This little place has that out-of-the way feel and the staff is always friendly. The food is amazing and you can’t go wrong with the spicy dishes. I’ve yet to be disappointed with any of their dishes. Lunch menu is excellent as well.

So to start out, my girlfriend and myself both love Thai food. We were excited when we received a coupon to somewhere new. When we arrived, there were 3 men working and only one other couple that was finished with theirs. After sitting down at the table and seeing rice on the bench seat next to where my girlfriend sat down and then feeling that smelly sticky unclean table we were seated at, we should have walked out right then… should have. Instead we ordered our drinks…, and I thought I would order one of the many choices of beer that was on display… NOPE! I did not even get the words out of my mouth before he cut me off to tell me that they did not renew their liquor license, so I was forced to order an ice tea on my weekend dinner out. So why keep the huge display of alcohol out? Finally it’s time to order… the waiter comes to the table takes my girlfriends order, then asks about an appetizer, she orders one, then he says great and walks away… yeah I didn’t need to order anything, I normally take a woman out to dinner and just watch her eat! My girlfriend calls him on his stupidity and he returns to take my order. In what I will give them… a timely manner we got the appetizer which portions seemed small but were ok. Then HER food shows up with a bowl and a small plate with rice. No large plate to mix the food with. Nearly 5 minutes later my meal showed up! The fiasco with the coupon was a huge mess… they couldn’t figure out how to put it in the computer and tried to charge us the full price. We will not be returning here for so much as a glass of tea.

Never disappointed. From the service to the food its all great. I love this restaurant. Its not fancy nor does it try to be. The servers there are nice and they know what they are doing.

The food is decent. That being said, the service is not. The waitstaff was slow and inattentive. On top of it all, they charged an 18% gratuity(party of three!), which is completely unethical. I usually tip very well. I even tip for sub-par service, as long as they are not completely rude. The sub-par waitress would have gotten more than she charged me automatically for gratuity. However, I refuse to give any more than that after this abhorrent experience. I will not be returning. It doesn’t even matter how good the food is, stealing money from people is disgusting.

First time and was happy to find a new place for Thai! Portions were good and prices were reasonable. The Yellow Curry and Pad Thai were very good. If you haven’t been yet… look for the little things like the flower on the plate as a garnish or the top of the straw!

Let me first acknowledge that I’ve had exactly TWO things on the menu here. The Pad Thai and the Panang Curry. The Pad Thai is mediocre at best. Not very flavorful, but it’s okay. Barely okay. But the Panang Curry… whew boy. I go there just for this and it is the best Panang Curry I have had over several Thai places in San Antonio and Austin. Seriously… if for nothing else, go there for the Panang Curry. Bubble tea?!? BUBBLETEA??? If you’re going to a Thai place, go there for food, not drink. Can’t you get bubble tea at the mall or something? Their regular menu is not overpriced at all. Try going to another Thai place and tell me their Panang Curry isn’t around $ 10. And for that $ 10, you get enough Panang Curry to feed two people(although I greedily eat it all myself, or save the rest for later). I do not know how their service is, as I’ve only eaten inside once. I always get mine to go. No one is ever rude when I pick up my food though, as we might speak two words to each other each time. The place is a decent location and, even though there’s only four parking spots directly in front, at least one is always free(it seems). It also seems clean enough, and has a nice low light level inside. I wouldn’t say it is kid friendly though, as I’ve rarely seen kids in there, and there aren’t chicken nuggets on the menu or mac and cheese. So, do yourself a favor. Call them and order the Panang Curry with chicken. Do this around 7 o’clock in the PM. Don’t do this on Christmas Eve or New Year’s Eve. Don’t do this five minutes before they’re closing either. Be respectful and do it at a normal dinner time and you will love the Panang Curry with chicken. Go with a spice level 2 if you want some spice.

Worst place to eat in. Please don’t waste your money and go somewhere else, please. Their bubble teas are probably the worse of the worse and their food is… well lets just say NOTSOGOODANDSTALE.

Pretty solid panang curry! Laid back place and accommodating staff. Good place to relax and enjoy a Chang beer. We also had the Pad Thai and it was good, just not as good as the Panang Curry.

Went here for the first time today, I’m trying new foods and don’t know too much about Thai food so decided to stop by this place which is just right up the road. Very, very pleased all the way around. The ambiance is subdued and relaxed and well kept, our service was efficient and friendly and the food came out quickly. Their lunch specials are 7.95 and that comes with an appetizer and soup. I had the drunken noodles(spice level 3) and my lady had the crystal noodles(spice level 4). Portions were quite generous and the food was fresh and tasty. Nice to find this place, I’ll be coming back here for sure soon!

Don’t waste your time here. I came on a Saturday night for dinner and had poor service and cold food. The waiter was rude and hurried us out at 8pm. I will not be eating here again.

First off, on the Sunday before new years(Dec 30th) they would not honor their advertised lunch special prices. We called in the order to go and were told because it was a holiday we had to pay full price. It was not a holiday! If you take your lunch order to-go, you are not entitled to the iced tea or soup that is supposed to come with your order. I don’t think they really care about their customers so much as they care about making a buck. Their regular menu is WAY overpriced. As far as the food goes, I think the chicken they use is just boiled in a big pot then thrown on top of whatever dish it is called for. Bland and disgusting. I wish they would cut their dry-fried tofu a little smaller and actually marinate it before putting it in the dishes. Again with the bland. Thai food is supposed to spicy and flavorful, not tasteless and gag inducing. We have been here a few times but today was the last straw. Do not bother.

It’s place used to be great, lately they aren’t as good. They’ve lost their consistency. I can’t say I wouldn’t go there once in a while anywa

My husband and I have recently moved to the NW side of San Antonio and our regular thai food place is a bit far to drive to now. Well i found this restaurant today and we decided to give it a try. And we love it!!! We did not dine in, opted for delivery, so i can not write about the wait staff experience but as far as the food is concerned — it was superb! I had panang curry with chicken, spice level 4, and my hubby had pad thai with a level 3 for spice. For appetizers we ordered both the spring rolls and egg rolls. The appetizers were so delish! The egg rolls were deep fried perfection with their glass noodles, cabbage and carrots in their homemade wrap — plus the dipping sauce makes a sweet topper! The spring roll’s ingredients were a pleasantly wrapped suprise with avacado, cream cheese, bean sprouts, and cucumber mixed with a hearty cluster of shredded carrots. My panang curry was rich with flavors from the curry coconut milk and peanut sauce! The chicken was not so overdone to be chewy, but not undercooked to cause a concern. It would tear easily enough with a fork and went down great with the curry soaked steamed rice! I did choose a level 4 on spice and it WAS spicey but i can handle a little more fire so i would probably opt for a 5, maybe 6, next time around. As for the pad thai, the chicken was very moist and tender also. The noodles were spot on, not undercooked to be rubbery, and the vegetables were garden quality crisp! The bean sprouts were also perfect and not wilted like we have seen before. Peppery soy goodness with tamarind mixed with a dash of fresh squeezed lime makes this a mini-thai party in your mouth! The level 3 spice was apparent but not overpowering and hubby was able to tolerate it well as a person who prefers LESS spicey. So overall we are stoked to find a new fav thai restaurant so close to our new home! We will definitely be dining here again soon and i expect we wont be dissapointed!

Thai Corner consistently produces good food. This is the second of three locations, the others being in the Medical Center and Stone Oak. The spiciness level I asked for seemed to match what I got. While other places have trouble staying open in this shopping center, I don’t expect Thai Corner to have the same difficulty.

Thai me up and throw away the key~ We are regulars here. It is amazing. The staff if very friendly and they make me and my family feel like we are going to a friends house for dinner instead of a restaurant. The Pad Thai is spot on! The spicy basil is a smash hit and so is the Panang… This place is legit.

I hate to admit it, but this may be the most flavorful and delicious pa nang I have eaten in San Antonio, and I have tried nearly every Thai restaurant around. The spring rolls and fried rice are delicious, too. The only reason I omitted one star is that my friend and I split a check and they automatically assigned an 18% gratuity to both checks. Now, I typically pay 20% if the service was excellent to very good, 18% for good, and 15% even if they drop the food in my lap. They certainly deserved a 20% tip, but the questionable business practices in this instance did not earn my love. Perhaps it is a result of poor tippers in San Antonio.

Yup. I love this place. I’ve been to both locations and if I had my heart set on Thai Corner I wouldn’t think twice about driving from the Medical Center clear down to the location on Bandera and 1604. Why? Three reasons: service, service, and service. And the food seems to taste a bit fresher here, too. The gentleman that is always at this location when I visit isn’t exactly your typical, outgoing, people person. But darn it he knows how to get things done! Your drink won’t go empty, your food will be out promptly, and at the end of it all if you’re not satisfied you did something wrong. He’s darn near flawless in his approach to his job. The food is great. It tastes good, it’s cooked to order(as it should always be) and it’s spiced just the way you ask for it. My favorite time to visit Thai Corner is lunch because they have a spectacular lunch value. You get a low price for your entrée, soup, and an appetizer(side item), plus a bottomless glass of iced tea. I’d tell you what I ordered, but I’m sure you already know I had the chicken pad thai(delicious). I did try the dumplings, egg rolls, and spring rolls this time. The verdict? It’s all good.

The food was damn good and blew me away. I am so glad I have a new place to go for decent thai food. I will certainly be going over and over again. Plus Cupcake Couture is next door and is absolutely delicious. Makes for a really fun date and a great evening in general.
