We are from St. Petersburg, FL, we were looking for a local breakfast place and found Hidden Julles via Unilocal.Had an awesome experience in a small town! Food was fresh and tasted scrumptious! I loved the French toast it was different than I expected and loved it! The staff was friendly and the owner/chef came out and chatted, we became fast friends!

Very friendly service right when we walked in and plenty of tasty, healthy options. I think this place will continue to get even better, look forward to trying it again! Loved the bread on the egg salad sandwich and good coffee.

I know I’m in the minority, but I wasn’t a fan. I wanted to like it here, but there were several things that bothered me enough to warrant a 2 star review. 1. There was only one table in the whole restaurant that sat more than 2 people and it was a 6 – 7 top. I felt like a thief sitting here with my two daughters, but the only other option was to move a table from the other side of the room or sit 3 people in a 2 seater. 2. Flies. They seemed to be all over, which I guess happens when you have a lot of fruit inside, but it was gross, and annoying. 3. Dirty tables. There was one person taking orders, two cooking and another person doing I don’t know what, while we were there. After we took the large table, another party of 3 came in after us, and someone came out and finally cleaned off two of the dirty tables and moved another table over to seat their party. 4. The bakery case was very light. I honestly thought there would be more options in there. Props for a lot of gluten free choices. Probably more so than regular options. 5. Upon ordering, we were told our side options were hash browns, sweet potato hash browns, toast or fruit. Myself and one daughter chose sweet potato hash browns. I actually had to add the side to my daughters dish. After ordering and paying, the cooks notified the counter person that they were out of all potatoes and that our only option was fruit or toast. I really didn’t want either, but chose fruit. Since I had paid extra for one serving, I was credited for the price. I haven’t seen the credit yet, but I’m assuming it will come. Upon delivery of the food, the counter clerk told me that she credited a cookie, too, for the trouble. 6. Price vs portion — It was a bit pricey. One daughter ordered a $ 6 smoothie. They really need a stronger blender, because it was full of seeds. I have a vitamix at home and we get no raspberry seeds in our smoothies. I ordered a breakfast platter, which should consist of eggs, meat and a side. I believe it was $ 7.49 for two eggs, two strips of bacon and sliced kiwi. It came out on a huge plate, for the tiniest meal, so it actually made it look smaller. It needed potatoes. My daughter had their special of chipped prosciutto gravy on an english muffin. It was very good and also $ 7.49. She craved something go go on the side, also. 7. Their ventilation needs a lot of work. The whole time we were there, it was smokey inside. They need an exhaust fan or something to keep away all that smoke. Overall, it wasn’t awful, but I don’t think it’s worth a return visit. Props to them for being conscious of the environment and using as many biodegradable items and real silverware where they can.

Just moved to the area and am always looking to put my money towards local businesses. We stumbled into this café after an event haymarket was having. We heard smoothies, and I figured my 6YO&3YO would like a nice cold drink. I walked in, and it was busy and the employees were constantly moving and obviously looked exhausted AND yet i was still greeted with a smile and an explanation of the business. It’s a local organic café that has wonderful brunch items that I will be back to try. If you are a busy mom and looking to get a quick smoothie, juice, or my favorite kombucha, THIS is the spot!!! My children loved the smoothies and I even asked for spinach and coconut water which they added free of charge! It also looks like they have story time for children every Wednesday. I will definitely try that event out and leave an updated post. My favorite was seeing information on every item they use in a their dishes, from local honey/jams/spices to coffee roasters and local farms. Hands down, it’s worth the prices because their special attention to the quality of every ingredient used in beverages to meals.

What an awful first experience. No second dates for us here. We ordered take out for Father’s Day. First, they left my wife waiting in line for a long time while one person behind the counter made coffee as the take out was getting cold and other clients waited. By a long time, I mean an inordinate amount of time. To top it off, upon returning the employee was short and rather rude. Poor service. They don’t put food under warming lamps so upon picking up the take out, it was cold. Then they packaged it in plastic containers and made the toast wet. Soggy toast, soggy french bread, cold ham, and cold, tiny eggs. I ended up tossing the soggy focaccia bread because frankly, it was nasty. If you’re not prepared to offer take out, it shouldn’t be an option. Finally, we ordered a mean green juice. It sounded delicious but I can’t review it because alas, they forgot to give it to us. For the prices you pay here I would have expected better. Honestly, it is beyond me how they have received good ratings. Maybe we got them on a bad day, but this is unacceptable.

I’ve been here twice now, and I’m really digging it. The first time I had a meeting with someone and just got an americano. It was pretty decent. The guy I was meeting with got a breakfast burrito and really enjoyed it. He especially enjoyed his fresh squeezed OJ tho! They have Eggs Benedict for $ 10, and I am definitely going to get that next time!!! Then I came with my wife for lunch and we loved it. Great sandwich selection. I got the Hobson, which is turkey, lettuce, tomato, avacado, with a dijon mustard on some kind of amazing bread. My wife got a panini that had turney, brie and some type of chutney. Wow!!! Hers was amazing!!! Both were fresh, made to order, and delicious!!! The inside is quaint, small tables, a little awkward, but cute. Great staff! We loved the place. We will definitely be back!

This place is fantastic for breakfast! I currently live in Arlington and only go to Hidden Jules when I’m home visiting my parents, but I crave it everyday. Their breakfast sandwich is delicious with fresh bagels and meat and I always enjoy their iced coffee! The owner(who I think may be the owner) is so nice and always checks on the customers to ensure we are enjoying our meal. Wish I could go more frequently!

Delicious sandwiches and smoothies. Everything is organic and natural. A few reviews will state that service is «friendly but slow»; no — it won’t be as quick as fast food… but they make everything fresh and on the spot. So, it’s worth the wait. Great folks, great food.

Formerly known as Bonjour is now«Hidden Julle’s». The first time we went after the transition — we we’re quite disappointed. We gave them time and went back this weekend. This time, the place looks so much better and the food was fabulous! I am so happy to see the improvements made and we will definitely come back!

A little hard to find but so worth it! it’s part of the same building as Cathys Hair Design. Main entrance is in «back» of building. Mango Chicken salad sandwich on whole wheat was fantastic. Generous portions(almost overfilled) of tasty food.

Great little place in Haymarket. Its not easy to see from the main road but worth the extra U-turn. I went in with some family for sunday brunch and we had a wonderful meal. The staff is personable and polite. The chef(i assume it was the chef) personally checked on patrons, he recommended a few items to out party. After our meal we got some baked goods to go. The puff Pastry is a must have and the scones were great. I would recommend to anyone in the area check this little spot out.

After having a less the happy experience at the Warrenton location the owner generously reached out and invited me to come to the Haymarket location where he would refund my money from the other shop. Because it was never really about the money, but more about the experience I choose to just come in and order without asking for the owner. OMG! Amazing. Had the house made crab ravioli topped with local sage sausage, poached eggs, and house made hollandaise sauce. Absolutely incredible. The service was on point, the staff friendly and welcoming. Wow. Come here, you won’t be disappointed!

What a great place, but certainly hidden. Just look for the big white building with red shutters. Awesome brunch with fresh ingredients. We had the two egg omelet with chorizo and regular breakfast with bacon and home fries. The portions were perfect and again, loved the freshness and flavors. My wife had a banana smoothie, do not shy away from the option with coconut water. Would definitely go again and look forward to our next visit.

Top quality, fresh, tasty food — prices are reasonable and you get a lot for your $$ — friendly staff, lots of free samples, super dedicated & passionate chef/owner w/interesting ideas to keep your taste buds busy and, no, I’m not related to these folks, I just wish I was… :) We tried: Lemon/Cucumber fresh juice, Tom-Tom soup, Santa Fe sandwich, Eggs Benedict, homemade Tiramisu’(almost as good as my own and I was born/raised in Italy) and a great fizzy drink made w/fresh oranges/maple syrup & S. Pellegrino water(outstanding, way better than S. Pellegrino Aranciata). All top notch! Coffee was good, but could be warmer — not a biggie as I was busy sampling all the goodies. Will be back and I will recommend!!! MT

First time visit today and was quite impressed. I got the turkey and brie sandwich with spinach and chutney. I would have liked a bit more chutney but overall very tasty. My wife got the Santa Fe which was also good, however we were expecting fresh turkey vs. Deli turkey. Our kids split a turkey and bacon sandwich which they enjoyed. The orange fizz drinks are outstanding made with San Peligrino, OJ, and Maple Syrup! They also have several vegan and gluten free options. I give it a 4 star rating as this was a first time visit but will definitely be back. For those who may say pricey, I say you pay more for fresh ingredients and great local taste.

Sad to see Café Bonjour go, but this place is proving to be yummy so far. I came in at about 11 on a Tuesday and there were 3 or 4 people/groups in there. The décor was lacking and is a little sad. It was so cute and cozy how café bonjour had it decorated. I’m sure in time they will have it more put together. I got the Santa Fe sandwich which was pretty yummy. I took it to go and they had it ready pretty quick. They were pretty generous on the guacamole which was awesome but it was still a bit dry. It needs some sort of chipotle mayo to add some more flavor. Despite that I would get it again. They had lots of paleo and gluten free baked goods in the display. None of them really perked my interest, but in general they seemed pretty health focused which is nice as I don’t feel like we have many options like that here. And they seem to maybe make fresh juices? Don’t quote me on that though. Overall I would say it’s worth checking out and I will certainly be back!

I was sad to see that Café Bonjour closed, but Hidden Jules seems to be a great replacement! I only had time to grab some coffee and a couple muffins, so I can’t speak to the hot food, but the chocolate-chip muffins were fantastic, and the service was super friendly. Next time I’m in the area I’d certainly stop by again. EDIT: 500th review already? I should have made it longer, but it was a good muffin…

Hidden Julles Café just opened a location in Old Town Haymarket one week ago. This is their second location — the first location being in Old Town Warrenton. I’ve eaten at the Warrenton location many times. The menu appears to be the same as the Warrenton location. Stopped in here today to grab a Chef’s salad to go — had them add some avocado to the salad. The salad was fresh and tasty! I’ll be back to enjoy other menu selections — I like their spinach salad and some of their breakfast offerings!
