Went for a tasting, and was wowed by the wines. The service was very friendly and helpful. Terrific views, and the differences between the chardonnays(difference only by elevation) was jaw-dropping. Christopher’s cabernet — the best I’ve tasted so far.

I live in the area and have had the pleasure of enjoying the Mountaintop Picnic Experience twice. The host is exceptional just like the vista views and the wines. She serves you a boxed picnic lunch from Oakville Grocery at the top of the mountain, where you sit at a picnic table and taste through the wines. The Sauvignon Blanc and the Cab were our favorites. This experience is available weekdays by appointment and is private. You’ll love it.

WOW. the day after the Vinemean 70.3 we found the perfect healing experience. Four of us took the Mountain Excursion with Karen as our guide. She is very knowledgeable of not only this property but of wines and the region. A wonderful lunch with amazing wines on the top of the mountain. Highly recommend the experience.

We stopped here based on a few recommendations and we were not disappointed. Tasting outside while enjoying the spectacular view was perfection. Our host, Sherry, was lovely and patient. The wines were amazing.

Worth every bit of these 5 stars! Driving by we came across this beautiful winery. Came in and were welcomed right away by Callum. Came without an appointment and sat outside in the beautiful garden in front facing the mountains. Our 18 month old loved the garden. This winery is also dog friendly. Left very pleased with a great impression!

Absolutely beautiful views, if you go here for nothing else! Lovely outdoor terrace where you can sip your wine. Staff was knowledgeable and friendly. Wines were lovely but disappointing that the majority of the tasting options were in the high end price range. I was here in 2012 Still a nice experience.

The Mountain Excursion was an experience I will never forget. It was a 3.5 hour tour of the mountain and vineyards with Karen whose knowledge of the vineyards was amazing. Add to that some truly fantastic wines and a delicious picnic lunch overlooking the scenic valley and it was $ 75 very well spent. If you do just one experience in wine country this should be it.

I ended up joining the club only because we were going to be charged $ 12 per person for a tasting, but if I joined, we would get all the tastings for free after I purchased two bottles for about the same price. This is standard in the neighborhood, but I was not all that impressed with this place. The wine I purchased I enjoyed, but it didnt change my life. The staff was knowledgable, but all he talked about was how great their winery was and how the grapes came from the hills and not the valley. I dont need to feel like a snob every time I walk into a «fancy» winery/vineyard. I am a member for the time being and I think the Cab was very good. Im just a bit torn because I felt like the prestigiousness was over-played and it surely wasnt why we were there.

Accidently walked into their tasting room in downtown Healdsburg and I’m so glad we did. The manager was super nice. We were the only ones in there and we really enjoyed talking with him and he did a great job of explaining the wines. Every single wine was delicious. I don’t think there was one we didn’t love from the Chardonnay to the drier reds. Unfortunately, the price reflects the quality and stopped us from bring home one of each.

The Stonestreet 2011 Upper Barn chardonnay is the perfect chardonnay. The tasting room staff is fun and knowledgeable. This is a great place to visit and taste.

Our fifth stop for Barrel Tasting. Gorgeous views of the mountains. Wines were good but nothing memorable. Most of the staff was very friendly, except the barrel pourer, who was a bit neglectful. He was so busy showing people pictures of his dogs that me husband stood there for about five minutes without acknowledgment! The people were even looking at my husband to motion to the guy he should pour, but he didn’t catch on. My husband finally walked away and we left. We won’t be back.

Best Cab. They use«mountain vines» which makes a HUGE difference. Can sit and enjoy side-by-side tasting on front lawn while taking in the magnificent views. Must do again!

A must visit winery!!! We visited Stonestreet Winery this past Tuesday with some friends and had the time of our lives. The Gal working the tasting room(I think her name was Karen) was very knowledgeable about the wines and the areas they are grown. She had mentioned she had been living in the valley since 1964, it was obvious she knew the area very well. She was a fantastic hostess setting us up outside to taste their wines. The view was awesome.5 stars to the winery and 5 to her as well!!! Get time with awesome memories made!

Amazing day for wine tasting. We made it a little earlier than the opening time but the staff welcomed us in with no problem. After Jimmie gave us an amazing history and overview of the Jackson Family property, history and vision(very educational) we were able to have seating outside on a perfect day! The staff descended on our table with glassware and gave us a very unhurried tasting answering all of out questions and making sure that we had plenty of water which was a nice touch. A little production was going on, so after the tasting Jimmie was able to sneak us for a peak behind the magic curtain to see where the wizard wine maker did his magic. Wines were excellent with differences that were discernible given the explanation and location of the vineyards.

Wow! The grounds are beautiful and the wine is really good. We got a tasting by Scott and he was so wonderful. He encouraged us to sit out at the tables overlooking the wine valley and he brought glasses out to us!!! It was amazing. He was generous and thoughtful and we were so impressed with his hospitality! Thanks Scott!

How to get good wine: Go to Stonestreet. Ask for Jimmie. Drink drink drink! Their Cabernet Sauvignons are definitely some of the best in Sonoma County. Karen is also a very friendly and knowledgable tasting room attendant. Boyfriend and I had a very pleasant time and would visit again. Probably next week!

What a delightful hidden gem worth the short jaunt off the main road. The jovial Scott gave us an extended pour of some wonderful if overpriced wines. but the out door tasting was a treat and the much lower traffic spend some real personal attention.

We visited this winery at the recommendation of a Sonoma Valley local. The view from the winery is beautiful… but that is about all we liked. The service was less than informative(youngish, robot-like employees who don’t seem to know a lot about wine), and the wines were nothing notable. There are so many other wineries in Sonoma to visit… no need to waste your time visiting this one.

2006 Chardonnay Alexander Mountain Estate I just don’t prefer Chardonnay. Give me a good Sauvignon Blanc, Albarino, Viognier or White Burgandy from France first. Not to mention that California is so up and down on the Oak and Butter scale that you never know what you are gonna get. The Stonestreet Chardonnay wasn’t a big disappointment. Robert Parker gave it 92 points. The wine was a bit to heavy on the mineral structure for my liking. Price is on the high side at between $ 28.00 to $ 30.00 per bottle. They make several wines here at Stonestreet. I will have hope that I get another chance to taste them. Cheers!

We sort of wandered in here around 4:00 on our way back to Healdsburg. We walked in and they were cleaning up from some sort of function. When the woman pouring noticed us she was friendly, but seemed really rushed. She didn’t really talk much at all, so I left there not knowing the history of the vineyard, wines, etc– which is rare to me in sonoma. it may have just been that it was the end of the day. Tasting was pricey too– $ 15 for 3 reds and up from there. None of the wines were amazing.
