The Music Loft

Great and friendly customer support. We had a problem with a flute, and Laura helped us get it fixed and got us a temporary flute in the meantime. Music Loft made the experience so easy for us. Love the place and I highly recommend them.

They have not only done a great job helping her learn to play her instrument, though. Their enthusiasm and love for music is evident, and contagious. They have helped her to appreciate music. My daughter has been taking piano lessons here for 7 months. We are extremely happy here at Music Loft. The owners and teachers are passionate about music and passionate about teaching. Class is a weekly highlight for my daughter — the one-​on-​one lessons are top notch. This is definitely not a factory-​like atmosphere dumping unenthused musicians into the world. its a place to inspire kids to appreciate and love music.

A great place for getting real music lessons — not the kind taught by some starving student or wanna be, plinked out on a dusty piano in a closet, no this is a genuine music lovers studio — real musicians, Ie. people who perform for a living and share their love of music. Funky, fun, not your mother’s music school.

This is not a store with lessons in the back. This is an actual school of professional music educators who have a passion for teaching. The people who work here are like a family and the same closeness is extended to the students. This is a lovely gem in the heart of Herndon.

You will not find a better place for your music lessons! We found it insanely easy to get started, ALL of the instructors are awesome, and the level of service is simply amazing. Forgot your instrument at school? No problem! They can usually loan you one. Need to fix an instrument? No problem! They do repairs and have strings, reeds, rosin, what have you in stock! Need to accommodate an insane summer schedule? No problem! Pick the 8 lesson date/​times you want for summer and you’re all set. Not crazy about performing in public? No problem! Recitals are high encouragement and low stress. Like getting freebies with your semester? No problem! Master classes are available several times a year and you can take as many or as few as you like. (Our personal favorite — Halloween Master Class on learning how to make your violin produce creepy sounds like a coffin opening.) Can’t decide on a good music book? No problem! They know your kid and what would be a good choice, so you don’t waste your money on something that isn’t just right. They really care about the quality of instruction and the love of learning for each individual child (and they also teach grownups, too.). Highly, highly recommended for music learners including voice, piano, strings, what have you — they are simply top notch at the Loft and we know you’ll think so too. Give it a try and you won’t be disappointed. They aren’t the most expensive, but they are definitely the BEST.
