Reliably good, quick pizza, and friendly service. Also highly recommend the calzones — best in the area!

I wish the pizza that came to our door was as good as others said. It came a bit cold, cheese become hard and it wasn’t too fresh, not sure if it was just a bad night or whatever but I’ll need to try again to make a better opinion. However, the calamari was very good, thats something i’d definitely get with every order.

By far the worst pizza I’ve ever had in my life. We ordered a large plain pie and it took over an hour to get delivered to us. I was at my friend’s house and his roommate said this place was close by(It’s about a 5 minute drive). The cheese was weird and plasticky tasting and the pizza was cold, hard, and really dry. I hadn’t eaten all day so I was starving and ate a slice. Couldn’t eat anymore but I was still hungry and unsatisfied from this disgusting pizza.

Been here a few times for take out during lunch. They have decent specialty pizza and pre prepared sandwiches/rolls you can get on the go. It’s a small pizzeria with about 10 tables. Prices are reasonable.

Delicious food. Great customer service. Very accommodating and they will make food any way you want plus the costs are reasonable. Buffalo chicken pizza is a staple. Chicken parm is outstanding. Located on Bethany Road next to Dunkin Donuts. 2 minutes from Route 35. Going back as often as possible.

Let me start by saying, this pizzeria has the WORST customer service I’ve ever experienced. Let me explain my experience today: I called 12 times, couldn’t get through the line because it was«busy»(it’s 2015, splurge on some call waiting). Then when I did get through I was put on hold for 6 minutes. Then when I finally get through to place my order after calling back AGAIN, the young girl I ordered with replied with«okay hold on one second» with every little thing I said. BUT she at least got the order right because when I asked her to read it back, she got the order right… Okay. When I arrived at the pizza place there were 9 workers, outnumbering customers completely(why was that phone line so busy?) the worker behind the counter made a comment…“tell whoever ordered the coleslaw that we don’t have it, this is a pizza place”, meanwhile they sell macaroni salad with their sandwiches, tell me why it’s such a far fetched idea to sell coleslaw? And maybe they could train their employees a little better so they could inform the customer when taking the order in the first place. Even with all this my friend tipped them 6 bucks because we used a coupon, which in the past we’ve been looked at sideways for using(if you don’t want customers to use coupons, don’t print them — they’re really the only reason why we come anymore) so when we handed them 6 dollars the response was«what’s the six bucks for?» Obviously, they’re not giving good customer service, hence not knowing how to receive a tip. Get the hint! When we got the food home, the order was still screwed up. The food is good, go there if you want to be treated like garbage. Sincerely, finding a new pizzeria(which there are plenty of good ones around town, that probably sell coleslaw, with at least mediocre service.

Their pizza rocks. We always order from Salerno’s because they have so many varieties of pizza. We went wine tasting at 4JG’s on Saturday, and enjoyed a great day. On the way home we picked up a couple of pies, and they were perfect.

Ordered from Salerno’s yesterday. My family of 6 had 3 paninos, a small personal pan pizza, and chicken Parmesan dinner. It arrived within 30 – 40 minutes to our surprise. On my son’s second slice of pizza he discovered a short brown hair. Not 2 minutes later my mother in law pulled a 3 inch strand of blond hair out of her mouth that was imbedded in her chicken cutlet panino. The food went into the garbage after that and I made a phone call to Salerno’s. One of the front girls answered the phone and I was quickly put through to the owner/manager(?) who then argued that the 3 inch blond hair couldn’t have been from his workers because they are all Mexican with short black hair but that the hair on the pizza could possibly be his own because he sliced it. He offered to remake the food to which I replied, «ABSOLUTELY not, we do not want any more contaminated food from you.» The owner/manager repeatedly denied that the hair could belong to his staff but what about the girl who answered the phone? Maybe she has blond hair and could have been the culprit. I ended the conversation by stating that we will never order form Salerno’s again and we would tell our friends and family about our experience to which he replied that I couldn’t do that because it was slander. PS I wrote this review and an hour after our disastrous dinner the Salerno’s delivery driver returned our money and apologized on behalf of the establishment. Thank you for our money back.

Wow very impressed. Stopped here on the way down the shore via Unilocal.Ordered a buffalo chicken salad, margarita pizza, and Sicilian pizza. I also picked up one of the eggplant Parms on the counter(a lil too garlicky for me). Great value and a very satisfying meal

Wow. If for any strange reason you’re ever in Hazlet… You NEED this place. Small and tucked away, I found it with the help of Unilocal. It was so close to my hotel and got pretty decent reviews. It’s small on the inside, but we had plenty of seats to choose from. The menu is big, and everything sounded amazing. However, the slices are what drew me in. They had me drooling. I decided to order a small chicken pesto salad and a slice of the chicken pesto thin crust that was Sicilian style. The person I was with ordered a MONSTER deep dish slice of buffalo chicken pizza and a cheesesteak roll(which was essentially a smaller version of a buttery Stromboli). Every bit of food was extremely extremely delicious. I’ve eaten a lot of pizza in my day, and I’m pretty sure that may have been the best I’ve ever had. The cheesesteak roll was so savory… even my salad smothered in pesto dressing was epic. I’m pissed I don’t have a place like this back in Philly.

I’ve had better. Had a chicken broccoli rabe. Chicken under cooked and sauce was water down. Now stomach is all screwed up. Usually it’s pretty good but not tonight…

Salernos pizza is better eaten at the pizzeria than getting delivery. It just seems fresher when you eat it there. The Grandma slice is out of this world and you be surprised how good it is, get a corner slice! A huge gripe is the pizzeria seems to mail it in very early. If you go in at 730 to get a slice, prepare for a VERYLIMITED selection of slices. I went in one time and they literally had no plain slices to sell! Who does that?! Overall the food is good but loses two stars from me for the constant lack of slices available in the store.

Stopped here for lunch this week and the food here is good. I didn’t try the regular slices but their buffalo chicken slice is huge. They also have Garlic Knot Chicken or Eggplant Sandwiches which I’ve never seen before so I tried the Chicken one. Very good and a great combo. They are located in a small strip mall with a few other businesses. There is a small parking lot. They probably have just under a dozen tables for eating in. They deliver as well as I saw their delivery guyy come and go with I was there.

The pizza seems a bit overrated to me. It was just«meh». Maybe it’s better when it’s fresh out of the oven, but I had it delivered. By the time it got here, it was soggy and lukewarm. The wings were breaded which I didn’t know beforehand. They were also soggy and the skin was rubbery and not crispy on the outside like wings should be. I guess I should have specifically asked them to make the wings crispy. The mozzarella sticks were good, but I guess it’s pretty hard to screw those up. On the plus side, the delivery guy seemed like a nice kid. He was very patient with me as I was trying to pay him, hold the screen door open, take the food, and keep my dog from running out of the door, all at the same time. In the past, I’ve ordered pasta dishes, salads, and sandwiches from this place and they were all really good. I guess it’s just hit or miss.

Very good. quality ingredients. Dough needs some work but overall very good pie. Had the white pie with spinach and garlic. Also had the buffalo chicken pie, pieces of chicken big and juicy sauce perfect level of hot. Tried the bacon pie, very salty. This is def my new pizza place.

Best pizza in town! After trying many places in the area I’ve finally found one that I love. Everything I have ever ordered there has been great. I recommend their buffalo chicken pizza, it is fantastic! And the slices ares large, all you need is one! I also love their macaroni salad, so delicious but not well advertised! Their bbq ranch chicken wrap is fantastic. Always a clean environment and has a very classy look, not like all those other cheesy looking pizzerias.

Finally made it out… and in my quest to find a pizza place that will satify this pescatarian foodies craving for buffallo shrimp pizza continues.:( Sadly was told they could not make a grilled shrimp buffalo pizza because it would be too expensive. $ 40. So we ordered a few slices. I had a thin sicilian and a spinach and artichoke slice. Sicilian was very tasty. The spinach was little greasy but good. Neither satisfied my craving though. Husband had bbq chicken slice. He said it was good. Tasted like the lays bbq chips. 3 slices and a diet coke was $ 12 and change. Leaving a little bummed but ehhh my search continues…

Our favorite pizza place! Delicious fresh food always. Lou the owner is there making sure everything is done right. Not just pizza fabulous dinners. One of our favorites is the chicken Francese, bbq chicken pizza and the Grandma pie. They make the best stuffed breads! Salerno’s also caters a great party. This is our neighborhood Gem.

Fantastic pizza at a good price. They toss their own dough and make their own sauce. The ingredients for the salads are super fresh. Once you get past the army of teenage girls manning the cash register you are in for a treat.
