John Mario’s Barber Salon

Nice clean cut for my interview the next day, but I didn’t know I needed an appoint like I was «getting my hair and nails did.»

Bill did a great job. This place takes appointments so you can avoid long waits. Very professional guys who seemed to have regulars they called by name.

I lucked out by walking into this place one day. I had a great barber that ended up moving to California. I tried a different barber every 1 – 2 months for about a year, and they always managed to miss something on my haircut. I have had Bill cut my hair here for the past 6 months and it’s been awesome. The attention to detail is great and I never feel rushed out of his chair. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a good barber.

This guy is legit. Cut my son (age 3) and my hair. Did a great job. Shop is also a nice space. It was $ 20 a piece. Totally expect $ 20 for me, thought it was a little pricey for my son though.

I Hate going to the barber because 1.) I don’t like to wait 2.) I’m a hairdresser, but obviously can’t cut my own hair, so I know what I want and no one ever gives it to me. 3.) I’m impatient! I have blonde hair so while I like a fade, it’s really not worth it for me to sit in the chair for 45 minutes to an hour (that has actually happened) while you hook up a tight fade that while awesome, doesn’t look that great on my light hair. And the other places I’ve tried didn’t take appointments! So I have spent 4+ hours at several barber shops. This place is my new favorite! I made an appointment (you’ll want to do that unless you are patient because there’s only two of them and they book up) I walk in, tell him a long list of things I want (length, low taper, weight line here, skinny sideburn, part here etc) he doesn’t even flinch, goes right in and starts cutting, 15 minutes later I am out the door with the best haircut I’ve ever had!!! I told him he’s amazing and so fast and he said «I’ve been doing hair for (15 or 20 can’t remember) years. When you know what you’re doing, there’s no need to hesitate» I love that! And they do know what they’re doing here, I highly recommend!

Went in for a haircut. Nice place. Multiple barber chairs. 1 barber. He seemed irritate that I showed up at 2pm on a Monday. Told me I MUST have an appointment to be seen, which wouldn’t be for several hours. I won’t be visiting that place again.

Been here 9 – 10 times over the last few years the last 4 times have been on somewhat of a schedule (every 4 – 5 weeks). The only reason i have not been coming here more often is because I moved to the other side of town. Because of my work I can’t book any appointments out more than a few days and they have always gotten me in within 30 minutes of me just showing up. I have always gotten a great hair cut and great customer service, I am pretty reserved but they pull me out of my shell and have me talking for the full cut and shave/​trim.
Gentlemen out there if you have never had a strait razor shave have one done. It is so relaxing and your face is so smooth for days afterword. I don’t do many reviews in fact this is my first so hopefully that shows how strongly I feel about the people here.

I went in to John Mario’s a bit skeptical — you never know what you’re going to get with any given hair salon. This was the first time I’d had my hair cut in Vegas, so I went completely off of online reviews (like this one).
I requested a fairly challenging hair cut from my barber, Bill. I pulled up a photo of the style I liked on my phone and showed it to him. After studying it and talking it through with me, Bill went straight to work. Watching him work with the clippers was absolutely mesmerizing — you can tell the guy is a pro. I watched in awe as he shaped my raggedy mop into a style nearly identical to the photo I had showed him just 20 minutes earlier. The end result FAR exceeded my expectations!
Needless to say, I highly recommend John Mario’s — especially Bill. He’s as talented with a pair of scissors and clippers as I’ve seen, and he can absolutely create the exact look you want.

John Mario knows what he’s doing. This is a classic barber shop with high quality work. John was able to fit me in the day after I called and gave me an excellent haircut. For twenty dollars it’s a great deal for a darn good haircut. As long as I live in Henderson I’ll be going to John Mario.

I’ve been to many of Henderson’s barbers and I’ve always been disappointed with my haircuts. It really comes down to attention to detail… My past stylists will do a good job on the right side of my head but neglect the left side or I’ll find areas on my scalp with uneven lengths. More times than not I’ve found myself cutting my own hair at home after an incomplete cut.
Barber Bill is different. Bill took his time with my cut and cross-​checked at every chance he could get! He used his comb to measure the exact length I wanted cut from the top. I was impressed. He even styled my hair such that I didn’t have to rinse it out when I got home! My haircut is perfect!
I finally found my Henderson barber. Thank you, Bill!

It is definitely hard to find a new barber, who won’t screw up. John Mario’s is the only place I go anymore. The barbers are excellent and can definitely prove their skills. Make an appointment with John and be satisfied with your haircut; $ 20.

$ 20 is a fair price when you are talking about guys that went to legit barbering school, rather than fucking Euphoria or something.
These guys know what they are doing, and do it for a fair price. They even stayed open for me late when I showed up 5 minutes to close.

This is not a bad location/​shop and guys were nice enough but $ 20.00 for a haircut before tip is more expensive than any other barber I have been to in the valley. I get my hair cut every two weeks and have been to probably a dozen other shops. The going price is 14 to 17 dollars for the same service all over town. So, this is a one and done for me. If you want to spend more money for a true salon experience go to American Male or Elliott & Co.
