Lunch by myself. Quick and delicious. I only tried one pizza, but it was great. I thought the beverage program was ambitious, with a smart local focus. Great wine by glass selections. Only two beer taps but both great local beers(Trumer Pils & Heroine). Awkward kitchen layout. Interesting house cocktails and Italian cordials. Cool place but needs to be rearranged. I will be back.

We’re strangers in the neat little town of Healdsburg and we’re looking for something light to eat. While driving, my wife saw a little restaurant on Healdsburg Ave. called Pizzando. It sounded good, so we decided to give it a try. It was Sunday night and the place was empty. We checked out the menu and decide on two appetizers and to split a pizza. The calamari was very good. My wife and I also split a Panzanella Salad that included shishito peppers like I grow in my garden. Fresh and delicious. We ordered a clam and artichoke pizza and it was amazing. I’d go so far to say it was the best pizza I’ve ever had. The crust was just the right thickness and had a delicious flavor. There was a good portion of clams and artichokes. There was a fresh herb that I’ve never heard of called Purslane that really added to the fresh taste. And to top it off, I had a couple of delicious glasses of MacMurray Pinot Noir. Have a craving for pizza or light eating? Don’t miss out on this place.

Came here on a long weekend where every eatery in this beautiful town had a long wait. Fortunately, we found this place. We ordered four different kinds of pizza and salads and appetizers for kids and everything tasted great. I recommend their pizza highly. The server was super nice.

Went here for a girls night. They were out of a few ingredients, which made their limited menu even more limited. We ordered a pizza with mushrooms &spinach. The pizza was covered in red pepper flakes, which made it unbearable to eat. We also ordered the pasta Bolognese, which was full of fatty pieces of meat. Our sever was friendly and helpful so thats why I gave it 2 stars. Disappointed. Not going back.

I really wanted a pepperoni pizza. Like, bad. Came here and ordered one, and it was a great example of what is wrong with this pizzeria. Too much, trying to hard. Instead of pepperoni and cheese(what I wanted), there were a few slices of said sausage, then loaded with hot peppers and other vegetables, and no cheese. The crust was awesome, but I left feeling cheated. Why try and reinvent perfection? If you just gave me pepperoni and cheese, you would have earned five stars.

Came here on a recommendation from a friend. It was around 6 on a slow Monday and we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time. We took two seats by the window and checked out the menu. The wine list is a bit light, and we could have done with a few more options like a cab by the glass. We wound up going with the local reds and we were pleased with them. We split a margherita with arugula and prosciutto and the pizza was definitely up there with some stuff we’ve had in Italy. The crust was great and the sauce was very unique and flavorful. I hope that they expand their pizza menu to include more items and combinations. That crust is just too good to keep it so limited.

I only did take out — but the pizza was delicious and highly recommended! Friendly staff! I ordered the pepperoni & burrata and it was perfect. Crust was thin and perfect crunch to it without it being too hard(and killing the inside of your mouth)! Burrata ratio on the pizza was spot on and sauce was too. TV in the corner — so if you need to catch the game, you could from table or at the bar. Hope to have time in the near future to sit down in and dine!

Great pizza and huge portions for apps. Loved the smoked salmon app and pep pizza. Very modest prices for the quality and portion size. Speedy too.

We really enjoy this place, and frequent it, which says«like» off the bat. On our last visit, we had a server who was just chatting with the cooks with his back turned to us «forever» while we were waiting to place an order. Finally the«host» noticed we were left alone too long and stepped in to become our server. Nice work! Just wanted send the message, assuming servers eventually read this: Back to clients? Generally a no-no.

Although the food was good the service as so incredibly bad it didn’t matter. We had a group of 5 who ordered an appetizer, two salads, and 4 individual size pizzas. Our salads came out first, about 15 minutes apart. About 10 minutes after the last salad came out our appetizer came out. About 10 minutes later the pizzas began being served. Each one was served 10– 15 minutes apart with the first pizza being brought out about 50 minutes before the last pizza being served. We ended up getting the last pizza to go. Being polite people we tried waiting for everyone’s food to come out before digging in but the first pizzas were getting stone cold before we even got to the third pizza. No apology, no coming to the table to say it would be out soon, nothing. Absolutely not ok. We will not be eating there again.

We stopped in and were really happy with our decision. The calamari was good, the spicy grilled Brussel sprouts were great and the pizza was awesome. We tried three different types and they were all good.

Great PIE + PINT weekend Happy Hour(FRI-SUN) 3−5pm Delicious brickoven pizza filled with flavored and a great Ale or IPA for $ 12. Friendly staff with great corner on the square in Healdsburg. All parking is on the Street(Free) unless you find a spot in the free lot.

The selection of pizzas is quite small, and honestly they’re pretty boring as well. I realize there are different pizza«classes» and that this is on the square and meant to be trendy and touristy, but it just lacked any flavor or creativity. On top of that, the prices were extremely high for how little food you actually receive. The wait staff was far from friendly — seemed more like they just wanted us all to leave, and that was despite being a family member to one in our group. Also, the place looks pretty cool from the outside, but it is quite dirty inside, especially if you look up. It’s quite clear that it has not been dusted even once.

Context: lunch for two on a Tuesday at 12:20 Atmosphere: like its sister property, spoon bar, pizzanda is open to the street with a kind of small warehouse feel. Kitchen is open as well Service: we were greeted by what seemed to be an owner. He was friendly and recommended that for two of us the lunch special of pizza and side for $ 20 would probably be enough. We were the only ones there at that point and were quickly seated, water and menus were delivered and service was fast and efficient. Food: we started with a huge overdressed gem salad with huge quantities of sopresetta and radish that was very tasty. The pizza is a 12 inch wood fired with thin but not super thin crust. It was lightly charred and not greasy at all. The topping we had was spinach, mushroom and red pepper. There were tons of mushrooms. They do not stint on ingredients. The pizza was chewy and flavorful. We really liked it.

I know this is intended to be more«upscale eatery» for the wealthy tourists, and not so much a «pizza joint,» but really… for a place that puts«pizza» in its name, it has an insanely limited and uninteresting selection of pizzas. It is extremely expensive, and the food that arrived was not worth the price of admission or the snobby service. Also, don’t look up, or you’ll be unable to eat at the thought of the filthy ceiling raining all that dust upon your food.

First let me say this review is specifically about how the staff handled food allergies, not the actual food. Don’t go here if you have a food allergy. I am allergic to nuts, and made that clear to our waiter at the get-go. Despite telling him multiple times that I had a very severe allergy we were still served a dish that contains nuts. When it was brought out I clarified for the 3rd or 4th time just to be extra cautious and was told it did indeed contain nuts. Had I not clarified I would have spent the night in the hospital. After that we were brought a wrong order, and who knows if there were any nuts on that order. We had to wait another 30 min(on top of the 40+ we had waited to get the first wrong order) to get the correct one. I will say the staff was very apologetic and the manager did offer compensation. The food that we did receive was good. However, if you are someone with allergies I would not consider this a safe place to go.

3.5 stars. This pizza place was in downtown Healdsburg and was pretty small. Parking was street parking which could be limited depending on the time of day. The six of us carpooled and parked probably half a block away. We came around 12:10pm on a Tuesday and it wasn’t busy. The weather was nice so the doors were open and the sun was shining into the restaurant. The menu was simple and a lot of the pizzas sounded good. The Tomato, Basil, Mozzarella($ 14) pizza was probably a safe choice as three ordered that at our table. I was feeling adventurous and ordered the Roasted Beef, Spicy Tomato Sauce, Potatoes, Scallions($ 16) pizza. They did have appetizers, pasta, and two meat items(steak or chicken). The kitchen was right next to our table and they had a stone oven(at least it looked like that from what I saw inside of the oven). The pizzas took a while before they came to our table. My pizza came out last probably because of the roasted beef on it. The potatoes were good but the roasted beef was not what I was expecting. It wasn’t bad though but just wasn’t what I was expecting. I finished the whole pizza and was the last one to finish since I didn’t get my pizza until almost everybody was halfway through their food. The pizza was okay here and wouldn’t mind coming back.

We really should’ve trusted the Unilocal reviews, but we were craving pizza and couldn’t find a «pizza place» so we decided to give them a try. Is it that easy to mess up pizza? Apparently, it is! We ordered the Pizza of Burrata, Arugula and Roasted Lemon Marmalade and it was probably one of the most boring tasting pizza I’ve ever had. I love burrata and I love arugla but the pizza basically tasted like those just those two ingredients on a terrible crust with no flavors. The crust was terrible and slightly burnt. The arugula, there was too much of it and was extremely bitter and made it difficult to finish the pizza. The burrata was probably the only part of the pizza I liked but overall, the combo of ingredients, or lack ingredients, did not work. We were seated in a tiny corner and there were flies that kept buzzing around us. We totally wish we didn’t waste our dinner at this place because there are so many better restaurants in the area. I guess you live and you learn!

What in the world is wrong with my palate? I disliked everything I ordered, though I am completely open to new flavors and tastes! I was so happy to find another local, wood-fired pizza place and combine that with a Groupon, I was in heaven. Location is fantastic for touristy Healdsburg and was a great starting place for a day of shopping on the square. Two of us shared entrees and both left me questioning if Pizzando will be on my repeat list. 1. Pizza of Burrata, Arugula and Roasted Lemon Marmalade — It sure looked good but as a whole, it was inedible to me and my friend. Mind you, I love love love arugula — in sandwiches, on pizza, wherever. I tasted each component separately to figure it out if the lemon or the arugula was ruining the taste but couldn’t. It was just blech. Crust *was* very good and burrata was so creamy so I ate those two things together to salvage this pizza. 2. The special of the day was fried gnocchi with swiss chard, snap peas, fava bean tips and Carmody cheese fondue. It was just a weird, mushy, flavorless odd combo. I did learn than I like roasted snap peas so that’s the upside. Our server definitely wanted us to be happy but I can’t return something just because I don’t like it. If it’s made wrong or not what I requested, that’s one thing. (FWIW, my fav pizza place is wood-fired, with arugula so I’m comparing apples to apples.)
