which they also enjoyed. The best deal on the menu appears to be there breakfast special which is 2 pancakes, 2 eggs &2 bacon &2 sausage for around $ 8.

Daddypops is the king of local diners when it comes to breakfast food. Bow down before my mighty spatula, peasants. I’m not joking, if you want breakfast in the Hatboro/Horsham area(Horsham/Hatboro?), or if you’re wearing a hat in a boro area, you need to go to this place to get your eat on. Fluffy pancakes? Check. French toast that will make you want to smoke a long cigarette after? Check. Breakfast meats(yes, including scrapple) that are the perfect compliment, like telling a girl she reminds you of Beyonce? Check. Heavenly eggs? Check. Friendly, speedy service? Double checks like defensemen in hockey. This place isn’t a secret anymore, so you’d better get there before it gets packed, because space is limited like your freshman year dorm room. Prices are also quite palatable, you can always get stuffed for about $ 10 bucks. Lastly, here’s an anecdote about how good this place is. I was sitting next to a young couple there once during breakfast, and this sequence went down: Girl(probably 21): «I just wish you would listen to me more!!» Guy: «…huh?» Clearly he was lost in the deliciousness of breakfast… or he was really just ready to break up with her. Go to Daddypops, your mouth will thank you.

Woohoo 100th review! Was looking for a great diner and found an incredible one instead! Yes breakfast is hard to hard to mess up but you rarely have a excellent one. Everything was perfect from visual to taste. I had the French toast with scrapple, 2 eggs over easy and home fries with onions and it was the best I’ve ever had, EVER. Not to mention it’s adorable.

I know this place was on a TV show and looks like a real diner, but everything about it was poor. Friend and I went there for lunch. The only thing worse than the food was the service. It took over an hour to get a tiny, ham and cheese omelette which had no cheese in it… the toast was burnt and despite trying everything short of a flare I was unable to get either some butter or a knife from the woman pretending to be our server. My friend had a sandwich that came ten minutes after my lunch had been served and featured stale bread. Never again… there’s a diner just to the South that is so much better than this overrated«landmark.»

If you’re looking for an uppity experience with wait staff that yes sir/ma’am you to death then Daddypops is not for you. They don’t take reservations and seating is first come first served. Doesn’t matter if you’re a party of 2 and the next booth that opens up could fit 8, that’s where you’re sitting. The waitresses are the no nonsense type when there’s a line out the door, their mission is to get you in, get you fed, and then get you out! Daddypops is a well oiled machine and I LOVEIT. During less hectic times you can really get to know the ladies who are all sweet as pie. The food is amazing and the portions are huge! If you leave Daddypops feeling hungry you’re doing it wrong. I always get the Daddypops special which comes with two eggs any style, homefries, toast, juice and a coffee for about $ 5! That’s right folks, all that food for FIVE bucks! My fiancé gets the turkey club which is made with real turkey meat, not deli slices, and crisp made to order bacon. We have yet to visit during the week but we hear their open fave turkey with homemade gravy is to die for. Daddypops is our favorite. We’re there every Sunday morning as long as we’re in town. It’s genuinely what I most look forward to about the weekend!

Daddypops is one of our regular breakfast haunts because of its reliably good food, exquisitely efficient service and close proximity to Hatboro’s other amenities. Here your coffee cup will never be empty or even hit the halfway mark(so no disputes about whether it is half-full or –empty), and the coffee is in the upper quartile in terms of flavor and richness. The coffee pots are meticulously cleaned daily, which makes for a much better cuppa joe. Daddypops is one of the few local diners offering a choice of home fries, grits or beans as a breakfast side. The egg offerings include«bullseye» eggs, a childhood favorite consisting of an egg cooked in a hole in a piece of griddled toast. Our personal fav is the Daddypops special, consisting of eggs, toast, choice of potatoes, beans or grits, coffee and juice for $ 5.15. Great food and a great bargain.

Been here many times and definitely a fan. Its a very cute old school type of dinner. Place is pretty small, cash only and if you are coming early in the morning, be prepared to wait in line outside. Very very reasonably priced menu. Only been here for breakfast, can’t comment on their lunch, but breakfast food is very very good. AMAZING home friends, omelets and sides. Highly recommend their grilled kielbasa, western omelets, bacon, and onions in home fries. This place is dripping with soul and all their dishes that I’ve had are infused with it. You just can’t get that at IHOP or your local diner. Grab some cash(THEYDONOTTAKECREDITCARDS) and your appetite. Its old school kool delicious breakfast food.

Came here for a traditional Pa diner breakfast the morning after Christmas and it was everything I wanted! Service was functional, not particularly warm or friendly but efficient and that’s good enough for me. I ordered a french toast platter with scrapple and scrambled eggs-the eggs were scrambled a bit too hard and the cheese wasn’t melted at all but the french toast was grilled to perfection and the scrapple was nice and crispy with a warm gooey center. nom. freakin. nom. I’d definitely return for seconds, next time I’ll just get dippy eggs!

Friggin yum!!! Loved this place. From the great 50 – 60’s feel of the diner to the music to the food and great wait staff! Other reviews arn’t kidding. You can have a wait for sure if you get here too late. It’s small inside… We got there early like 9:30 and waited for about 10 minutes for a table. By the time we sat down there was a good 15 people in line. Now they get to you and serve you food fast so they keep things rolling for sure. I can’t say enough about what a fun place this was to go. Being from Texas I never get that diner experience and let me say again I LOVEIT! Coffee– excellent! Biscuits and gravy– yummies! Home fries — perfection! Waitress/awesomeness! Hell even the guy we waited in line next to was great… Gave us some history about the place and town. I just smiled ear to ear the whole time. So yes it’s a must go!
