It’s a Toys R Us. Minus a star for the aesthetics as it’s an older store in need of renovation. Other than that, they stock everything you need. The employees are nice. I dared to shop on Thanksgiving Night last year to grab a doorbuster and the lines weren’t bad an hour and a half after opening. Very organized. In fact they didn’t have what I was looking for on the floor and an employee was nice enough to go in the back and grab it for me.

I went in to buy a helicopter as a toy for my dog. I had the idea to tie a string with a bone to it then watch my dog chase it around the yard. So I went to this Toys R US and asked an employee where the rc heli’s were. The guy mumbled like a zombie. I couldn’t hear anything he said. I asked again, he mumbled again in this low, zombie like voice. I didn’t even bother asking a 3rd time and just walked away to find them on my own. As I’m checking out at line 10, I’m told«the lady at line 1 can check you out faster, I’m processing a large return». I see the light is on, walk to line 1 and NOONE is there. No «lady» anywhere. I’m a very patient person and think, «no big deal, I’ll wait patiently». After what must have been 10 minutes, I’m now fidgeting, walking in circles, on the brink of walking out… then some lady comes walking from the back of the store and says in a very low voice«check out?» I responded, «checkout? YES. I was told to come here 10 minutes ago cause it would be ‘faster’». But I made sure to say it in a sarcastic, light-hearted way. I wasn’t rude about it. This woman wasn’t rude either but she HATED her job. In fact, every employee I saw looked like they were borderline suicidal. The atmosphere was depressing and I’m not a psychologist, but it seemed to be rubbing off on the customers. I heard 2 different couples fighting /arguing in the store rather loudly as I was shopping. One couple shouting about the«$ 80 one is too expensive», another couple arguing about the size of a chair, etc. Overall, it felt like they were extremely understaffed with poor management.

While the staff are nice, the overall logistics of the store is poor. You never get the scooter/bike or any big piece you want, either not in stock or out of stock. They can not even help you order one online. It is really a wate of time.

Not much I can add to the previous reviews. All the charm of a laundrymat. Depressed looking people going through the motions.

I always thought that if you fill a giant room with toys it would be a happy place. This store proves that I was wrong. Yes they have many toys on the cheap, but the staff is distant and décor stark. This combination takes the joy out of buying toys.

Bathrooms never have enough toilet paper. There are never any paper towels to dry your hands after using the bathroom. I have been there on a few occasions that there was nothing. With it being a store for kids you think they would think of people’s hygiene better.

The smallest Toys R Us in all of Nj seems to be the last place to get any new product and is generally picked clean of any good figures by the wonderful scalpers of central NJ. The only way to combat them is to show up right when they open, as the employees here aren’t interested in helping you by opening boxes that arrive on truck days the night before they stock. I’ve gotten lucky by arriving at the opening of the store.
