Love this little hole in the wall place! Will be sure to stop by whenever we’re taking the long drive to north shore. Great prices for a decent portion. Can’t forget their amazing service! Everyone there is so friendly.

Besides being great guys, their fried poke plate is one of the best things I’ve eaten. There’s plenty of herbs and seasonings which goes very well with the rice it’s served on. I’ve had it twice now, each time it was ahi tuna and they seated it perfectly so that the outside looked cooked and there was a bit of resistance on the bite, but the inside was still uncooked and perfect. The steak salad was also very good as was the garlic shrimp, but I’m ordering nothing but the poke from now on. One thing to note is that they’re open till 5 but you should put the order in before 430 to make sure you catch them, even if it’s a walk in.

I’ve stopped here a few times on my way to the North Shore. The garlic shrimp is my go-to order… The perfect amount of sauce and already peeled. Their mac salad is delicious and a lot more creative than what you’d get at a typical plate lunch spot. I’ve ordered a few other things here as well and I’m never disappointed with what I get. While you’re at Kaya’s, make sure to get some fresh butter mochi for dessert!

Actually went here around 3 months ago… just been lazy to post… but since it is a 5*…had to follow through and post… my previous job had an appointment in that area and when I searched on Unilocal… it was a perfect 5* at that time so I figured I should try it… I was hoping to get the roast pork… but it wasn’t on the board that day, so I got the pot roast which was excellent. I mentioned to the younger bald guy that this was my first time strictly because the 5* rating and the fact that I live in 96818… it is rare to be this side of the island and asked a couple of questions about their breakfast choices which were still on the board and seemed like great deals. I inadvertently mentioned that I loved french toast without thinking anything about it… but amazingly when he informed me that my plate was ready… he mentioned he made me an awesome order of french toast… WOW! I was thinking I wish I said I loved lobster… lol… Anyway…with a new job now… not sure if/when I will ever be in that area again… but if I do… I will stop by because I still would love to try the roast pork and/or boneless BBQ beef rib… pictures look good! Really glad I stopped by that day!

1Food is pretty special! It’s of an okay price and a good portion. We ordered mini Freeh catch(Ahi fish), with the alioli sauce and Furikake. My friend also ordered Fresh catch(Opal fish). They are both pretty good. The Ahi fish is of a firmer texture, the Opal fish is a bit softer. Order different fish depending on what you prefer: D

Came to check this out on a recommendation. We drove out from Waikiki. The drive was beautiful! And we almost missed the stand! 2 bald guys is inside a shop with sitting outside. It doesn’t seem like much but the food had such good flavor! It was worth the ride! We tried the garlic shrimp and loved it. We tried the pot roast beef and teriyaki chicken. The pot roast was pretty tasty. I really enjoyed my garlic steak! We would go again in a minute! The guy at the counter was friendly and helpful in going over the menu for us. Mahalo! Enjoy your meal!!!

Visiting Waikiki and drove by on a Friday. Me and hubby were full so we decided to drive all the way back out for lunch on a Saturday and I’m so glad we did! I got the teriyaki chicken and garlic shrimp. My hubby just got the teriyaki chicken. The food was delicious! I love seeing the kitchen especially when trying somewhere new and considering it is located in a grungy convenience store I was concerned. But the kitchen was clean, the bald guys were smiling, and the food was delicious. Great job bald guys!

I heard about this place through a good friend of mine, and since we was in the area and they were open. had to give it a try. It’s inside an old original store in Punalu’u called Kaya’s which is the locals spot to go if you’re in the area. As I entered the braddahs greeted me with Aloha, never rushed me to order at all. I ordered the Roast Pork with Gravy & my lady had the Teriyaki chicken. Both were made quick to order, and looked amazing. But let me tell you this… the taste was even much better & portion was great. Mahalo’s 2 Bald Guys, you’ve made yourself a regular customer when I’m on this side.

I had an amazing, delicious fresh catch meal of Ahi blackened with special mango sauce… for $ 10.50. Leonard and Janes are the father and son team of the 2 Bald Guys and are dedicated to excellence and simplicity.

Sorry, maybe I ordered the wrong thing on the menu… but the plates we ordered wasn’t anything special. My husband ordered BG Curry or something like that… it had rice, hamburger patty, curry w/mixed veggies and eggs. My husband said his was ok so that’s the reason for the two stars. My son and I shared a steak and garlic shrimp. Steak and Shrimp was $ 14.50 and the amount on the plate wasn’t even a lot but worse it wasn’t tasty. We spent around $ 24…and we were super disappointed!!! I would suggest you continue on your way, there are a lot of places in the area you can check out.

Mainland Unilocaler here. As the locals on the Island say«Break da mouth, Brah!» «Ono Grindz!» In other words«Really tasty, delicious eats!» I’ve been visiting the Oahu country-side for many years now, and a busy schedule kept me from visiting for the last five years. This year I was finally able to break away. I always stay at «Pat’s at Punaluu» and I found out this little kitchen was across the street. I visited my last day there, Tuesday 07÷21÷15, and man do I regret not eating there every day. My tastebuds and stomach hate me for it. The service: just two guys(Too Bald Guys, Father and Son cooking team) cooking in a kitchen in the back of a small market store. What a couple of amazing guys. James and his Dad are a couple of the sweetest two fellas you will meet on the island. A 16 year old girl with my little party thought he was so sweet and adorable, she said, «I want a boyfriend just like that» and I had to agree with her. What a genuinely awesome couple of guys. Real smiles, real quick service, and even walked the food out to us(you eat outside picnic style). The Food: I had the Roast Pork and Gravy, with Mac Salad and Steamed Rice. Mmmmmm!!! So delicious it really gave meaning to «Break Da Mouth!» for me. The Roast Pork had a light brown creamy gravy that was just perfect and complimented the soft and tender pork perfectly, and was sprinkled with green onions. The Mac Salad was light, creamy, and had a different orange color and mild spice to it. Just about the best Mac Salad I’ve had. The others in my party had the Teriyaki Burger. I didn’t have any but they reported back that it was delicious. The Verdict: The Pros: Great Food! Great Flavor! Great Service! Great Smiles! Great Prices! Great Job Too Bald Guys!!! The Cons: I’m back on the Mainland and now I’m craving that Roast Pork and I gotta wait to go back to Oahu to have some again. To James and his Dad, I really wish you guys the best. I can’t wait to see you guys blow up big and I can say I was there at the start. Good luck and God Bless. I will be back!

Okay so I’m not from Hawaii and just because I’m here in Hawaii I’m not going to use their sayings, but I will say flat out they are legit! I was going to call my order in to pick up, but as my beautiful wife so astutely pointed out, «they might have specials», I am so glad I listened to her. The kalbi beef tastes like it has been marinated for days, and their garlic butter shrimp even made my wife eat the rice, which is huge considering rice is served with every meal in Hawaii so she’s over rice by now. I have never eaten moco style before and their moco had me forget about the scenery. The hamburger steak with grilled onions and brown sauce is amazing enough but the 2 eggs over easy just blew it out of the water. Made me want to lick the Styrofoam container! Every other moco i try has a high bar to reach. Plus I disagree with one of the previous reviews in regards to the macaroni salad, which is an excellent compliment to the meal, keep doing what you’re doing guys!
