Wendy’s

The remodel looks great! I got to sit next to the fire place. Yay. Staff and management are very friendly. Food is good.

After a long busy day, I went through the drive thru at this Wendy’s. I only ordered a couple meals and some extra chicken. The person that took my order made a mistake on what I wanted but Joseph came through to save the day and gave me my order without hassle. The cashier forgot to charge my daughters chicken nuggets so Joseph added it to our order free of charge. He was incredibly friendly, super helpful, and had amazing customer service. I will definitely return to this location.

They are open again!!! The new store looks amazing. :)

The food tastes better since it has been remodeled & anyone giving low reviews for bad service should be reminded that this is a fast food place and that the employees probably are sick of you expecting more than that .;)

I love this Wendy’s and have NO CLUE why they decided to remodel… It was already a nice location! Food on point… Its closing totally ruined my quarter at CSUEB. I miss their Chicken apple pecan salads and chili! The workers were also awesome! OPEN SOON PLEASE!

i dont understand why it says open if its notthat is false advertisement and that is very unprofessional. all i wanted was a bacon burger!!! thats it

A FEW WEEKS AGO I WOULD HAVE FAVE THIS PLACE NO STARS! But I’m happy to say things have changed. so we eat here a lot I have a 7 yr old who loves loves loves frostys and this place is literally down the street so after repeated problems with this rude lady and screwed up drive thru orders I yelled at the woman and asked where the manager was… I explained how it’s not so much that things get screwed up although that is common and really irritating but how nasty she is and the whole staff seems to follow suit… well I guess he took me seriously because in the last few weeks the staff has become nicer and the food has been on point… the manager is always in the store it seems now and it’s become a much better place to eat, so I say if you have a complaint take it to him because it seems like he is really trying his best to turn the store around and I’m glad I don’t have to find a new wendys to go to

I know it’s a Wendy’s so it’s not a 5 star a restaurant, but I think this is a 5 star Wendy’s. I go to the location a lot and they get my order correct 95% of the time. The Frys tend to be fresh and they are quick with the service.

they have the new coke machines. still have a descent value menu. with item’s still at 99 cents.
i never have a issue at this place.
for fast food one of the best places you can get in the area. not too many bums around.

Just checked my my bank statement online. I never ever use my credit card when I buy small things but ¹⁄₂₄ I I only had a $ 100 on me when I went to this Wendy’s. Well I did my homework and I know for a fact 1001% that a SOB that works in this place stole my credit card number as I handed it to him in the drive thru and couldn’t see him for about 15 seconds.

I like Wendy’s but won’t be coming back to this location because the manager is such a dumb fuck. I got my food and asked for a water cup and accidentally pressed the wrong button for water and soda came out of the machine. He then says I just got soda and wanted to charge me for it. I told him I accidentally pressed the wrong button and dumped the soda out. He then rudely tells me not to do it again and that there are cameras around. He was such an ass about the whole situation and I advise you to never go to this location. Go fuck yourself minimum wage manager.

Got their BBQ sandwiches in the drive thru today and my husband cut the roof of his mouth in what appeared to be a piece of wood? Drove all the way back to get a refund. I’m calling their corp office to tell this place shouldn’t be open! Stay away!
So I left the regional manager a voicemail and not even a call back to say they are addressing their issue-​gross!
Never did get a phone call back from regional manager. I think that says a lot about how little they care in Hayward !

I don’t normally bother with reviews of fast food joints, but this one continually screws up the drive-​thru orders. Twice in a row now, and after finding out way too late to go back.
My family likes their burgers plain. We don’t ask for removal of one ingredient, extra another, it’s just plain. That’s it. Meat, cheese, bun. It doesn’t seem that hard. This time around, I actually asked when I got to the window (since they screwed up the last time I was there) if the two burgers I ordered were plain. The server thought one was, so I handed both bags back — heard the staff say «both should be plain» — they handed one bag back (which my son checked — all good), and then the second one they checked and said was already good. Fantastic, right?
Um, no. Drove 8 miles home to get the other order to my other son — the works on that thing. My god. And no — sorry, yes we’re picky — scraping it off does not do the trick. Too late, too far to go back for one burger. It would’ve cost more in gas to go back.
It’s not the money (although it adds up), I am just floored that it’s so hard to get that right. And twice in one visit.
Yeah, the folks were nice enough. They just weren’t competent enough, sorry to say.
I complained to Wendy’s corporate because I’ve had enough money wasted on this. I guess if you do go and try to order anything in general, better check what you get.

This is a fairly standard Wendy’s, though maybe a bit on the smaller side. I actually worked here as a cashier from July to September 2008, and I can tell you that this is Hayward, so it attracted its share of, shall we say, unsavory customers. I think I only went back as a customer once after I stopped working there. Didn’t see anyone I knew.

A bunch of kids handling the late shifts but they are ok. The quality stays consistant and the value menu is great! Right off Jackson so it can be super busy. Also across the street from McDs and down the st from El Pollo Loco.

I like the food. but i went through the drive the other day and askes for some bbq sauce for my chicken sandwich… the awkward teen was very polite and gave it to me and the OWNER all but flipped out on him, RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME, THE CUSTOMER. He said «why are u giving her all that?» The employee was nervous and replied that he was giving it to me because i asked for it. The owner said to him VERY rudely «for what?! Youre going to make me BROKE!». What a LOSER! My order consisted of about 6 sandwiches and he was trippin off 3bbq sauce packets??? I just dobt think he needed to embarass himself and his employee in front of a paying customer… i dont support mean bosses. give the kid a break. and if u cant afford to give bbq sauce with cicken. maybe u should reconsider owning a wendys

So funny story, my classmate’s family owns this franchise. He did his persuasive speech on why Wendy’s should be your fast food choice. I’ve always loved Wendy’s jr bacon cheeseburger and frosty already, but it’s been days since the last time I actually ate at Wendy’s. So after his speech all I can think of was «I’m going to eat there for lunch.» Anyways from CSUEB it’s kind of hard to get to this Wendy’s or maybe I just took the long way to get here.
So when I got inside. nobody was in the cashier when I already know what to order (I waited about 1 to 2 minutes) til somebody finally noticed me. That’s why I’m giving this place a 4.
It’s my first time trying out the ciabatta bacon cheeseburger and O.M.G it is so good… I mean first bite and I was in love!!! Bread was on point, not your regular lettuce and tomatoes (mixed green with roasted tomatoes) soooo yummy!!! The bacon you can actually see them lol and big portion of it. And the sauce in it just binds the whole burger together. My fave burger here by far. I also love their apple salad here but please keep this burger in the menu forever!

I’m terms of food quality, I think Wendy’s beats McDonald’s or Jack.
The baconator is the bf’s meal of choice while i am a huge fan of the chicken pub. I can’t think of any other place to get chili or baked potatoes. And Frosties are the business.
Unfortunately the drive thru can get quite long, a result of the overflow from the crowded El Pollo across the street. And they some how seem to forget things every time. Sauce or fries or a drink. We’re usually asking for something before we leave. And my pet peeve is my burger problems. Granted it’s difficult when you want honey mustard and Munster cheese but no cheese sauce but some how that leads to no cheese at all or no sauce at all… every time.
Whatever I’ll still eat it seeing as its walking distance and you can’t beat their dollar menu.

Notes: Service was wonderful, I don’t know what the other Unilocalers are talking about. Order the pretzel burger, fries and chili, they are YUMS. And the service was fast food quick!
