Known this place for 6 years. Been going here every time the hubby and I crave for Mexican tacos. So far, they have the best carne asada and al pastor tacos. Well, everything here is delicious! Customer service is very good. And prices are reasonable. Tacos are cheap. And they have the jalapeños and carrots that I love, love, love! Other places try to make their own, but it’s just not the same. You gotta have these with everything!

Probably the best bang for the buck burrito deal in the bay area. Super burritos are huge for $ 5, no tax. Free pickled jalapeño/carrots/onions. Plenty of carne asada throughout from start to finish. Only gripe is I said no beans, but they must have forgot.

I have been going to this place for years. The corn tortilla tacos are great. Before, I would just get the beef and pork tacos. Then I got a little bit brave and tried the lengua, buche and cabeza(tongue, belly, and head respectively). They are so good and not as greasy as the beef and pork. I usually come here on a weekend. I would avoid coming here at noon as they can get very busy. There is only one person preparing the food and the lady who takes the orders helps with packing your order. Here is a tip, if you like the sides it comes with(pickled carrots, jalapenos, onions), you can ask for extra and they will give you a generous amount in another bag free of charge.

Ordered tacos al pastor and they were good. My babe ordered tacos de asada and he had no complaints but that the lady was rude. He actually said to give 3⁄5 stars just for her attitude and not asking if we wants chili or any of the other toppings. We didn’t want any of it and she put them anyway. Hours say 0900, they aren’t up and goin until 1000. In addition, she had asked«to go or for here», I responded«to go» and she still have is our food«for here».

Go early in the brunch time and all meats guaranteed. So popular they run out of the favs sometimes in late afternoon. Not only are they humble, hard working peeps, but they are one of the freshest trucks around. Tacos are great. If you have a $ 5 bill and in need for a burro with your fav meat, then this the place. TAX Included ya’ll !!

Ho man, a $ 5 burrito in the Bay?! And it’s good! Madness! Indeed, I love this little taco trailer. So, no need for a fancy review, what you see is what you get. Cheap food, family owned, very cool people, and contrary to their page they close shop at 6pm. I grew up eating at dives and taco trucks out of the south side in Fresno and always love it when I find a gem and this place is was a great find. If you’re expecting super greasy, deep fried non-sense you best look elsewhere. The tortillas have that right amount of crisp, the carne asada is grilled just right and their rice is on the money. If you’re heading down this way and want a good burrito for $ 5(tax included), I recommend swinging by. Just look for the CHP building :)

For $ 5 the super burrito is a good deal. They have the Mexico coke and nice homemade pickled vegies. Its a tiny little trailer run by two ladies right near the CHP office. parking isn’t as bad as before but since the Roach Coach storage lot closed its much easier. Stop in for a try.

Came here for lunch thinking they had tripas tacos — apparently I should have gone a bit further down Whipple for that. Still — I tend to like tacos from trucks or trailer stands better than sit down spots, so I figured I would try the other things they did offer. We ordered: pollo, buche(stomach), lengua and chicharron tacos. Everything was spicy and delicious, except the chicharron. I was expecting it to be crispy and it was not — not sure if it’s because we took it to go but it was like eating pieces of fat. No bueno. They also advertise the buche as «pork belly» and while it’s tasty, it’s probably not going to be what you expect when you picture a taco made with pork belly. Husband ordered a burrito. I only had a bite but it was pretty good. Not sure if I’d be back since there are other options in the area but I’m glad I tried it out after driving by so many times!

They’re across the street from the Target. They’re kind of hard to spot if you’re not familiar with this road, especially because it’s a super tiny trailer of a «taco truck». so keep your eyes peeled. Sometimes there’s a truck next to them, on the street, that sells produce, which acts as a sort of taco truck camouflage. Also, the current picture of the truck on Unilocal is incorrect.(I’ll be sure to snap an updated picture on my next visit.) Great tacos. I love their corn tortillas. Standard authentic tacos. Also like that they have outdoor seating available. They’re just flimsy plastic chairs and tables that are there for practical purposes — it’s not clean, and it’s not pretty; but I actually like it. It’s kind of experience to have some real tacos and an ice cold soda in a parking lot. One warning: they run out of stuff. I suppose it’s because they’re so small, supply is an issue. If they run out of your thing, try something else, cause it’s gonna be delicious either way.

Great street tacos. I have always missed all the taco trucks around when I lived in Oakland. After moving to Union City I’m so glad to find this little taco spot. Their hours are not as late as I would like. But that’s ok. 8 tacos for $ 10 is a great deal, and their salsa verde is BOMB!

It doesn’t matter if «I’m up all night to get lucky.» It ain’t gonna happen. o_O I usually score when it comes to food, but I sadly struck out by going here too. Ay dios mio. I really expected more. This food cart has been around for years(there’s even a flag out front that serves as an advertisement), and I was excited on Monday night when I finally bought from it(it only took me a minute to walk over from the CHP– my son’s new car seat was installed). Muy Bonita: I thought that the food cart was only run by men, but 2 women were inside. My cashier was young and very cute. I tried not to stutter while I ordered. I had to wait about 5 minutes for my food(4 people were waiting for theirs when I arrived). I took my food to go, and was given a few napkins(I didn’t actually expect to be given any). Great Hours: Mon-Fri 9 a.m.-7 p.m.; Sat 10 a.m.-7 p.m. Taco: $ 1.25. Burrito: $ 4.50. Super Burrito: $ 5.50. The menu is quite solid, and there are 9 types of meat to choose from, including buche(pig esophagus– mmm). There’s a nice selection of drinks. There are 2 plastic garbage cans around. There are also 2 tables that each seat 4. As another reviewer has stated, there may be a lot of customers around at lunchtime. Another food cart was also in the area, as well as a food truck. I don’t believe they were open, though. Carnitas Tacos: $ 1.50 each. I thought that my tacos were going to be $ 1.25 each, but I must have been charged more because I wanted cheese(another review basically supports this). Anyway, I’ve been charged more for less, and so I’m more than fine with the price. I’m not going to give a score(my scores are based out of 10). It wouldn’t be fair. I wasn’t able to eat my tacos right away. In fact, I didn’t have them until last night. I’m taking that into account, but my tacos still weren’t the greatest. I got my tacos the way I wanted them, and was definitely given enough meat and cheese( ). My corn tortillas were pretty good. So was my cheese. My carnitas were disappointing. They were really lacking in flavor. They even made me think of beef at times, not pork(beef carnitas exist, but I wasn’t actually given any). Right away, I bit into a chewy and rubbery piece of fat. Not good. In general, though, my carnitas were quite meaty. Some seasoning could have helped. Anyway, I’ve had better carnitas tacos. This morning, the tacos made me sh– big. I felt as light as a feather afterward. (TMI? Kiss my a – .) Um, 3 stars it is! Even if I’m in the area, I probably won’t buy from here again.

This place is a «food cart» located across from target, same side as CHP. I get the Al Pastor or Carne Asada tacos or Carne Asada burrito. Its decent and well priced, $ 1.25 for a taco, $ 4.50 for a burrito. Don’t expect to be able to order and grab your food super fast around lunch time, there’s usually a wait as there is a good crowd of people waiting for their food. But that’s a good thing, right? Who wants to get food from the empty food cart/truck anyways? They also supply you with complimentary carrots, raddish and jalepenos, mmm

Tacos La Chaparrita has a food cart in front of this assembly center of food trucks. it’s near the chp office at whipple and widgeman. menu: tortas, burritos, tacos, drinks… meats: asada, pastor, pollo, lengua(tongue), cabeza(brains), buche(pork belly), chicharron, chorizo(sausage) y barbacoa(spicy lamb) eats: lengua taco(1.25) –pretty tender tongue, pretty of radish, etc. *taco de barbacoa(1.50) –lots of semi spicy lamb, not so tender. kind of chewy frijoles refritos –good value, –steady stream of spanish speaking eaters here –not one gringo seen here.(just a heads up). –bilingual, efficient service
