Cute little restaurant that overlooks the water, making it a nice place to grab dinner on Hatteras. We’d had a late lunch, and been warned by the portion mentions here, so decided to order off the appetizer and«light meal» menu. Otherwise, entrees cost an average of $ 18 – 20; and as others have mentioned, they’re massive! I wanted a cocktail and chose the Island Palmer — a bit tart, a bit sweet. Hubby had the margarita, which he thought was great. I started with a cup of the crab bisque — which is actually served in a cup. A mug. I was a little disappointed; it wasn’t creamy, seemed a bit watered down, and had quite a tomato-y base. There were bits of shredded crab, rather than lump meat. We also ordered the mussels and tuna bites to share. The mussels were served in a very briny broth, and were okay. Our server had forgotten to bring the bread basket and the side of focaccia with the mussels; but when prompted, she brought both right out. The tuna bites were my favorite — they were lacking in the wasabi flavor, but cooked medium-rare, just right. The sides of sweet chili dipping sauce and fresh mango were delicious. We ended on a sweet note: the German chocolate cupcake(the smallest of some cheesecake and pie slices that would have been about 1⁄8 of a round!). Even though it was a cuppie, it was still large enough to split between us. The frosting was sinfully good. The cake, a bit dry — but the crème center saved it. Not a bad little spot for fresh seafood, drinks, and dessert…

Great dinner in a great atmosphere. Island Perks recently moved down to the Hatteras harbor area near the ferry to Ocracoke and it has raised the stakes for dining. The restaurant is very nice, modern looking with lots of natural light and beautiful views(though the air conditioning was a little lacking). My wife had the bouillabaisse and for one of the very rare times I had entrée envy. It was a huge bowl(and huge is an understatement) of great seafood, from crab clusters to clams, mussels and shrimp and everything in between. I had the daily fish special, grilled cobia, which was good and a huge piece of fish. My wife also had amaretto cheese cake that she said was great but I did not try myself so cannot comment. Overall, a great addition to the island dining scene.

Really good place. Great location and beautiful décor. Food was very good… Fresh seafood and creative dishes. I’ll echo several other sentiments here to say that the portions are HUGE. It would be nice to have an option to pay less and not end up taking half of every meal we had home for next days lunch. Otherwise. definitely go and help keep it open!(and now you can get a real drink with your meal)

We had a good experience here. Food was plenty as would be expected from a Greek owned restaurant. Stavros, the owner was great and was a gracious host. If you are looking for a good, hardy meal add this one to your list. We were stuffed!!!

My wife and I visited here on Monday June 13th. The soup of the day was Moroccan Seafood Soup and it was superb! We both had the tuna steak, she the wrap and I the sandwich, both were delicious. Their bistro sauce really complimented the tuna well. We will definitely go back.

I will try to overlook the inexperience of the waitress and the general readiness of the restaurant since the dining atmosphere, location, and food, for the most part, overcame those shortcomings. Dining portions were good even though expensive, but they are typical of the area. Hopefully, this latest attempt to keep a restaurant open in the Hatteras Landing will work.
