This place sucked. Wings are horrible… burnt and bland. It’s not spicy at al. Get tenders instead. l

My wife and I drive to Herman every few months just for this place! We have never been in an evening when it was full, so can’t comment on the service then. We are treated great when every we come in. I have even been invited to the bar to taste all the beers. Great selection of beer, esp. Bat Creek brewery. Love the farmers daughter with my meal and have a Machine shed stout for desert. We eat wings weekly, and consider these the best restaurant wings we have found in the state. My wife get extra hot and I get afterburner.(Habanero based) There is one hotter sauce, ghost rider, made with ghost peppers. I always get some on the side to dip my fries. It is hot but sweet. I will not comment on those who choose«chicken lips» over the real thing. My wife is gluten free and has never had any negative effects from the wings or fries. I recommend this restaurant to all my friends.

If I could give no stars, I would. The absolute worst food I’ve had in years. We came in as a group of 5 after pleasant visits to area wineries during the day. Everyone’s food was horrible, no one ate it, we complained to the waitress who could not have cared less. She never said ‘sorry’ or ‘let me try to fix it’, she did however, happily take our money. There was nothing about this visit that was remotely good. It was so disappointing. I honestly cannot imagine how this place is in business.

The good: provel cheese stix were amazing, the provel was so gooey and it was unique as I had never had provel cheese sticks before. The chicken wings were really crispy and there were several sauce and seasoning flavors for them. Good price point. The bad: doesn’t have a full bar just beer and premixed drinks. It seems like it shouldn’t be hard to get some mixers and hard alcohol but apparently it is. The menu is all fried and greasy which is fine but be warned! Not many options in hermann so I would revisit.

This place is the worst in Hermann. I made the mistake of giving them a second chance thinking the manager/host person was having a bad day the first time. He was incredibly rude BOTHTIMES. On the second visit my husband’s had a 5 inch long piece of paper towel cooked in his burger. Ok, what was the paper towel used for??? The waitress who is a nice girl said the paper towels are next to the burger patty prep and that’s probably what happened. Not acceptable but we felt better knowing someone hadn’t used it to wipe his hands or butt. The manager/host aka, Mr. Rudeness comped us a beer… yeah you heard me, ONE beer. We had to pay for a burger with a paper towel cooked into it. This place is rude and unsanitary. I would be curious to see if they pass health code inspections.

We were told this was the place to go in Hermann and boy were the suggestions right on target. We were seated immediately and we took in the aircraft theme. Be sure to really read the menu as you will find quizzes and facts on all things aircraft related. My husband ordered a chicken sandwich with his choice of temperature while I got the chicken tenders with a mild temperature, both came with hot and crispy fries. We were VERY bummed that they were out of their garlic bread sticks — if this is one of your popular items that you sell out of daily, I’d have extra stock on hand, especially if its a big weekend for the town. My husband tried their Farmer’s Daughter Ale as well as another brew and was very happy with the two choices. While the food was great, minus the lack of supplies for their menu items, the service lacked big time. We saw our waiter maybe 5 times and it was frustrating to see the two guys next to us get refills, etc, while we did not. We will for sure try this again the next time in town and I hope they have more of their bread in stock.

Stopped here Monday evening since we heard the wings were great and they were open late. The wings were great! We got the hot and they had enough heat. Fries seemed to be hours old and had been refried. Service at first was quick and attentive. After drinks and food were served we did not see anyone until we were finished, no refills and it took forever to get our check. The place wasn’t crowded either, maybe 3 or 4 tables seated. Also, the place reeked of grease. I could smell it from down the block. So all of that said, I would go back with friends for wings and beer only. I got the Tin Mill Midnight Whistle doppelbock which is my favorite.

The bread sticks are a buttery goodness. The grilled chicken salad was AWESOME. Did not like the chicken lips. Food– 3 stars, Service-5 stars.

I won’t ding this place too much since I didn’t try any of their food… They were busy but they showed no motivation to accommodate our group and so after waiting 20 minutes, we opted for another place to eat and frankly I’m glad we did.

Totally solid option in Hermann. Great draft beer selection and very tasty wings. The fried pickles were a standout for sure.

Good variety of wing sauces, good salad offerings, nice people. Pretty good, certainly quick. You are in a bar, you are getting bar food, relax your expectations. Most places get a 1 star reduction for serving Pepsi, if you are a bar you lose 2 stars. Please, there is no such thing as a Rum n Pepsi. You own bar, serve Coke or close down.(that seems a bit harsh)

We were in town visiting the local wineries and this place came recommended. I’d been here before years ago and I was pleasantly suprised to see that what I had previously enjoyed had only gotten better. Now on tap was beer from the Tin Mill Brewery(another Hermann fave of mine) and their wings are fantastic. The decorations are eclectic to say the least and it’s a welcome change from the other dive bars in the city. My boyfriend and I split a large wing basket and side salads each and we were quite full. Good food for the buy!

Funny every bar in town is standing room only. This place can seat a party of 10 within 4 minutes. They won’t turn World Series on because they are afraid people will stay too long and only drink instead of eating food. I have always known food had a bigger margin???

Food wasn’t the best, I recommend going to other fine establishment before coming here. Wine country has many great place to eat before 7pm weekdays. I recommend this place as a cheap last resort. Open until 10 or later … When in Rome!

I’ve been here several times and never had a bad meal. Get the chicken lips — experiment with flavors and heat level. I’d recommend the jerk and strangely the honey mustard. Good beer and wine selection, relaxed small town bar atmosphere. Among the fairly limited dining options in Hermann, this place ranks near the top. Worth a try if you’re in town.

Terrible service. Food was ok. Atmosphere was cool and interesting. There were several empty tables yet it took 10 minutes to find us a seat. Their service needs some serious help.

The only problem with this place is the so called manager that is related to the owner We walked in and he ignored us then walked back to the kitchen and was talking with the cooks so loudly we could hear him. He was making fun if where we were from and telling the cook we were not welcomed. It was completely unacceptable. We found out later he was the manager and that he was related to the owner. This restaurant is located in a town that depends on tourism and his lack of respect for people outside of his town of 2400 people is not tolerable.

Fantastic wings. Try the chicken lips. Midwest Farmer’s Daughter ale is nice and cold. Aircraft theme. Nothing fancy. Just cold beer and good food located in downtown Hermann, MO. Nice change from sausage, cheese and wine.

I had read about this place before our girls trip to the Kristkindl market. I’ve been to Hermann many times and didn’t want swept up by a tourist trap. This restaurant had the best reviews for the town so we went for it. I figured if people from KC drive in just for the wings or lips then it must be good. Note lips are not actually lips, they are boneless wings or mini strips. First off the were so busy you couldn’t walk in the door. This is a good sign for the food could be bad for the wait. They were very apologetic about making you wait, gave you an estimate for the wait and directed you places you could sit(not many to choose from). There are only 6 chairs at the bar and a small seating area to wait for about 5 or 6. We were hungry but patient. There were eldery people there, snobby people, working class people, etc. Like the Fast Eddie’s crowd drove down just for wings or something. Everyone’s food in the restaurant looked great as it came out. Surprisingly a lot weren’t eating wings, but were eating the seafood sampler. So we wait about 20 mins for a table of 6 hungry women. As soon as we sat down we put in an order for fried pickles with their home made ranch sauce. Both got 2 thumbs up and a big yum yum. All of us liked our food or loved it. We had wraps, honey bbq wings, hot and mild wings, and a burger. Everyone loved their food. The wings are wonderfully crispy but not greasy. The hot didn’t seem very hot to me, but over a few wings the intensity could build up. The sauce comes more drizzled on than tossed so ask for extra sauce. I prefer mine tossed in it but with it being so busy they seem to limit a few«special requests». I had the buffalo chicken sandwich and loved it. Two NEGATIVE notables; their fries are good but way too thin and not much flavor. They are not curly fries as mentioned. Their more like sliced like an onion ring. Just too thin for my liking, but I ate them. Maybe they do this to cook them faster? The cole slaw has no flavor whatsoever. See if you can substitute it. However, this is not going to hurt their rating with me. The POSITIVES: Service was awesome and they were very nice even when stressed with the holiday crowd. The wings burgers and wraps were amazing and the prices are reasonable! 6 of us ate/drank for $ 63 including one appetizer and 2 alcoholic beverages. They need more space, but I’m sure it’s better in summer when the patio is open. This is not a tourist trap by no means. Worth the wait.
