This chicken is as good as it gets. We read several good reviews and had to give it a try, and boy are we glad we did. The mild is just a little hot, but not too hot. Each order is cooked to order, and is the best chicken in the Nashville area. Our new go-to chicken restaurant.

Best hot fried chicken I have had. The kids loved the tenders and the shrimp. Everybody was super friendly and the chef explained us why this place is special.

Delicious! The medium spice was plenty spicy for me and I like spice. Would definitely go back if in Nashville area. Owner was very nice. It’s not fancy but the fried chicken breast was awesome!

The best hot chicken anywhere. I drive up from Nashville to Hendersonville at least once a week; and I hate Hendersonville. THEBEST.

Call in your order ;-) for the best hot chicken around. Great flavor, good portions… Plan on getting it for take out as it isn’t exactly a place to sit and eat. Remember call ahead to place your order.

1.) you have 2 tables. 2.) I move a chair from another table(that was occupied by 2 people) and you had the audacity to tell me I couldn’t move the chair to accommodate 3 people. 3.) you had a bad attitude — all of that to say, I’m a hot chicken enthusiast and I will not be back, you have a foul attitude towards customers. — The customer is always right! — I have a hot chicken Blog that gets 10,000+ hits a week and I will be doing a write up tonight about your bad business Instead I went right down the way to Jumbo & Delicious had great customer service and the food was GREAT! You missed out on $ 60+ — and they gained it.

Amazing! Best chicken I’ve ever had! I’m addicted! The owner may be a little abrupt but that is because he is working his butt off to bring you outstanding chicken.

Phenomenal hot chicken North of Nashville. I’ve been a Bolton’s guy for a long time and Moore’s is on par with any«hot chicken» joint in Nashville

Nashville hot chicken is one of my favorite foods. If a restaurant has it on the menu, I try it. Hattie B’s has been my favorite for a long time. Moore’s is BETTER than Hattie B’s. It’s better than Prince’s(yes, I know that’s a sin to say). Not only is the chicken crispier and tastier, their sides are the best in the game. The cornbread is so great. The price is better than other similar places, and the people are nice. They won’t go out of their way to talk to you, but if you talk to them, they’re as friendly as can be. Beware. I’d compare their«Hot» to Hattie B’s «Damn Hot.»

Absolutely OUTSTANDING food!!! My overall rating would’ve been 5 stars had the customer service been on point. The chicken is flavorful and cooked to perfection. The homemade sides are super tasty! I’ll eat there again, I just won’t be dining in!

Outstanding food, and a genuine option for top-notch Nashville Hot Chicken & soul food for the Hendersonville area. Be advised that ‘hot’ at Moore’s is comparable to most places’ ‘extra hot’ or whatever the hottest level advertised. Extremely spicy, but incredibly tasty. Sides are delicious, especially the baked beans. Really great little ‘mom & pop’ joint and everything is cooked to order. Only prevention from a 5-star rating is the lady at the service counter seems miserable… just not friendly at all and lives up to the reputation established here on Unilocal so far. Zero complaints about the food, though. Superb

4 stars for the food. Good flavor and decent portions. Very fresh. 2 stars for the service. Lady who took our order acted like she could care less we were even there. Only two 4 top tables and one 2 top table, so not much room if you’re going to dine in. They’ll save a table for your group if you call your order in ahead and want to dine in … which is pretty cool. I’m not sure I’d go back. For the price Hattie B’s is far superior.

Never usually crave hot chicken but once I had Moore’s hot chicken I can’t stop thinking about it. People here complain about the owner being being an asshole but he was nice to me and made sure everything was great.

I ordered some fish and chicken from here and the person behind the counter was extremely rude because I asked him what does he recommend. If it weren’t for my husband craving fried chicken, I would’ve cursed him out and walked out. When I got home, the fish was dry and I didn’t taste the flavor so many were raving about with the chicken. Could’ve been my batch or could’ve been the nasty taste the man left in my head, which messed with my taste buds.

I would have ate here, but the owner acted like a total douche. If your customer service isn’t there, then your food is irrelevant. Go to Jumbo and Delicious a couple doors down.

Food here is amazing. Went back twice and then the owner just became the biggest @$$hole I’ve ever seen. Mother went in to order a week ago and the owner literally started yelling at her and bless her she still got the order for us. Told her to call it in next time. So tonight I call it in and said I needed 2 meals. After the first order I started saying the second and the man starts yelling at me over the phone. Hung up on him after that. You literally couldn’t pay me to give you business if you will disrespect my family and I. Don’t give this man your business unless you’re willing to be verbally abused once he doesn’t understand you once.

Ok, so let’s just be honest… this place is the best there is in Sumner County! The hot chicken is as good as Prince’s but with a tenth of the wait time! The hot fish is delicious, and the BBQ(served only on the weekends) is just fabulous… and on top of all that they take plastic… Hallelujah!

Great hot chicken! I am not one of these people that likes ‘atomic’ hot food. When I get hot chicken, I get mild. As a mild hot chicken aficionado, I love this place. Reminds me of going to Prince’s Fried Chicken — but I feel completely safe here. This is a small restaurant in an old plaza with only a few tables. I believe it is run by the owner and his wife. They are both very friendly. This is not a ‘trendy’ place ‘doing’ hot chicken because it is the popular cuisine at the moment. To me, it is the epitome of what a Hot Chicken place should be — and I mean that in a very positive manner! Notes: if someone in your group doesn’t like hot chicken, they can get original or plain. It’s not on the menu, but just tell them. If you want hot chicken for a large group, get it to go.

The chicken here really surprised me(in a good way). My wife & I were a little skeptical, since the location is kind of a hole in the wall in a strip business section. We decided to finally try this place after reading all the good reviews & being tired of everything else in H’ville. When we walked in, we could immediately see the kitchen where the owner was prepping and frying the chicken. It was cool to see the food being made, that it appeared to be a homemade recipe, and that it was being made fresh. I had the breast quarter(medium heat), and my wife had the tenders. This was the first hot chicken I’ve had, but I’ve had numerous fried chicken before. Let me tell you, the batter & flavor is awesome. It’s a light & crispy batter with great flavor, and it’s not greasy at all. The chicken was juicy all the way through, too. The heat wasn’t overbearing, but it had a nice kick, which is just how I like it. The tenders had the same light, crispy batter, too. Many times a restaurant will have a good tasting main dish, but the sides leave something to be desired. Well, that wasn’t the case here. I had the baked beans and mac & cheese. Both were great. There was something special about the mac & cheese that we couldn’t pinpoint. A certain cheese or cream or something. It was really good. I had the cornbread with my meal. At first, it looked like a kind of dry pancake, but it was actually good. My wife got the regular bread with her meal, which is the only«negative» we could say. She wished it was toasted with butter. The owner and his nephew(?) that were working were both friendly. The other people that were eating there were«regulars» and raved about the food, too. We can’t believe we hadn’t been here before. We’ll definitely be back! TIPS: — There’s a $ 0.50 charge if you use a debit/credit card. I believe it’s the same price for drink refills. — Parking & seating is limited. There are only 3 – 4 tables inside, as it’s a small location. — Everything is made to order. It can be up to 20 mins for the chicken. You can call your order in so you don’t have to wait if you don’t want.

My brother decided to stop by here on Saturday for some lunch. I hadn’t had some hot chicken in a while, and figured I would check this place out before I move to Smyrna. This place is tiny(meaning like 3 tables inside, 1 table outside) and is located in a strip mall, so it’s hard to spot. We almost drove past it and then noticed the sign at the very last second. One of the guys working noticed we probably hadn’t been there before, and was kind enough to explain what they’re about and how things work. All of the chicken is made to order, and they do have some BBQ stuff that is pre-made, so no waiting on that. But why would you come to a chicken place and not get the chicken? Luckily there was a table open when we got there, and then we waited about 15 minutes before our food was ready. My brother and I both opted for the chicken tender basket in the mild. Their spice levels are: mild, medium, hot, 1x, 2x, and 3x. The spice on this chicken was definitely a slow burn. I can’t take much heat, and the mild was just enough for me. But it still cleared my sinuses out pretty good. I got a side of mac and cheese, and it had a different kind of taste to it. Had some more spices on it than I’m normally used to, which was nice. And the cornbread cake they have with the chicken is really tasty. They also make homemade fruit sweet tea, which was excellent. You can even buy a gallon of it for $ 5, which isn’t bad. Overally, I think I liked Hattie B’s just a touch more, but this place is legit. Especially if you live in the Goodlettsville/Hendersonville area and don’t want to drive all the way downtown for some hot chicken. If I’m in the area again, I would definitely come back!
