Just left Old Venice for dinner. We hadn’t been here for a long time and we thought we’d go in and try it out. We seated ourselves and then pored over the menu. So many choices… We finally decided on the chicken parmesan sandwich and the jambalaya. The sandwich was huge and my husband thought it was pretty tasty. He found the bread crunchy on the outside ans soft on the inside. The chicken and sauce was just right. My jambalaya was served in a very large plate and looked very tasty. My only complaint was the lack if seafood in the dish. It had a good amount of dry chicken and sausage, but i only got 2 small shrimp and couldn’t find any other seafood. I guess for $ 20 they can’t afford more(???) Service was good. Especially the gentleman assisting the server. Would I come back? Probably. Decent meal, good prices and right in the heart of downtown. I guess I will not be ordering the jambalaya.

Stopped in for a quick snack while visiting from Texas and wished we had longer to stay and sample much more of the menu. Had house made hummus, spanakopita with marinara and Avgolemono(?) soup. There is absolutely not one thing that can be said to the negative. Everything was so delish and I’m so glad I tried the soup it’s now one of my new favorites. The marinara was incredible! could not stop eating the hummus. If we ever find ourselves in Manhattan beach for any reason we will return!

if I could give this place a zero star I would. Let’s just say I don’t enjoy my meal with a splash of surface cleaner on me or on my food.

Loved the Calzone and the sevice was excellent. My dining partner had the linguini with clams in a white sauce and enjoyed it tremendously.

Great place and wonderful service. Service earning an extra star here. Although incredibly busy, the 1 server(yes 1!) acknowledged us and did his best to get to us in time. Food was good. Had the lamb pita and meatball sub. Enjoyed. No wow factor. Great Unilocal deal on the free ice cream though.

Best Italian food in the south bay. You can really tell the owners care and are very passionate about the restaurant. It’s always great to support local businesses a definite must-see if you’re in the south bay.

This was our second time at Old Venice because we were craving Greek food. We ordered the gyro plate which was awful. We were surprised by the poor quality food they served us. It was empty when we walked in and the service was only just fine. They charge $ 7 for a «small salad» that really was like a side salad. When I asked for lemons to make the lemon Greek potatoes taste better, the waiter came back with 1 tiny slice of lemon. There are so many better restaurants in manhattan beach that consistently produce good quality food, and this is definitely not one of them. We definitely will not be going back.

What an amazing day! Just happened to stop by this little gem, and as we sit down, I ask our waiter what his favorite meal is. He makes some excellent recommendations. I recognize him right away. Because I’m his biggest fan! What a surprise that I’m being waiting on none other than Mr Dance cam master himself, Chris Sutter! GKG! The food is delicious, so fresh and full of flavor. And Chris is a very attentive and gracious host. I’ll definitely be back! Hopefully Chris and I can talk hockey some more!

This place is just adorable. We were a party of three and shared the Big Fat Greek Feast. It was just wonderful. Everything was prepared beautifully, and the service was friendly and attentive.

The ambiance was nice, mostly has an Italian feel than Greek(Greek & Italian restaurant). I had eggplant parmigiano & it was delicious. My hubby had lasagna… so disappointed. It was cold inside! Not even room temp, I think it was placed on a microwave prior to being served. The bread was also burnt-out :( One thing that was good, the service. The guy helping the waitress was very attentive. Price wise, not bad at all.

This was the worst service i have ever had at a restaurant. Our waitress was very forgetful and unprofessional. I cant even put into words how terrible it was. Our specific basic food requests went completely unacknowledged.(No dressing or olives on salad, refilling water, lemons, knifes, salt and pepper) They seemed so unprepared. It ruined my dining experience and i will never go back.

My husband and I love this place. We try to go at least once a month. I haven’t tried anything Italian here so I can only comment on the Greek food which is amazing! The Gyro, Gyro plate, and Greek salad are all amazing. Their Greek wine is also really nice. We also love that they are family owned and they are so welcoming every time we dine there. If you are strolling along Manhattan Ave and looking for good food try this place. They also have outdoor seating which is a nice touch on a hot summer day. Parking is crazy for that entire area so plan to park free a few blocks away and walk there.

I didn’t want to put any star, but I have to do it to post. Becouse that place it was disgusting. The worst food that we had tried in our life. They served it cold. You have to wait 1 hour to eat and there were 4 people I meant it wasn’t many people waiting. The pasta gluten free it was a shame 9 penes and so cold. If you are offering gluten free you must be more responsible. People like me have allergic and we need to eat healthy. It was so horrible. They must closed it. With the regular food it was the same. I don’t recommen this place. Keep out. Don’t waste your time.

We were taking a nice beachside stroll along the Strand and we headed up a street to avoid to sun. We ran into this little locally owned gem of a restaurant. Charming and quaint ambience. We both had pita wraps — he had the vegetarian and I had the gyro. For $ 9, the wrap was ginormous, stuffed with thick shavings of delicious meat in a warm fresh thick pita envelope. Woo hoo! You know what would have made it even better? Accompanying fries! There were two steak fries wedged inside the gyro but fries were a la carte. Regardless, the wrap was very filling and delicious. Do a Unilocal check in for free ice cream. We shared the cherry vanilla gelato which made up for the lack of fries. Wait service was warm and friendly. This is a definite surprise and a repeat visit in my book.

Free ice cream with check in! Greek AND Italian mixup. This is wonderful. I love Greek cheese and Italian sauces. This spot is definitely a gem. One of my absolute favorites because both cuisines are my favorite. I ordered the pasta with marinara sauce and a bunch of appetizers. It was so light yet fulfilling. Weather was perfect because it was chilly. I know I ordered ouzo. Holy moly, it was wonderful and mind you, I’m not a huge fan of alcohol. The sweet approach from the owners was interested because it’s not every day the owner of a busy business makes time to ask my family and I how we’re doing. The fact that the restaurant is family owned business is definitely a plus. You won’t miss it. First thought in your mind will be what?!? Greek AND Italian? But once you walk in and settle down, you’ll see how wonderful and charming this spot is. I can’t wait to be in the area again and have a taste of their divine tzatziki.

Italian/Greek restaurant. Their menu had two sections. The first section was for Italian and the second one was for Greek. 3stars: *cute and colorful décor. * staff was pleasant, especially our waitress was great. She was nice and polite. * food was good. Garlic bread, Veggie lasagna, and Eggplant parmesan. The bread was soft, warm, and fresh. The lasagna was tasty. There were lots of veggies, but the portion was huge. It was more like a home cooking meal. The eggplant sandwich was good too. + 1star: *complimentary ice cream for Unilocal check in. They give you a choice of flavor: chocolate, pear, or butterscotch. I chose butterscotch and it was creamy and very good. It’s a good restaurant for lunch and casual dinner. 4 stars.

Walked by on a Friday at 5pm because I was early for an appointment and had 30 min to kill. The weather was gorgeous so I decided to sit outside at one of their cute outdoor tables and treat myself. It took quite a while for anyone to notice me and when I wanted to order a beverage the conversation was awkward and made me feel uncomfortable. I ordered an ice tea but the whole vibe to treat myself was off. Later on the kitchen staff came outside to sit at the tables and check their phones. They didn’t look very happy. No other customers joined us which is surprising at such a prime time during the week. With so many other great places to eat and drink I wonder if I’ll ever go back and try the food.
