Great place for breakfast. Food is great and service is awesome. Get a lot of food for the price.

I’m here every Sunday. Everything I have gotten I have enjoyed. Reasonable prices, awesome staff. Local business which I like to support. Dino the cook/​owner is great.

I was very disappointed in our food and the swiftness in which it was delivered. I am saddened by this because the reviews I read were all glowing. I partly take blame in this next comment. I know on Unilocal!and on their door it says «cash only». I didn’t realize this until I sat down. I understand a business may incur charges by using a credit card machine or POS. I then noticed an ATM machine inside a breakfast joint? I guess it makes sense, but seemed a bit odd. IT’S 2015 people, I don’t know many people who carry cash and furthermore if you’re a business not taking cards, I mean come on and that’s what debit cards are for. I couldn’t give 2.5 stars, so I gave 2 stars. The food was just below average. I had the «meat omelette», the bacon & sausage were a shade bit overcooked. Pumpkin spice coffee was delicious. They had 1 waitress for the whole breakfast place, 2 bus girls, the place wasn’t packed and the food was very slow coming out (22 minutes from when we placed order). We had to wait for the coffee to brew for our 2^nd cup. In my opinion, breakfast should be fast and the food should be tasty. The waitress was polite and nice, I sensed and witnessed the owner or chef being nasty to his only waitress and giving her dirty looks, I could audibly hear him questioning his waitress on an order. It is fair to say there was some weird tension. It’s really really hard to screw up breakfast IMOP, many other places to go. I am only 1 person. I would like to say though, the place was clean, we had ample room to sit, & Mr. D’s was located in a safe and residential neighborhood.

I love going out for breakfast and have been to lots of the places nearby but this place has become my favorite! I always order Greek omelettes and theirs is amazing. Nice staff and the owner seems like a great guy.

Filling and great tasting breakfast! The Hash Browns were good, but the home fries were just ok, the meal as a whole was delicious, and staff were friendly and inviting!

Everything we had for breakfast was good here– great pancakes and eggs and love that you have a choice of home fries, shredded hash browns or fruit. I’ll definitely be back for breakfast

Great neighborhood breakfast spot. the owner is very personable always welcomes you with a good morning and will come over and ask how everything came out when the place is not crazy busy. I usually get the steak and eggs (awesome) and today they were out of steak, the place was packed and he came over to apologize to me that he had run out of steak today before I even sat down, despite how busy they were. Overall friendly neighborhood breakfast joint serving good food, cooked right. Hashbrowns are awesome.

This place is a hidden gem. Stop in and chat with the owner Charlie and he’ll give you the low down on everything going on with the menu. I had the eggs Benedict and the homemade hollindase was amazing! Stole my daughters pancake because it was really good too! Highly recommended.

We came here on a Monday for breakfast. My fiancée ordered the hungry man? i think and I went with a turkey club. His food was delicious, the hash browns were tasty and the waffle was so good. My turkey looked carved and the sandwich as a whole was great. My french fries sucked though :(

First time here. I took my mom here for a quick mothers day breakfast before we hit the road. We were a table of four. I figured the bigger places were going to be a long wait. This place is a hole in the wall. Location was perfect for what we were looking for and it was on the way. Very small with tables very close together but the staff seemed very friendly and the owner/​cook walked around to make sure everything was good.
Food was average. Nothing to complain or rave about. Prices were average as well.
They did accept credit cards even though there is a sign on the door that says cash only.
My only issue was one of the waitresses had sandals on. Isn’t that a health code violation? Shoes are important for your customers and for your staff. She could drop something hot or break something on her foot.
Id go back if i was in the area.

The menu is simple, yet diverse, and everyone can find something to order. From waffles, to traditional breakfast combos, to eggs benedict, and breakfast sandwiches.
They serve fresh, cold fruit (orange segments, grapefruit segments & pineapple), NOT the canned crap drenched in syrup!
Fresh, proper holandaise for eggs benedict.
Fresh REAL potatoes for «home fries».
The spinach was great too.
The coffee was fresh, hot and just the way a caffeine addict wants it!
This is a clean, fresh *new* breakfast place to try & return to again and again.
You won’t be disappointed! If you had previously been to the pizza place that was here, you’ll notice this place has gotten a fresh new look inside too!
The prices are very competitive & fair.

I went to Mr. D’s a couple weeks ago & loved it! My omelette was perfect… It wasn’t on the menu, I just asked for the stuff I was in the mood for. He nailed it. My server was great too, pleasant, friendly and kept the coffee coming! I’ll be back for sure !

So, I’m new to Haverhill too. And Always on the search for breakfast joints — it’s hands down my favorite meal. So today I decided to try someplace new. Very glad I did!
I was warmly greet by the hostess/​waitress. She promptly had a coffee on my table — this is very important! I chose a spot in the window (they even turned up the heat due to the cold weather outside — super nice!) it was a lovely spot.
I ordered the «Hungry Man» so I could try a little of everything. The eggs were very good & well cooked. The bacon was excellent, not too salty and also well cooked, as were the delicious home fries. Real potatoes and skin on! Yummy! The waffle was cold (my fault) by the time I got to it, so I’m taking it home to reheat. Everything was delicious!
The owner is charming and really cares about making sure you’re happy. And they brew a tasty coffee.
The reason for the 4 stars… Margarine. It was margarine on the toast & waffle. You get me some real butter and you have 5 stars my new breakfast friend.
Ps… They have APPLE JELLY!!! Could I give 4.5 Stars? Bonus points for the Apple jelly!
Also Cash only. Bring the green stuff!

My husband and I just visited for the first time with our two year old. We were both happy with our food, but our server seemed absolutely miserable. Especially since it is a new business, I expected better service. I got eggs, my husband got an omelette and fruit for the little one. Everything was good, particularly the home fries. We’ll go again and hopefully get a different server!
One thing to note– they open at 7am, not 8 as mentioned.

Just went for breakfast with a friend. We each had the «hungry man» with different sides and egg styles. The portions were huge but not ridiculous, everything was freshly prepared and delicious and the prices were very reasonable. At one point the owner/​chef even came around the dining room just to see how everyone was doing. The Belgian waffle was one of the best I’ve ever had and the coffee was great, too. I’ll definitely be going back for more. I wish I lived close enough for delivery.

We had a really good breakfast and service at the new Mr. D’s Diner located in a hidden residential street in Haverhill.
Mr. D’s Diner is a small very clean diner that has recently opened.
The food is absolutely delicious and very good quality. I had the Florentine Benedict and it was amazing. It had tons of bacon, spinach in a homemade hollendaise sauce.
Their fresh blueberry muffins are also addictive and huge!
The service was very freindly and attentive and Charlie, the owner stopped by to chat and to be sure that we had all that we needed.
I will certainty return to try more dishes!
