Papa John’s Pizza

I called in an order in for pickup at 6:30. I got there a few minutes early to pick it up. It was ready but by the time I drove home (less than 5 minutes) it was cold. No telling how long it had been sitting there. I will never order from them again.

I know it’s not «cool» to love a chain restaurant but I just can’t hide my true feelings anymore. I LOVE PAPA JOHNS!
I have NEVER had a bad pizza from PJ’s and I just can’t say the same about Jet’s, Pizza Hut, or even some of the independent places around town. I love the buttery tasting crust and all the toppings are always on point. They also have the best cheese sticks I’ve ever tasted. Add the garlic butter, the peppers, and the seasoning packet that comes with the thin crust and I’m just a happy girl! I don’t like the fact they have a delivery charge but I guess that’s pretty standard these days. Just had a pizza from there last night and I’m already looking forward to my next! (yes, I’m a bit of a pizza addict)

This is my favorite delivery pizza company, at least in my area. I like how they consistently have an unlimited toppings pizza for $ 10-​$ 11. They also deliver fairly fast compared to the competition, especially compared to Pizza Hut.
Their other menu items are really expensive though, and they charge a delivery fee like all pizza delivery these days. I always thought the delivery fee was supposed to be the tip you give the driver, but I guess not anymore?
I was really impressed by this Papa John’s recently, even though the situation started with a mistake on their part. I placed on online delivery order and purchased three additional pizza (marinara) sauces to go with the cheese sticks. When my order was delivered, the pizza sauces were not included. I called to complain, not really expecting much, but they really surprised me. They sent out another driver with a free cheese sticks and about 8 pizza sauces. I was really impressed and think they deserve a good mention in Unilocal for going out of their way like that.
