Finally good wings in Hayward.

This shit was terrible, I will slap their shit if they ever reopen.

I live around the corner from this restaurant and have noticed that the building has been dark since the end of June. A couple of days ago a «for sale or lease» sign went up on the building and the telephone number has been disconnected.
I actually visited this restaurant a few months ago when it first opened and had a mediocre experience with the food and service. I wanted to visit again when they got the kinks worked out in order to give them a fair review. Well I guess I won’t get that chance.

I always make it point to drop in whenever I’m in the neighborhood. I was sadly surprised today to find this business closed its doors? Their wings & pizza were second to none. The community definitely lost what I call a gem of a good eating establishment.

Ive been driving by this place for a while now and all of a sudden I had the urge for some waaannngggsss and I said what the heck!!!
Good thing I decided to go… one word… Delish!!!
I was greeted by the server and asked her what wings she recommended and boy did she not steer me wrong!!! teriyaki, Garlic and Parmesan and of course Buffalo.
I was pleasantly surprise as to just how much meat was on the bone and the 3 choices the waiter referred were fantastic!!!
There was a great full bar, about 10 TVS playing sports and a nice large layout for seating or parties.
I came to find out this was a family business so why go for wings at Pizza Hut when you can have this great friendly family service pour their hearts into making you something delicious.
ON my way out I was told to try the chicken and waffles and so I will return!!!
Keep up the great work Wingport my only suggestion is that you exterior walls are rather plane… get it lol
Adding some signage or painting it with something more vibrant may just pull in more customers ;)

I came here last night with my mom to try it out since it is the newest place in town. I really try to support local restaurants as much as possible. The place was really great and I am glad they opened up down the street from me!
The place used to be one of the best pizza joints ever so it will be hard to replace but I think it has come close. When we first arrived one of the owners came to seat us and was very friendly and brought us some waters. After looking over their menu we decided to go with their 10 piece wing combo. I tried the garlic parmesan and the medium spicy buffalo sauce. Both had great flavor and crispy just how I ike my wings to be. For my side I had the fries which were solid.
My mom had the sweet chili and smoky BBQ flavors and boy was I jealous. I think the best flavor was the smoky BBQ. It was just the perfect balance of flavors between spicy and sweet. For her side she chose the cole slaw which was pretty good but needed something. maybe pepper or saltiness.
The only downside is that there is a bit of a wait for your food, we didn’t order any appetizers so we waited a good while. Maybe over time this will improve as they get more practice with being in the restaurant business.
I will be definitely coming back to try some more flavors and try some of their other dishes!

I took some coworkers here from down south we all loved the food! I had the chicken and waffles which I thought was much better than that place in Oakland and my coworker let me taste some of his jambalaya which gave my grandma a run for her money! I got to watch the basket ball game with some great drinks over all really accommodating! Plan to come back soon!

My wife and I finally got to eat at Wingport after three previous attempts right after they soft opened. The first two attempts, the computer system was not working and so they were closed, no big deal. The third try a week later, just as we were about to sit down, I got a call that the dog was loose from the back yard so we had to leave and go him.
The wait was worth it.
Service was excellent, prompt, immediate, careful and caring. Not rushed. Attentive. 5 stars.
Price: Good value for the money, but not cheap. Well worth it. Portions were just right for a hungry duo but not so much that there was take home. 5 stars.
Ambiance: The room is split, one third is the bar and the balance are banquettes and tables. I like airplane models and they have several. I think that they need to work some more on the theme, but that is ok with me. 3 stars.
Noise: There were eight in the bar having a good time with March Madness, two tables occupied in the dining room. No problem with noise, though it might get kind of loud with a full house. 4 stars.
Restroom: Exceptional. Clean. Fresh. They may want to figure out how to get the soap dispenser in the men’s head installed over something other than the floor. 4 stars.
Appetizers: Had the Cheesy Garlic Bread. Exceptional. Fresh Bread. Lots of garlic well handled. More than one kind of cheese. Sliced for bites. Easy to eat and crunch and yummy. Took home two orders to go. Best ever anywhere. I will go through the rest of the appetizers on follow up visits. 5 stars.
Drinks: I had a Sierra Nevada ale. Fresh. Pulled well. Perfect. Outstanding follow up on the second draft. My wife had one of the drink specials. Blue thing with lots of stuff in it. Not my style but she loved it. She is generally very critical and the cocktail was loaded and first class. She rated it highly. 5 stars.
Dinner: My wife had the St Louis Ribs with lots of onion rings and potato salad. She wanted the mild sauce on the side and it did not come that way. The server knew that and asked my wife if she was OK with it. She was. Truth is she should have asked to have it redone, because, regrettably she has a tender palate and the mild sauce had too much zing for her. I ate the ribs. They were tender, smokey, fall of the bone with a mild sauce was mild and very good. J ust not her taste. I thought the portion of ribs, 4 or 5 was a bit small, but for the price it was OK. The ribs were very meaty and excellent. The Onion Rings were fresh and crunch and smooth and very good. The potato salad was good. 5 stars for taste, 3 stars for quantity so I guess an overall 4 stars.
Dinner: I had a large bowl of Jambalaya with chicken, shrimp and andouille sausage with garlic bread. Tasted Easy to me. I have been to NO and this did not disappoint. The seasonings and zing just sort of add and add and add and it was most fine. My only gripe that the bowl was too hot at the point of service to eat. Personal preference of mine that I should be able to eat it almost immediately. The garlic bread was ample and delicious. It all melded together as jambalaya should. Nothing overwhelmed anything and it was authentic. Non purists may want it different but this was fine by me. Outstanding. 5 stars.
Disappointments: I really hate small paper napkins with ribs and jambalaya. This is the only miss in my opinion and I think this place will get better with age.

If you are looling to support a local business, eat good food that is not from somebody’s test kitchen and if your preference is not a chain then get yourself here. Terrific place.
If you just want to eat well, drink, watch some sports, not go broke while doing it there are no better places to be than Wingport. I added up my scores. This comes up a 5. It is not perfect but this is the place to be if you are in the neighborhood. Well worth the trip and the expense.

Yesterday was my first time trying out this place and let me say it was AMAZING! Waffles & Wings-​BEST FOOD COMBO EVER! The place is big with a lot of seating, lots of TVs, a bar, GREAT food & GREAT service.
I had the 2 Waffles & Wing Combo and My Wife Had Wings & Fries. The food was amazing! Everything was so fresh and the waffles werer to die for! I cant wait to try their pizza. Drinks & appetizers where half off and the waitress was very attentive, she even let us sample some of the appetizers and made sure we loved the food. I cant wait to go back & bring some friends & family.

Really great place for some wings. Wings were meaty, crispy and the sauces were flavorful and tasty. Got the Spicy BBQ, Sweet Chili and Garlic parmesan. The BBQ and Chili sauces were really good. Also got the garlic fries which were good as well.
Lots of seating and TV’s. You can probably see a tv from any seat. Service was very friendly and attentive. Our waitress also used a tablet to take our order. First I’ve seen in the East Bay!
They close earlier than it says here on Unilocal.I usually see them close around 8:30/9.

after driving by here plenty of times we have finally come here to eat. I ordered the wings, my boyfriend ordered the chicken and waflles, cousins kids pizza, pulled pork sandwich, and the catfish and jamabalaya. Everything was good.
I do wish they seperated the wings though. All three flavors were very good but I dont like my flavors mixed

My Fiancé and I went here based on some Unilocal reviews and just passing by.
We ordered the Chicken and Waffle, 20 piece bone-​in wings and Garlic Fries.
The Chicken from the C&W was really flavorful and Crispy, The waffle on the other hand was soft. It was good but I like my waffles crunchy so it’s just a case of preference. The wings were really good we got the Sweet Chili, Garlic Parmesan and Sweet smoky BBQ. The Garlic Fries were good too just the right amount of garlic
«D» was our server and she was very welcoming and accommodating with our order. I asked for cheese on the garlic fries and a soda water with lemon wedges and splenda for a drink. Not the normal order but she delivered very prompt and quick service.
The only thing con was toward the end, we waited a little long for our check but our server was also the bar tender so as the bar got busy, she had to attend to her other duties. The manager, at least I think he was the manager, checked on us and made his rounds to the tables which I thought was a plus!

So I’ve been here a few times now so I guess its review time. The potato skins have been on point on every occasion. Its not just skin it has just the right amount of potato skin, potato, cheese and bacon. This is definitely something I always order. The wings I order the first time were huge they had to come from a chicken that really worked out but when I took my friend here her wings must have came from the runt of the flock. I didn’t care for the chicken strips because the breading didn’t stay on… maybe the forgot to dip the chicken in egg first? The owner is really nice and friendly but service should be quicker at times.

I loved it! Great setup. Flat screens all over the place. Full bar. Great service! Friendly employees in a great atmosphere.
I ordered Chicken n Waffles, delicious! My girl ordered Buffalo wings with fries n cole slaw, awesome. Beer and a Lemon Drop to top it off.
Decently fast service.
Definitely will be back.

We went with a party of 7, to this new spot. IT WAS DELICIOUS!

Such good food, but their service needs to improve ASAP. It took way to long for everything from service to food to drinks.

I have been waiting for this place to open up because its right next to me! The wings were super good and a great price. The sweet chili and smoked barbeque was awesome! The lemon pepper was really crispy but not as flavorful. We shared the nachos appetizer which had good toppings but the chips were a bit stale. I had the chicken and waffles. The chicken wings were very crispy and delicious. The waffle was also very good but could use a little more crispy to it. A bit soggy. I had the SFO pizza with pepperoni and sausages. It was great, just the right amount of tomato sauce with crispy edges.
My main reason for the 1 less star is because the service needs some work (I didn’t deduct that much because they are new). We ended up being there for about 2 hours. We were seated right away but our appetizers took about 30+ minutes and the food took 45+ minutes. One more big thing for my lack of a star is because the prices don’t match the portion size. My pizza was a super small personal sized pizza which left me still a bit hungry and it cost about $ 8. I don’t think I’ll get that size again.
I definitely like the atmosphere though and we really needed a place like this in the area.

Finally a place to have Great Wings! Love the location and the flat screen tv inside.
We ordered wings, wings and more wings, with a side of Garlic Fries. Let’s start with the Garlic Fries it was delish, nicely golden fries, not soggy, with just enough garlic. As for the wing, we had Garlic Parmesan, Lemon Pepper, and Hot Wings. All the wing were cooked perfectly, not to wet, but not to dry. Garlic Parmesan is my favorite. Lots of garlic and oil. Lemon Pepper is good too and so was the hot wings.
As for the customer service, I LOVE IT! Very friendly. Always coming around to make sure everything was OK. They had a Birthday Party when we were there, they gave us free cake. FREE CAKE!
I will defiantly go back to try the pull pork sandwich, burgers and pizza.

This was our 1^st time checking out Wing Port & I can assure you it will not be our last. We just had the wings this time. It is a the WING PORT after all.
The interior is bright & clean. There are at least 7 big screen tvs on the walls for your viewing pleasure. There is a huge one right above the well stocked bar. This would be a great place gnaw on some wings, put back a few drinks & watch the game.
The service was fabulous. we had a small problem with our order (hey, it happens from time to time!) and the manager (or maybe owner) came out and took care of us. He brought out new wings and different wings to try and more fries — there was enough food to feed a party of 6! 5+ stars for that kind of service.
Now on to the wings. We had lemon-​peppers, zesty BBQ & the hottest hot wings. They were fabulous! The BBQ starts off sweet and ends with a nice kick. The hot wings were flavorful & hot — not just Tabasco hot. And the lemon-​pepper puts that greasy lemon-​pepper dressing at Wingstop to shame. This stuff was awesome. It was fresh and tasted like it was just whipped up — not poured out of some jug from Costco.
We will be back! I wish them nothing but success. We need more places like this & less national chains in the area.
