Surprised by the lack customers because my food was delicious and reasonably priced. Highly recommend for a family meal.

The food was fantastic and not overly priced. The atmosphere was great and relaxing and they embraced our kids. We will definitely return. Great little place in the west end.

This is a «family friendly place» meaning toddlers can scream at the top of their lungs which is what happened when my partner and I ate here last night. The parents laughed and took pictures while their kids created mayhem. The food however is outstanding and deserves 5 stars. I had the goat cheese empanada and my partner had the vegetable frittata. Both were made to perfection with the cheese set at the right temperature. Not overly oozy. I won’t be back to dine in this restaurant. Carry out only with this place. If the owner is going to allow these types of diners to ruin the eating out experience for everyone else in the restaurant, then I will go elsewhere. Unless you are prepared for a side order of indigestion, I suggest you do the same.

KILLERBRUNCH! Eggs Benedict, Blackstone tons of crab. Bloody Mary, no skimping on the liquor. Reasonably priced too!

This was our first time here and it was amazing! We came for Sunday brunch and holy smokes, so delicious! We’ll definitely be back. Best food since we where in NOLA. It’s in a shopping center but don’t let that deter you or you’re missing out.

I had found this place on Unilocal a couple of weeks ago when I was trying to find a place to get breakfast. I didn’t end up going that day but I saved it to a list of places I definitely wanted to go to in the future. That future day was yesterday finally and it was SO great! It’s located in a small shopping center, tucked in the back left corner between two stores. You can easily pass over the signage and not see it, so pro tip: it’s between the martial arts and dance place– just a couple storefronts down from Papa John’s. My friends and I went on a weekday around dinner and I think there might have been one or two other people there. We were seated immediately, served rolls and asked for our drink orders. The waiter was great! He was super kind and jovial. After a while we wondered if he was Ray so we asked and sure enough! It doesn’t happen very often that you get to meet the owner of a place you eat so we were pretty stoked. We pondered the menu for some time– it’s diverse with a little bit of something for everyone. When we made up our minds and ordered our food it took about the normal amount of time to prepare and come out. I had Empanadas and they were pretty good! I don’t think I’ve ever had them before so I don’t know how to compare but my friend got grilled cheese and the other a burger and they said they were delicious. We pondered getting dessert because they have cannoli but we decided to go to Ray Other OTHER place, Ray’s Italian Ice and Custard(owned by the same Ray in the same shopping center). I know I will definitely be coming back for their breakfast for dinner and a cannoli soon!

The food is great. You can tell that the people who run it(Ray and whoever works for him) really care about the food. Went with my girlfriend — we had the empanadas, delicious and perfectly prepared. I also had the Philly Cheese steak and it was exceptional, homemade bread, you could tell the steak was fresh. The menu is pretty diverse, there’s salads, entrees, a variety of sandwiches. Whatever you get you can count on it being well prepared. We will make it a go-to night out. Will try the brunch.

Great food, AWESOME Happy Hour! Best cheesesteak in the west end. A hidden gem & love that you can order take-out too. Super kid & family friendly!

Rays other place has a great menu with lots of good options. Their food is well prepared and reasonably priced. The atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. It is definitely worth the trip. I would say that it one of Short Pump’s best alternatives to the crowded mainstream chain restaurants on broad street.

Seriously, friends, the is a great find in the West End if you are in Richmond. Family owned and operated. Fresh food made from scratch. Great service. I don’t often post such things but this is worth your time and money. Prices are exceptionally reasonable for the quality and amount of food. Family friendly but also houses a full bar for date night. Unique food items: Homemade lemon sauce on the fresh, handmade crab cake served on a bed of baby spinach; fried oyster salad, chicken parmesan like grandma makes; and real, freshly made funnel cake for dessert!(Just to name a few)

Definitely feels new with the simple menu and decorations, and the food was delicious! Pannekoeken is enormous; easily shared by two-plus! It’s more like a dessert but was scrumptious, regardless. The grilled Belgian waffle was equally amazing with a savory taste. The raspberry sauce was a great twist. Give this place a try, because I can’t wait to see how it grows!
