All they do is rotisserie chicken and they do it well. There are sides and salads as well as falafel. They have a salad with pita chip croutons that’s really good, I usually get a quarter chicken with rice and hummus. Seriously, I could eat here everyday. Minus one start for the rude guy.

I got the half chicken with 2 sides. Chicken was cooked really juicy and tasty especially with the garlic sauce. The Mediterranean salad as a side was refreshing and just the right amount of sourness. The hummus was just okay as its too oily. Get extra garlic sauce though pretty good

The chicken is very good, as usual… I tried the spicy hummus, but it was too spicy for me… I’ll stick with the regular hummus…

Owner, server was great made you feel right at home. Menu small, food ok but did not live up to being put on one of my go to places. Order ½ chicken, spicey humus and cole slaw per the owners suggestion and had no problem cleaning my plate. I always look for new healthy and«clean» cooked food and my stomach is the final judge. After eating here my stomach felt a bit unsettled all afternoon. :/

This place has local just written all over it, and rightfully so as I was sitting there lots of people knew the workers by first name basis. I was taken here by a coworker who used to live in Redondo Beach and we were headed to meet a client and stopped in for lunch. I went with exactly what he got, it was the chicken salad that you see on the cover photo for this place. After snacking on some pita with the garlic butter/sauce the food came. Everything was great all together. Take a little bite of pita with the garlic sauce, bite of salad and add a little hot sauce. Winning combo all the way around. I wish I lived closer to here because I can see coming back, but I live in Anaheim so this will have to be a «if I am in the area» spot. If you live in the area and have not been here then you either don’t leave the house or don’t like Greek/Mediterranean food. Great spot to pop in for lunch as the service is quick. Wash it down with a brew and you go on with your day! CHEERS!

After living in Redondo for 25 years I finally discovered this place and am glad I did, ever since i’ve been a 1−2x/week customer which is made even better with their rewards program(you check in with you phone # at the register, and every ~10 visits or so you get a free meal up to $ 12). For the first year I didn’t order anything but the ½ chicken meal, usually with hummus/spicy hummus and then either just steamed veggies or the meditarrainian coleslaw, which is the perfect amount for 2 meals. After a year I finally asked Laith(one of the owners sons) what else I should try– i’ve heard the falaffel dishes are awesome, but he suggested the Poulet Au Rie salad which is basically a chicken caesar salad on steroids– they add fresh made pita-croutons, rice and one of the best salad dressings i’ve ever tasted. This place is usually very busy, especially for takeout though generally it’s only a 15 – 25 minute wait from the time you call in. In some circles the owner is known as the«chicken nazi», obviously compared to the«soup nazi» from the Seinfeld episode(s)… while he’s not on that same level, you can tell at times he’s a lil stressed and who can blame him– the family run business probably feeds a large % of the locals which includes some pro athletes and celebrities that i’ve seen waiting for to-go orders on occasion.

Poulet Du Jour was a pleasant surprise. The hummus was average to start, but when my Poulet Au Rie salad showed up, my opinion went up tremendously. The salad was a large portion, I didn’t finish it. The chicken was tender, the lettuce fresh and the rice was not gummy. The citrus flavor was a perfect combo. Definitely a must try again.

Appearance: The place is very small with bar seating, tables, and half booths. When we entered, we were greeted right away by a man. We were able to choose where we wanted to sit and decided in the corner by the window. As soon as we walked up to the table, I noticed that it wasn’t wiped down after the dishes were taken away. The same man grabbed a rag and wiped down the table. Service: About ten minutes passed when our server decided to come to the table to give us our menus, ask for our drinks and left abruptly. Ten minutes later, a different person came to give us with the waters we asked for. I asked for water with no ice, but I still got some anyway. I didn’t want to make a big deal out of it so I started scooping my ice into my boyfriend’s water. The guy noticed and stated that I should have told the person that I didn’t want any ice, went back to the machine and came back with a water without ice. That made me upset because I specifically stated that in the beginning and didn’t even give me a chance to correct him. We were ready to order as well, but he left without taking our order. About ten more minutes passed and the restaurant began to fill up. Other tables were seated, given drinks and orders were taken while we were sitting and waiting. Even the table next to us were taken care. We finally gave our order and I was already irritated. We finally received our food. Either what we ordered was able to be cooked quickly or the servers finally noticed that we were neglected the whole time because we received our food fairly quickly. We finished our food and it took forever for them to bring us our check. On top of that, it took forever for them to process it and give it back. Food: I ordered a quarter chicken(leg and thigh) with veggies, baked potato and pita bread. The chicken meat fell off the bone, but was extremely bland. The veggies were steamed. The pouch of sour cream sort of freaked me out only because I’ve never seen that before. The pita bread was good, but the garlic sauce that came with it was way too powerful. Overall Experience: This was my first time coming here. I did NOT have a great experience with my boyfriend. If I wasn’t so hungry, l probably would have left right away. I definitely will not be coming back.

Great neighborhood joint that serves tasty roasted chicken. Love their baba ganoush… somehow they make it taste fresher than the ones from other Arabic places in the area(although I enjoy all of them). Service is quick and friendly and always see a lot of take-out orders when I dine there.

Bf and I stopped here and ordered three items to go. The total was $ 30+. The staff were warm and welcoming. The chicken was dry; The falafel was moist; and The Cesar salad had Dijon flavor, which I didn’t care for.

I love this place! The salad is freaking awesome! To the Jack ball who left a bad review because of supposed threats made by the owner, there are 3 sides to a story. Your side, their side, and the truth. I’m sorry but the owner had never been rude or threatening in any manner. Maybe you should learn to be more respectful and not park on private property. Your lucky he didn’t have your car towed. Maybe he should get your car towed next time to teach you a lesson. Next time tell the truth and don’t go whining on social media because you were wrong!

Our favorites: ¼ chicken dark meat combo I love the Mediterranean Coleslaw, garden salad and spicy humus Husband loves the mediterranean potato salad and pilaf ANDTHEGARLICSAUCEISAMAZZZZIIIIING! Hubby and I are moving to the East Coast and we loved Poulet De Jour so much that we had our last meal in all of Los Angeles at Poulet De Jour. Best chicken I have ever had in my life. Quarter chicken combo is the way to go. Sincere and motivated staff, every day. I have gone about 30 times and i’m never disappointed. They even deal with pretentious beach dweller customers with grace i don’t even have. Hope to see this place continue to thrive.

Right across the street from the gym I work out at I needed to give it a try after staring at it through the window! I got a delicious chicken Caesar salad and really appreciated the pepper grinder on every table. So why only three stars? Well, the service was not friendly at all. No smiles, no checking on me, when I asked for a to go box and the check I was met with disdain. Got the box but still no check. Finally I went up to the register and the cook had to tell the owner who was sitting right in front of me that I needed help. The owner was sweet after his attention was gotten but still no smile. Lots of regulars coming in though who must be used to this. I’ll be back for the rotisserie chicken as it looks great and now at least I know what to expect.

I got the ¼ chicken and although delicious, it was served warm instead of hot as it normally is. I’m just caulking it up to being busy.

Food is great and healthy. Looks like it’s family owned. It just takes a while for service. I’m in the #21dayfix and found plenty of food I’m allowed to eat! Makes it extremely easy. I just changed my review from a 4 to a 5 because the owner came out and chatted with us for a while it was extremely pleasant!

Ordered take out from Poulet du Jour yesterday night and it was a delicious and satisfying dinner! I called around 6pm and the guy who answered said it would take 25 – 30 min. We arrived on time and was able to pick up the food right away. As for food, I ordered the poulet au rie salad with the lemon dressing. The portions were HUGE and I could only eat a little more than half(and was very stuffed after). The taste was pretty good, not super sour but it gets a little too sour after you eat too much of it. The salad came with croutons that resembled pita chips, rotisserie chicken breast, parmesan cheese, and rice. At first I thought the rice would be a weird combo in a salad, but it was actually a nice touch because I like carbs and it was filling :) It reminded me of eating a chipotle burrito bowl. The chicken was a bit dry but overall, I was happy with the salad. My bf ordered the ½ chicken with two sides, pita bread and garlic sauce. He chose the potato salad and the spicy hummus for his sides. He thought his meal was really good, especially for only $ 8.99! The chicken could be more moist/tender, but the flavor was very yummy. The sides were great too! The potato salad dressing was similar to my lemon salad dressing. The hummus is a must-try if you can handle a little bit of spice. Overall, this place is a good option if you are looking for something relatively healthy and casual. The portions are huge and prices are pretty low for the food you get. I rate it 4⁄5 just because it’s not the BEST food I’ve had, but it is a great value and I would love to come back in the future.

Poulet Du Jour is a mom n’ pop Palestinian/Jordanian restaurant specializing in rotissierie chicken. The service is friendly casual and the food tastes like homecooking. All ingredients are very fresh. There is an interesting selection of beers here, notably Almoza from Lebanon and Hinano from French Polynesia. Rice Chicken Salad and glass of chardonnay is $ 18
