We go here every week at least 2 – 3 times a week! So yummy and the staff is amazing and so friendly. My son, myself and fiancé always order the same thing and we don’t even need a menu they already know what we get and call us by name. We love it there, foods amazing, staffs amazing and it’s always so clean and homey inside!

I’ve never had a bad meal, San Diego breakfast burrito is amazing! My dad isn’t a Unilocaler but he has breakfast here every Friday and never has a complaint. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. Food is always hot and they have la columbe coffee! Weekends can be a little crazy, I suggest going during the week if you have the chance! But none the less it’s always worth the wait!

Kettle is my favorite area restaurant for both breakfast and lunch. The eggs in a basket and the Reuben sandwich are delicious, among other items. The place is small so expect a wait on weekends. Would love more fries with the platter, but to be fair I leave satisfied and not overly stuffed!

This is a great family friendly breakfast/lunch spot. We go here frequently for weekend breakfasts. The pancakes and huevos rancheros are great and they have an interesting rotation of daily specials. Also, the service is always quick and friendly!

My family and I go to breakfast here about 2⁄3 times a week time permitting. Great family atmosphere, service is great, and they are awesome with my 2 ½ year old son. We usually order the same thing every time, two eggs over easy, home fires with peppers and onions wheat toast, my son gets the pancakes of the kids menu, which a grown man would have trouble eating due to the size of these pan cakes mind you it comes with 2, and I get a bacon egg and cheese on a sesame bagel, with a side of plain home fries(which don’t taste like papers and opinions) which is huge because that’s the reason I order them plain I don’t like peppers and onions and don’t want to taste them, this is not a problem here, as other places can’t seem to comprehend that concept. Needless to say we haven’t eaten breakfast at another spot in almost 2 ½ years unless we are on vacation and then of course nothing compares to this hidden gem.

My wife had breakfast(crab cake benedict) and I had lunch(beef sandwich with caramelized onions). Both were excellent and accompanied by different types of delicious fried potatoes. This is a very nice, clean restaurant.

The lunch and breakfast spot in Havertown called Kettle is a neighborhood eatery well worth seeking out. But when you get there be prepared to wait. It’s always crowded because it serves up some extremely tasty breakfast and lunch dishes. A recent late lunch here had us all ordering breakfast(I think that sentence makes sense!) The Santa Fe scramble was scrambled eggs taken to a higher level — one occupied by the delicious pork and green chili huevos rancheros. And the bananas foster French toast on brioche was the sweet part of the meal. And if you like potatoes(and who doesn’t), place an order for sweet potato fries. They don’t come any better than they prepare them at Kettle. The atmosphere at Kettle is light-filled with large windows, there are both table seating and a marble counter, and the service is small-town-America friendly!

Very good breakfast and lunch spot. We’ve been there several times and have never been disappointed. Great portions for a very good price. Because the place is not huge and offers such good food expect to wait a bit to be seated. Trust me you won’t mind the wait once you’ve had your meal.

This review is limited to their brunch menu as I haven’t tried anything else there. The food is exceptional! Do not miss the veggie scramble and add bacon to it if you’re not vegetarian to get the most perfect scramble you have ever eaten. Reason I docked a star — their ‘fresh’ orange juice comes from a bottle and the service is average at best. I’m a fan of the fantastic food and it’s a great addition to Brookline Blvd

I love this place so much, I have to come here every time I am home. The Santa Fe Scramble is probably my favorite breakfast anywhere. They also always have great salads and I have never had a bad meal here. Favorite breakfast spot in delco.

Stopped here for breakfast. There were people waiting and my wife asked how long the wait would be. They said it wouldn’t be long. 50 minutes later we were finally sat. Not a good first impression. The service was underwhelming at best. Server didn’t come by to refill our coffee. Plates say on table when we were done. On the positive side the food came out fast and was great! Very good food for sure. In summary, awesome food and bad service…

Sunday morning around 9:30am, walked in and had to wait about 15 to be seated for two people. It is always busy, especially on the weekends. There aren’t many tables, so the wait is usually long. I ordered a special that was on the blackboard for the day. Biscuit and gravy with eggs and hash browns. It was really good. Overall, had no issues Water tastes funny but that’s tap water for you. Other than that, def would go back.

Tasty food — I loved the veggie scramble, and a really nice atmosphere. My Uncle and Aunt frequent this place, and I can see why. The coffee was ABSOLUTELYAMAZING. Make sure you remember everything you order, because sometimes the waitresses don’t(I’m still waiting for my fruit)! I would definitely recommend this airy, lively, restaurant for anyone who is in the area. =)

We waited for about 25 minutes at 12:10 pm on Sunday. Which is a reasonable wait. The tables on the sidewalk were full and the tables inside were also full. We sat on the benches outside the café. I live nearby and there is always a good crowd waiting in line to eat. Honestly it was a hot day and I was happy to get seating inside in the air conditioning. The husband ordered his favorite: eggs over easy, sausage, home fries and toast. It’s classic fare done right. Real potatoes, good sausage and good bread. I had the tacos with 2 eggs over easy. The beef was so flavorful and tender, ranchero sauce. I really enjoyed it. It was plenty of food for me. I like a crispy corn tortilla I can hold but it was good with a folk and knife My son had the breakfast burrito. It was eggs, potatoes black beans, peppers and more yummy stuff. My son would have rather had no black bean drizzle on the burrito because he wanted to hold it but the drizzle, as well as the burrito were gobbled up. The menu looked good, banana monkey bread, wraps and all the regular breakfast fare. I can see why there is always a good crowd waiting to eat here. I plan on returning. Ok this is 4 ½ stars only because the wait staff was not good about filling the coffee cups on Sunday.

I just visited Kettle for breakfast this morning. It’s a cute restaurant that offers both inside and outside seating of your choice. The inside has a cute cottage charm while the outside was a usual café setting. The menu had both unique and classic choices — they even had a light menu. We decided to get one of the more unique items, the Nutella stuffed French Toast decorated with strawberries and whip cream and it was delicious! The cost was sufficient for what you’re given — I’d say you could split 85% of the menu with a partner as the portions are fairly large. As for the service, the employees are very quick and mostly friendly, they seem to get people in and out as fast as possible for their demand — and that’s not in a bad way. They always scope the area for who has left, hastily clean the tables, and move on to the next guest. The only thing was our waitress took awhile to get back to us after we told her we needed more time to look over the menu. She seemed overwhelmed to host customers, clean, and serve as waitress — which coming from someone who works in food service, it is indeed, a lot to handle at one, giving me the impression that they were understaffed. It wasn’t a huge problem though, we just informed another waitress of our wait and she got our waitress for us. Overall, I’d say Kettle is a cute gem to try out if looking for a good breakfast or brunch meal.

The Kettle is a small café on the corner of Brookline Blvd and Darby Rd. It’s a prime location and a pretty cute restaurant. There are probably 15 tables inside and a long bar/counter off to one side. Kettle was recommended by a friend over another restaurant so we came in for lunch on Saturday with my in-laws. They were serving brunch and lunch and we all opted for the latter. Service was painfully slow. Our waitress was really fake and inattentive. It took her forever to get our drinks and she did refill my water glass once through our meal, but didn’t refill anyone else’s iced tea. She was also really awkward when taking our order. After every single thing we ordered she would be like, «Oh my gawd! It’s AMAZING. SO delicious. The best» Uh, honeycakes… how can everything be the best? Oh right. It can’t. And it wasn’t. Not even close. I got the tomato and avocado grilled cheese and the best thing about it was the bread, which I’m pretty sure was just Arnold’s multi-grain. That you can get at any grocery store. Tomato and avocado were under-ripe and flavorless. The fries were decent. MIL got a burger, which she liked. FIL got mac & cheese and the soup du jour. I tried the mac & cheese and wasn’t impressed. He liked that it didn’t taste over-salted. I thought it was missing a certain sharpness/tang that I prefer when I eat that particular delicacy. Hubby got the turkey bacon avocado. They brought out a BLT w/avocado. After a bite, he realized something was missing and for some unknown reason our waitress actually appeared and had it corrected. After we finished eating and as the waitress was clearing off our final plates, I asked her if we could please have the check. She said sure and then proceeded to hug every one of her coworkers and the next 3 people who came in the door. Then she had a few conversations behind the bar. Meanwhile, we’re all sitting around a table with empty cups. She made side-eye contact a few times while she was conversing behind the bar. She finally brought us our check and then stepped away for another 5 – 10 minutes. I couldn’t get out of there fast enough when she finally processed our credit card. When all was said and done, lunch took over an hour an a half. Thanks, but no thanks. Will not be back.

We love this place. We have been multiple times, tried most of the menu, and everything is delicious. My favorite is the breakfast burrito. Also a wonderful kids’ menu. I met the owners and their family on my last visit, they couldn’t be nicer. A great addition to Havertown eating.

We stopped into Kettle again this week. On this visit we split the biscuit and gravy special that was served with two eggs and choice of breakfast meat and the brioche French toast. We washed it down with two cups of the La Colombe. The food here is well-prepared but it just didn’t do it for us this week. The gravy was a bit flavorless and the French toast needed something more and a long dip in the custard mix. I was not happy that when I asked if they had real maple syrup they said yes, brought it, asked me if I wanted more before we even started and the charged me $ 2 for two ounces. Service is not strong and the place fills up by 9AM on the weekend.
