Worst place ever. Food tasted old and nasty and I got food poisoning from it. Currently throwing up rn. Only good thing I can find to say is fast delivery. I not only wouldn’t recommend eating from here I’d recommend otherwise

Had a delivery from this place, a couple times and the last time portions were much smaller and food seemed old.

Delivery was fast, food was ok,
Location was pretty scary.

One of my favorite places to get egg foo young. I love that stuff!!!

From the moment I walked in they had a horrible attitude. I felt like everything I asked was a burden. I ended up not even ordering there because of the service.

Super quick yet still hot and fresh! The husband and I order from here pretty regularly on Saturday nights. I usually get the mushroom beef and some egg rolls and pot stickers. We have had chicken chow mein and mushu pork, a few other things as well and no complaints. Definitely my first choice for delivery in the area after trying a few other places. Its delicious!

Amazing food, amazing prices, nice service.

I enjoyed my order and it was fast. I want to order again sometime soon.
I’ll rate again later to see if i still get excellent service.

Delivery was in 28 minutes, rather good!
Free Appetizer: fried crab wontons: D (but hey, it was free)
Lemon chicken: B (not too sweet, too much breading)
House Chow Mein: B– (lean on the veggies, good flavor)
House Fried Rice: B+ (great taste, too much actual rice, not enough other stuff)
Beef with Snow Peas: A– (a little gristly and the water chestnuts tasted weird)
Fish with Garlic Sauce: A/​F (I loved it, partner hated it)
Best Chinese delivery we’ve found in Castro Valley yet… now if they can only maintain and not have weird drops in quality like Great River. Cross yer fingers!

Eastern winds No 2 is the best Chinese food in Castro Valley /​Hayward, I use to have them deliver over to my work during those slow days. The food is always tasteful and full in ingredients. The customer service is on average great with the occasional good or so so service. The physically restaurant is okay to eat at but it’s more of a takeout or delivery establishment. The lemon chicken, beef sticks and crab wonton is the best items on the menu.
I highly recommend you stop by or order delivery for your Chinese food cravings.

Food is incredibly good!!! Fresh and full of flavor. You would never expect it coming from a take out place. Fast delivery, and everything on the menu is awesome!!!

NEVER AGAIN. We ordered food and found a CIGARETTE BUTT on the bottom of our food! We called in to make a complaint and were given nothing but attitude and were hung up on! NEVER COME HERE!

Very quick delivery and the driver is very courteous. Only two stars because of the food:
The Good:
– Egg rolls –delivered hot and crispy, if greasy, but might order again
– Sesame balls — Nice. Not as good as Silver Spoon, but still good. Would order again.
The Bad:
– House Chow Mein — so loaded with soy sauce that the noodles are deep brown. Salty enough to float on the Dead Sea. Shrimp was so mushy, I initially thought it might be tofu. It does have meat, so I guess that keeps it from being Ugly.
– Lemon Chicken — Incredibly dry chicken, and I mean dry-like-maybe-it’s-too-old (?) Nice sauce, not too sweet. Too bad the chicken itself sucked the saliva from my mouth and wore out my jaw after one piece.
The Ugly:
– Dry braised ribs — I’m no chef, but wow, SO heinous. Deep-​fried, battered (yes, battered) inch-​long gristly nubbins of bone with some extra battered-​coated fat attached. Are these cat ribs? Rat ribs? What animal has ribs only one inch long? Totally inedible, if somewhat amusing for their «guess-​the-​mystery-​animal» value.
–Sweet and sour pork — Wait, no I must have ordered the sweet and sour GRISTLE. Was there pork in there? Hard to say. Good sauce, deeply awful «meat.» What little meat there was (hidden in the gobs of batter) was drier than a desert pine tree and twice as chewy, and it was hard to find among the nauseating gristle. Inedible. Even the local stray dog wouldn’t eat it, and he’s homeless.
*sigh* I hate leaving this type of review. Did I mention the driver was super courteous and very quick?

I would give negative 5 stars if I could. I ordered about a month ago and cancelled my order and the delivery man still shows up at my house –_​– not my fault… So I placed an order today through the EAT 24 app, a few minutes later I got an email saying the restaurant closed early. I called in and of course I got an answer because it was 7 PM! I asked to check the status of my order and the guy LIES and tells me that it’s too far to deliver, I asked how when I always order from them, then he goes on to say that last time I cancelled my order … Okay so what if I cancelled my order. With THIS current order I paid with my card so they already have my money but won’t deliver to my house? WORST Customer Service EVER!!! Rude assss Chinese people. I do not recommend them at allllll.

We ordered pork with garlic sauce and Szechwan tofu. When wet got home, everything was just coated in sweet and sour sauce. The pork was like jerky and we both got severe food poisoning. I do not recommend! Go to the eastern winds in Fremont; it’s much better.

Just ordered online for home delivery the other night. It has been ages since I got food from them. We got the cashew chicken, general tsao chicken and the potstickers. All soooo good and fresh. Lots of veggies with my cashew chicken. Will order from here again !!

I’ve brought them down a notch because 1) they now charge for delivery and 2) I’ve had more of their food and find all their sauces to be too sweet.

Amazingly mediocre. Here’s what I got.
Broccoli Beef — more broccoli than beef, the beef was pretty low quality.
General’s Chicken — this was good.
Hot and Sour Soup — very good, the best thing we had.
Pork Fried Rice — regular.
Crab Rangoon — didn’t order this but they gave it to us. pretty stale, lacking flavor.
Spring Roll — not very fresh. spring rolls should be refreshing.
Wonton Soup — this was pretty bad. a couple lonely wontons in a watery broth with broccoli. broccoli? no bok choy? no green onions? lonely soup.
Overall, a little disappointing. This ran me like $ 36 or something. They were friendly and fast at least.

Yeah I’m a fan, 5 dollar lunch boxes. Went in there service was quick, a hefty amount of food. This is a take out joint they also deliver, if you are looking for something quick and filling this is the place

Not sure why a Unilocaler said this place was closed, I just ordered from them for dinner! GREAT PLACE! super fast service, food came in 20 minutes. food was hot and decently good.
I will be ordering from them again, and asking for a menu!
