This place is the main reason I wild visit Charlotte again. The food was outstanding. The atmosphere was really cool. And most importantly, the coffee was the best I had on my whole trip. Usually coffee shops/bakeries have good desserts but bad coffee. Cozy Café has great everything.

Breakfast or lunch here is good, portions are big, you will not leave here hungry, prices are fair, parking is a little challenging but worth it.

I love the fast friendly service here. It really is a cozy spot, you sit right up at the kitchen bar. Lots of very rich indulgent breakfasts and also some more health concious choices as well. The quality is okay, you won’t find grass fed or free range options, foods tasty none the less.

Now this is a great breakfast counter! Great food you know is cooked to order because you are almost sitting in the kitchen! I love it. I had the Greek Special, a big scramble with all the Greek flavored you would expect. Keep it real Cozy Café!

When they say ‘cozy’ they mean COZY: 15 bar stools around a U-shaped bar counter in a room that could be a pantry. AND it means cozy in the sense of family friendly, intuitive service… and DELICIOUS, HUGE servings of Greek/Mexican/American inspired dishes. I had the Greek Scramble with spinach, sweet tomatoes, feta and garlic tzajicki(yum!!). Awesome. My daughter had a grilled chicken sandwich with fries — huge serving and she finished everything. My husband had a ham and cheese omelet… although he and I didn’t finish all of our food we were quick to let the owner know it wasn’t because we didn’t like it — the servings were just too much! Oh, and the potatoes were cooked just right — not oily! And the omelets weren’t oily either. We will be back for sure! Find street parking one block away or at Victoria Park.

After several years of driving by this itty-bitty box of a place, we finally stopped in for breakfast after church last Sunday morning… The tiny, 10 seat horse-shoe shaped counter was jammed, and we immediately knew it was a happy place by the way of all the customers warmly welcomed us… Then we met George, and it was easy to see why everyone was having such a good time… He definitely sets the overall jovial tone… I had huevos-rancheros(with George’s extra hot green salsa – !!!)… My hubby had huge pancakes with a softly poached egg… Everything was good… We will be back to try other things, and to enjoy the fun atmosphere… Also, this Unilocal listing doesn’t give the website… soooo… Go to to check out the menu…

It’s ok. I got the Greek scramble and my wife got the corned beef hash. We got these items because the Unilocal reviews recommended them. My food was decent. The Tzatziki was ok, a little garlicy. The home fries were ok. My wife said she would rate the corned beef hash a 2⁄5. Overall nothing to write home about. We came here because of the great Unilocal reviews. As a side note, I tried paying with AMEX because there was a sticker on the window saying they accept it. They don’t accept AMEX.

Cozy Café will warm your heart with their food and service! Located in a tiny kitchen, attached to a house facing PCH, Cozy Café projects a classic diner-feel that’ll endear. —-The Food — - Chorizo & Eggs($ 7.75) — A large order of Spanish sausage mixed with scrambled eggs and topped with avocado, home fries, tortillas, and toast. The chorizo is wonderfully seasoned and of great quality. The home fries could be salted more, but tabasco and ketchup would fix that – I do love the crispy, mildly burnt edges in them. While the consistency of the sausage can look unappealing, the flavor is abundantly present. Chorizo Burrito($ 8.00) — Picture everything above, but exclude eggs, avocado, and add cheese… then wrap it in a large tortilla. Delicious. I LOVED how generous they were with the cheese, however, I think this burrito needs avocado, bell peppers, or another supplement to give it some zing. Between these two items, I’d recommend just the chorizo and eggs. —- Conclusion: The best part about this charming place is that it feels like a hidden gem and the service is fantastic. Only able to seat less than 10 people at one time, the stool seating will encourage you to sit and chat with locals while the family cooks in full view. I thought it was adorable how their young son helped cook too. They have a lengthy menu that serves breakfast and lunch at affordable prices as well. I do question their cleanliness as the tables and menu are sticky with grease and they use the same butter spoon over and over again, but I’ll be back to try their pancakes! Extra Notes: –Accepts credit card –Terrific service –Very tiny joint with circular stool seating, seats less than 10. –Patio seating available –Walls are adorned with framed pictures of family, locals, and history of Redondo Beach –One TV available –Tables and Menus need to be cleaned –Only 3 parking spots available adjacent to the café. If full, must park down the street and walk. –Restroom available

FAVORITEBREAKFASTSPOTEVER!!! George the owner is so funny and welcoming. Shout out to His and Carlos for making the yummiest food ever. I love to come here with my family or with friends(when we are all hungover lol). It closes around 2PM. Sometimes I wish it was open later. All their food is good– breakfast and lunch. I don’t know anyone who has had a bad meal or experience here– and I know a lot of locals who go here on the daily. This will be your new favorite spot! It’s a must try

Ok best way to describe this place, imagine your mom and dads kitchen had a open door and served anyone who walked in with good food at a great price. This is a locals place, I’ve been coming here since I was a kid, and I don’t think anything has changed. Now there are a lot of nice places with expensive food that’s all dressed up, THISISNOTTHATPLACE!!! This is real food at a real price, not a place to be shy, come pull up a chair and talk to the locals then head down to the pier, it’s the South Bay way

Never have I been lead astray by Unilocal. Today was that day. The quality of food was low, and not good tasting, we ordered omlets– which are served like scrambles… and the prices were not that great for what you’re getting. I wanted coffee, and it was your classic diner water coffee. No other styles of coffee. I wanted an iced coffee so badly! The lady across the bar from us told us from her professional experience of working at a diner for 2 years in her youth, if you just take the coffee and pour it over ice, it gives you iced coffee. We declined the use of her advice… The service was great. And the food came out immediately. It might just not be our style, but we were behooved at the 4.5 star review…

Great service + awesome food! This was our first time trying this place and I wish we found it earlier. This is a hidden gem We got the screwball breakfast– which was served with eggs and potatoes. It was really tasty! We also got the Gyro Plate — BOMB! I love their gyro it was crunchy and soft and that tzatziki sauce just made it! I’m definitely coming back to try the other stuff on the menu! downside it was hot but hey food was really good!

With the exception of the wait on a busy sunday morning, the price you pay and the quantity you receive are fantastic! This tiny location springs upon you out of nowhere so keep a close eye off the road for this place. There are two separate rooms for dining. The closer room to the road, in my opinion, has more fancy decorations, a tv, and more interactive service. Their specialties are a fusion of Greek and hearty breakfast and lunch dishes. One of their signature dishes, the Greek Deluxe, is loaded with all sorts of goodies! You’ve got your meat, you’ve got your feta cheese, the eggs, all sorts of flavors. Have fun finishing the entire dish in one sitting by yourself. Again, be very mindful of the wait, which was the ONLY drawback from giving this place a perfect rating, however, their service was still very friendly so you’ve got to give them some credit. Parking is very limited too but you’ll do just fine finding parking on the streets in the neighborhood. FINALLY, a place that does not charge so much for good breakfast. I will definitely be returning to Cozy Café for more of their dishes.

I love this joint(!) when I lived by it I was a regular and now that I’m not there I have it in my heart and mind to visit just to see the guys and get a 2×4 once in a while. If you are thinking of coming here. do It! Try something new or stick to a staple, you won’t be disappointed. It’s a gem of the SouthBay, and say Hi to George, he’s the loud, ornery looking one. Much love for this place.

This place is most definitely cozy! And believe it or not, they expanded this place, yet it’s so tiny. I love it! Small, family businesses are my favorite. This was pretty much my first time in Redondo Beach and my friends took me to this place after we went surfing. They’ve been here for almost 10 years… you can definitely tell that the owner and them were close. I got their 2 pancakes, 2 sausages, 2 bacon, and 2 eggs over hard. It’s a simple breakfast, but it was just so good that it hit the spot. They also had PEANUTBUTTER; I was so happy!!! No one usually has PB so that definitely completed the meal. Next time I’m in the area, I’ll be back. The employees are very nice and the owner is very outspoken and loud, which I love!

Cozy is pretty tiny place, if you count only the front restaurant with its 8 seats or so, the back patio actually can sit about 20 – 24 people or so, so if you cram everyone in its actually not that small a joint. Now on to the food. We got the Greek Deluxe Scramble and Banana hotcakes for our meals and bottomless coffee. The banana pancakes were delicious, fluffy and packed with banana flavor, they really know how to crisp up the bacon on the order if thats how you iike it(just tell’em you want your bacon«well done»(you can do that with your home fries as well!) The greek deluxe scramble was tasty, but coudl’ve used more seasoning on it, the tomato chunks were a bit large but wasn’t terrible in anyway. The scramble worked and it was tasty and came in a hearty portion, if you kill the scramble and the home fries you should be pretty full afterwards. The prices were super reasonable, service was ok and the food was tasty. Next time I come i’m gonna order some other items off their menu. I’d definiltey come back. I’d recommend getting there early though, by the time we finished our meal around noon the place was bursting with people trying ot score a table to eat at. it was only moderately busy when we got there around 10ish on a sunday morning.

Came here for a late breakfast this morning. I’ve heard such amazing things about this place and was excited to try their banana pancakes! It was a national holiday, so they were busier than usual, which may have affected the food prep. We sat at the counter and the servers were busily running around. I ordered the banana hot cakes special, which included two banana pancakes, 4 bacon(or sausage, or ham) and two eggs any style for only $ 7.00! What a great deal! My dad had told me about the pancakes and how they were the best he’s had in the area. Today, we both ordered the pancakes, but he said they weren’t as rich in banana flavor, as soft/fluffy, and instead of being golden brown they were a dark brown(little over cooked. I’m just guessing it was an off day due to maybe a packed house. Im definitely coming back to give them another shot. Still good food and you can’t beat those prices, but a little underwhelmed to what I was expecting
