A Wise Massage

Ashley is an absolute genius with her hands! This was the best massage I have had to date! The studio is in a prime location, right in downtown Healdsburg square. There was not one area on my body that went untouched or felt unloved. I was more than putty after the head massage at the end of my one hour full body. This is a true escape that is a must when in wine country or just a «thank you» to yourself after a long week!

My sister and I loved our massages with Ashley and Fraser of A Wise Massage. What a treat! We each had varying body issues that were cared for with specific attention and technique. Ninety minutes was a fabulous amount of time. We left feeling completely pampered.

Ashley absolutely stands out as a naturally intuitive healer. With a calm and caring approach, she seeks out areas that need the most work and uses just the right pressure to dissolve tension. I just had a massage by Ashley this week and cannot believe how much better I feel; a testament to her skillful practice. All my upper back and neck pain is gone and my mobility is so much better! I highly recommend her expert approach to massage therapy! It sweetens the deal that her studio is in the heart of Healdsburg, where your massage can be the perfect punctuation after a day at the farmers market, boutique shopping, or a wine country bike ride. Wow. My aunt and I went here for some much-​needed R&R. We’ve both had our fair share of massages, and this is without a doubt one of the best. Ashley is intuitive and really listens to both what we said and how our bodies responded to her touch. I’ve never felt that relaxed post-​massage. Seriously, I could barely stand. If you are in Healdsburg or even Sonoma, go see her! (And don’t make big night-​out-​on-​the-​town plans after.)

Ashley is wonderful. I have had six massages (maybe 7?) with her and I am never disappointed. In addition to her skill as a therapist, she is a warm and open personality. Don’t be scared away by the location of her studio — the space is clean and cozy and you will have no trouble relaxing and settling in.

Ashley definitely has a gift of touch!!! the best massage I have EVER had. she works with loooong sloooooow movements that coax muscles to respond. I think she must be an angel and her wings are hiding somewhere. she massages from her heart and you are transported away. It would be worth the drive from san jose just to get a massage from her!

I finally got another visit with Ashley! Every time I go back I feel like I’m visiting a lifelong friend. I adore her space and style, and am always impressed with how closely she listens to my needs. This time we did the full body scrub. This was amazingly rejuvenating. I walked out feeling like the last six months of stress were just washed away. She’s so engaging, I love talking to her and listening to her.
My husband has been having shoulder issues lately, so when he asked who to call, I immediately said, Ashley! He came out of that massage so happy. She astutely listened to his needs and delivered a very focused massage that exceeded his expectations. He’s been hard to nail down with a favorite therapist over the years, but he admitted his search is now over. My favorite gifts to give are gift certificates to A. Wise Massage because there’s no better gift than an opportunity to let go of the hustle and bustle of everyday life for a small fraction of time with Ashley’s magnificent skillz!

I’m always a little suspicious when a business on Unilocal has all 5-​star reviews, however the prices for services seemed reasonable so I booked two 90-​minute appointments for my wife and I on our recent getaway visit to Healdsburg. The location is in the center of town so even though we were having separate massages, there was plenty to do and see for the person not getting the massage at the time.
Ashley is amazing and my wife and I (who get massages often but never often enough) both felt it was one of the better all around massage experiences we’ve had. Ashley is a true professional and not only gave an amazing massage but also provided a very memorable experience. I can not recommend her enough and we are both looking forward to our next visit to Healdsburg and another encounter with A. Wise Massage. Thank you Ashley, we both loved our stay in Healdsburg but you provided the icing on the cake. BTW, your restaurant and winery suggestions were right on the mark and added to our over all Healdsburg experience.

Initially I was quite concerned as due to the lack of parking and the location. However once I came in I was completely Maniatis. The prior views are correct this is the most intuitive masseuse I have ever been with. Currently I’ve only seen her twice but each time I left feeling rejuvenated and relax I can’t say enough good things about this woman. I currently work on the computer and I’m on the computer with seems like all day and have developed some pretty serious neck and shoulder pain she is able in a single session to restore a great amount of shoulder mobility. She reassures that you can always tell her when something is too strong or too soft however I have any this she’s so intuitive she just knows kind of scary but kind of awesome at the same time

My wife and I were up for a getaway weekend and signed up for massages with Ashley. I have chronic shoulder tightness and she did wonders to relieve the discomfort with some really effective deep tissue technique. My wife was interested in a massage for relaxation and walked out feeling fantastic. Will return on our next trip to Healdsburg and highly recommend.

AMAZING… is.it.over.yet…no way? This gal is all the stars crack up to be. From the online booking and confirmation to the paypal payment (yay for technology), scheduling is easy-​peasy. I had a massage with the salt scrub. Best. Best. Best. Ever. Her amazing attention to what you need ‘today’ led to an hour of delight. I went in feeling a bit grumpy and tired and left feeling a whole new person. The oils and scents she uses are just right. not too much or overbearing. If only I didn’t live a coast away… le sigh… next time.

I’ve been to a lot of masseuses over the years. In fact, I was one for a quick minute. Needless to say, I have a love for the art of massage and a great massage therapist. With all of that being said, Ashley is, hands-​down, the best masseuse I have ever had the privilege of working with. She has the incredible ability to work on both the physical level to alleviate tight and sore muscles, and also on the energetic level, helping to balance and stabilize whatever may be off in your energy-​body. I have never found a masseuse who can transverse both realms as well as she. Her trained precision and obvious natural talents allowed me to trust and relax into the space so completely, which facilitated major healing on my part. Also, she gives great local deals, which will have me coming back more often. Thank you, Ashley… more than words can say.

Wonderful hidden gem! I’m not one to get a massage vert often, but I was having a crazy week and needed to relax and decompress. And I was able to do just that! Ashley was very attentive to my trouble areas and made sure I was comfortable and the pressure was great! She can really get in there when needed! Thank you Ashely, I will be back! And I cant wait!

When it comes to massages, I am super picky. I don’t want to feel like I am a piece of meat getting tenderized by hefty hands. I want to feel like my muscles are unknotting, that my body is relaxing, that my spine is aligning and I am letting go of all the tension and anxiety that I have stored in my shoulders and neck.

She seemed so tuned in to what I needed. Her space was comfortable and inviting, her aromatherapy was relaxing and not overpowering, she was super respectful of my comfort level. (I usually feel a little self-​conscious, but I didn’t feel that way at all with her.)
Ashley worked on many layers, from skin to muscle to energy.
I have had many massages over the years and Ashley ranks at the top. It was obvious that she valued my time there and that she sincerely cared for my comfort, health and well-​being.
OH! And she crafts her own products with high-​end essential oils that target specific properties like Revival, Clarity and Calm. Super impressed!

For almost 3 years I have searched for a great, local therapist. I have visited many in the area in that time. My search is over… Ashley is probably the best I have come across in my 20+ years of having massages on a monthly basis since an accident years ago. She is so intuitive, a rare find. She knows exactly what is hurting without my saying a word. She is professional, caring and calming. I can’t recommend her enough…
