Jake from Synergy was super nice and helpful when he came by to check our home and prepare an estimate for us. He was attentive to detail when he looked over the house and helpful with all of our questions.

Some of the worst customer service I have experienced with any company. I had an 8 to 9 o’clock appointment which they never showed up to. The HVAC company that referred them to me got a hold of them and they told them that they left me a voicemail. I had my phone on me the whole time and I did not receive a single phone call. They rescheduled the appointment, not through me, but through the HVAC company between 930 and 10 and they were late to that too.
I called a representative of theirs three times and he only answered once. The time I got to talk to him he told me he would call me back with an ETA for his crew but he never did. On top of that there was no apology or explanation granted to me as to why they were late.

We could not have had a worse experience with this company when they did lead paint removal on the house we were renting as they exposed my entire family to lead dust. Because I have a two year old and a newborn, I was very concerned when our landlords decided to do lead abatement on the outside of our house. I contacted the health department’s healthy homes division and they told me what I should look for to make sure we weren’t exposed to lead and assured me that if they are certified to do lead abatement that they would take the proper precautions. I also met with a supervisor from Synergy before they started the process who assured me they would take the steps that were outlined by the health department (covering windows and doors with plastic, not allowing lead paint chips to land on any part of the house or lawn or garden because it would all be completely contained, etc). This was supposed to be a 4 day job and on the second or third day I got a knock at my back door when they were working and when I opened it there were lead paint chips EVERYWHERE and no plastic to be found. They were also sanding the paint off of the house and exposing everyone who walked by on the sidewalk and there was lead dust all over our window screens, porch, lawn, trees, sidewalk, etc. When I asked him where the plastic was that they were supposed to use he pointed to a small square of plastic covering a tiny section of the porch. We called the health department and they came out and wrote them up and told me they were completely shocked at what they saw and encouraged me to file a lawsuit against them. I had to have my babies tested for lead exposure and it took Synergy two weeks to clean up all of the lead dust that they were responsible for. They had to send a crew of men in hazmat suits and gas masks into my house to decontaminate it and test every surface and it ended up being a huge and scary ordeal when the could have prevented it by taking the precautions they told me they would take. DO NOT use this company for lead removal. Not only did they operate in an illegal manner, they were unsafe and their communication was horrible. They never told us which side of the house they’d be working on and which doors/​windows we could use or not use and on the day that the men came in to decontaminate my house I had no idea they were coming or that I’d need to be out of my house that day for the entire day with a newborn. It was an unbelievably horrible experience. The only positive thing I can say is that they offered to pay for my children to be tested for lead and gave us a small amount of money to compensate us for the trouble– it wasn’t nearly enough but at least it was something.

I would recommend this company. I called and was connected to Peter Landre, an estimator, right away. He was very nice and helpful. I scheduled abatement immediately thereafter. Jesus Osegura, the supervisor, and his colleague were prompt, friendly, detail-​oriented, considerate about protecting the personal items in our home, and went the extra mile to explain the process to me because they knew I was concerned about my 16-​month old son living in the home in proximity to asbestos.

So happy to recommend this excellent company. We needed extensive asbestos removal, and the team led by supervisor Antonio Briceño worked swiftly, and with professionalism. They were on time, helpful and gracious. The quality of work was thorough. I received outstanding service.

The one star is based on their communication/​follow through. The hiring them and getting them to do the job (asbestos removal) was actually pretty smooth, but they left all the plastic sheeting up which no doubt has asbestos on it. Over the past 2 weeks i’ve called them 6+ times, emailed 4+ times. a couple of those times they said someone would be coming over. Nothing, no action, still waiting…
Makes no sense, since they completed the tough part of the job and with any reasonable follow up on the plastic would still have earned a good review.

I don’t know how anyone had an opportunity to rate them higher than a 1. I have been trying to get a hold of someone other than the receptionist for over a week. I have left messages for multiple individuals and the receptionist took down my information twice and on one occasion promised I would get a return call that day. I wanted to use them because they were recommended by multiple agents… but it is just time to move on.

Before we moved into our home, our attic had a history of a pigeon infestation. All of the insulation and venting had been encrusted with feces. Synergy was in charge of disposing the old insulation and replace it with new insulation. Even though, our attic is 4 flights of stairs to reach, the onsite crew covered with plastic, all the floors and stairs leading up. Keeping our carpets and floors clean! They were fast and friendly.

Had a great experience with Synergy.
Their professionalism and service impressed me tremendously. They did an asbestos abatement and did everything top notch. Their price was not the lowest but was fair and reasonable. There were no hidden costs and everything was upfront and proper. Their quality of work was excellent and I appreciated their fast response on emails. They started the work quickly and completed it within a week. All the paperwork and certifications were perfect and mailed to me right after the work was done. I would recommend synergy as an excellent company.

Great job and fast too! We had Asbestos wrapped ducts in our attic and they came in and safely removed it. They showed up on time and were very professional. They were very careful not to let our cats out and the work was done surprisingly fast. I feel a lot better knowing that the asbestos is out of our home. Luis D. and his team did a great job. Terrible service. No one picks up the phone. Left a message and didn’t get a call back. Even requested someone to call me on their website. Had a mold problem that I needed taken care of. Pretty disappointed…

Recently had to replace the original asbestos wrapped ducts under my 80+ year old mom’s house. I was concerned because she has severe asthma and respiratory problems. Agustin R. & Juan showed up at 8am as scheduled and efficiently went to work. They were professional, personable, and tidy, answering all of our questions & concerns. Thank You!

I recently learned that my 50+ year old HVAC system still had the original asbestos insulation wrap around the ducting.
My original fear of how big of a project and how messy and expensive this might be was quickly calmed by the professionalism and thorough answers given by this company.
From the telephone scheduler who was able to send a crew out within days of the asbestos discovery, to the friendly guys who worked under our house – Jose Barcenas was the lead on this project – everything went very smoothly.
Though my family and I decided to be gone during much of the project, it appeared that they did a very thorough job of blocking the vents and crawlspace and removing all of the debris in sealed bags as to not leave a scrap of the bad stuff or have it blown around the house during their movements.
Overall, I would highly recommend Synergy to anyone faced with an asbestos removal project. They were referred to me by Service Champions who installed a new ducting system after the asbestos removal was complete.

We recently used Synergy to remove the asbestos from our mother’s 90 year old heating system. We anticipated this being a huge and messy project… I was wrong!

No more asbestos wrapped ducts! After consulting a few abatement contractors we settled on Synergy. The price was fair and they were available to start right away. The two person team of JESUS and CARLOS were excellent to work with. They were PROFESSIONAL, FRIENDLY, CLEAN, and accommodated all our requests, Thanks for everything.

I wanted to like these guys since this is who my agen recommended and the salesperson was responsive each time I called and the pricing beat out the other 2 quotes I received to remove the popcorn ceiling.
However, here are the items that went wrong:
— Scheduled time to arrive on sight was 8−9a. I called at 8:45 to check that theyd make it by 9a because I had to catch a flight at 10:30a, the salesperson I’ve been working with had to reach out to his contractor to get a status. When I got the call back, I was then told that the contractor would not be able to to get to the property until 10−11a.
— The work was only supposed to be a 2-​day job (Thurs & Fri). Come to find out that when I returned from my business trip at the end of day on Fri, I walk into the property and the only thing done in two days is they set up the plastic. I called again and the person I dealt with had to reach out to his contractor again to figure out what was going on. Got the call back that they needed one more day to do the work. Now this really starts cutting into my timeline because that now kills my Friday night and Saturday to get other work done
— I now go in Saturday late afternoon to see what the deal is, and there is still plastic on the walls. Not knowing if other work needed to be done — a call would have been nice. Not until 7−8p, I get a call that the work is completed but the plastic needs to be left up because they need to still test the air and wont be able to get confirmation until the morning that its clear
— Now that its clear, the plastic is still up, which I’m ok with since I need now to texture the ceiling but come to find out they werent just taped up, they were stapled too all over the place
— Also what about the doors and light fixtures that they took down to do the work? I guess I will be putting that back up myself
Surprisingly enough, while they knew that the other unit needed its ceiling done once the tenants moved, they did nothing to satisfy the customer to lock in a second project. With that being said, I have number of properties that can use similar service that I’m just going to have to spend my money somewhere else.
If you have a tight timeline and certain expectations, I would not recommend these guys.

We called Synergy based on a recommendation from our Realtor. Our home is older and contained asbestos in the heating pipes and no insulation in the attic. The estimator, Peter, came out and looked at everything and gave us a very good price and was able to schedule right away. We were expecting our first child and it was important to get this work done before the baby came. Peter assured us that all of the work would be done in one day and it was. Very professional company that I would recommend to anyone.

This review is based on my interaction with the company president and CEO Sal, as well as their practice of providing air testing after the asbestos abatement service which is a clear conflict of interest.
Synergy’s associate, an estimator according to Sal, had divulged what should be a private information about my house to a third party. Not only did they discussed the estimate they had gavin me, but a misinformation as well. It took about 6 calls, speaking with three personnels, leaving voicemails, and waiting for 4 days to get a return call about the situation from Sal. When he called me, he was rude, raised his voice to me, and ultimately hung up. I thought his demeanor was condescending and unprofessional.
When I purchased my home two years ago, I had Synergy do the abatement work in conjunction with a whole new HVAC system done by BMC mechanical. Back then, I had not paid attention to the fact that the air testing should be done by an independent lab, and should not be provided by the same abatement company. It is only ethical practice to have the air sample collected and tested by an independent lab. Synergy collects the sample and send it out for lab results. However, there is not a assurance that the sample sent out to the lab will be the sample collected from your house. At the time, I did not pay attention to their work, as I did not wanted to be around asbestos removal process. I was satisfied with their work after the air test result, which I now feel I can’t completely trust.
Recently, I had to some extensive research and had to do lab testing on my floor tiles under the basement carpeting. I spoke to many industry experts. Based on my findings about Synergy’s reputation, I decided not to use them again. Especially after I spoke to the company’s president, Sal, and how he treated me over the phone,
