Go here. Do not pass go. Do not collect $ 200 dollars. Go to Ricky’s Chocolate Box. Just do it. You will not find more sensational AFFORDABLE chocolate elsewhere. I don’t know who Ricky is but I’d like to shake his hand. Also chocolate plus wine. Who needs a picnic?!

I like this place so much that I decided to save this to be my 600^th review…
I am sometimes prone to hyperbolize my recollection of an experience when I really, really like something. That is not the case with this statement: these folks make some of the best toffee I’ve ever had! Their pecan toffee is nothing short of amazing. Creamy, rich, and full of flavor. Flavor that transcends the toffee/​chocolate/​nuts experience and becomes something altogether more impressive than any component when eaten by itself.
This is what other toffee wants to be when it grows up!
It may sound a little strange that I am THIS much in love with their toffee but I will make a special trip just to get more at some point in the near future, Not sure when, but I will probably wake up early on a Saturday morning and demand the whole family pile into the car so we can go back for more toffee.
Also, at $ 16 per pound for anything in the store, they are something of a bargain when it comes to handmade chocolate products.

Delicious! Took home lots of little chocolate goodies. It’s all $ 16 a pound so you can mix it up as much as you want. Hubby only picked out 2 dark chocolate truffles and he regrets not getting more. I loved the sea salt milk chocolate caramels!

In the darling little town of Hermann is a little candy shop selling a large variety of chocolate covered delights by the pound. Milk Chocolate, White Chocolate & Dark Chocolate are the optional coatings. You can choose a variety of nuts, pretzels, fruits, even Twinkies covered in chocolate. We picked up some chocolate covered macadamia nuts, peanut butter cups, cherries, a massive Bavarian pretzel teeming with caramel and chocolate covered, dark chocolate covered coffee beans, along with a few milk chocolate bars. All of this stuff fit in a small white box and cost us about $ 27. This place isnt cheap! The peanut butter cup had real unadulterated peanut butter and tasted exquisite. My favorite purchase was the Bavarian pretzel dripping with caramel and covered in milk chocolate. It was almost impossible to leave there without buying one of everything.
Ricky’s Chocolate Box is a darling little shop perfect for those last minute gifts or special treats for yourself.

Love this place! They are a bit pricey because they weigh the chocolate you pick out. It’s worth it though. All the treats I’ve gotten were excellent. I like their white chocolate covered blueberry crumble.

The most important thing that you need to know about Ricky’s chocolate box is… Everything is sold by the pound!
$ 16 a pound. That means that you can have one of every kind of chocolate that he sells., and if you do, Ricky will give it to you at 20% off!
I absolutely adored the English toffee. Buttery, chocolatey, perfection that melts in your mouth!
Remember, the next time you’re in Hermann buying wine, nothing goes better with Port than chocolate!

I will definitely stop by the chocolate shop every time I’m in Hermann! They had such a great variety and the quality awesome. I tried the bananas foster turtle, blueberry cluster and peanut butter white chocolate pretzel. My husband got the marshmallow, pb and caramel peanut turtle and a coconut cluster. Everything was AWESOME.

Great chocolate and very wide variety! The peanut butter pretzel, marshmallow turtle and peanut clusters are all delicious. Definitely worth a stop!

Every year we take a side trip to hermann on our way to StL. Along with our favorite wineries we MUST visit Ricky’s chocolate box. Amazing selection, quality and taste!

Chocolate specialty shops are always on the expensive side, but this one actually WARRANTS the prices. Delicious stuff. I had a wonderful espresso truffle and my mate tried the Oktoberfest turtle. Both were excellent. The turtle was actually made with German beer and had flaky bits of pretzel on top. This is the type of high-​quality chocolate that will permanently ruin convenience store candy bars for you! The guy working the counter was helpful and enthusiastic. Not sure if it is his store, but he definitely seemed to take pride in it!

I LOVE this place!!! We stop every time we come to hermann!!! It’s the best!
