The Pizza Place

Food is amazing!!! I enjoy eating here with my family often. I usually order the ribs because they’re so good or if I’m just picking up a slice you can’t go wrong with the Crustina slice, it’s to die for.
But not only is the food outstanding, so is the service. The waitress, I believe her name is Mindy is always happy to see you whether it’s your first time there or your 20^th (like my family haha)
And the boss Roger is also one of the nicest guys, makes you feel so welcomed coming in every time.
I’ve done plenty of catering orders for my kids birthdays and one just last weekend of lasagna for my daughters graduation party, everyone loved it. Keep up the great work!

Thanks Guys for the wonderful service I received over the weekend. I had a backyard party for family and friends and decided to cater all the food in. Absolutely fantastic, I ordered 3 full trays and 2 half trays of Calamari, shrimp oreganato, chicken cutlet, and linguini with Clams. Absolutely delicious and fresh, not surprising from these guys, they take pride in their food and very professional when it comes to serving the neighborhood. Thanks to Roger and Alex, great job guys.

Although the pizza is good I was upset to find out they do not use recyclable containers for their takeout. Please request recyclable containers when you order.

Thank you Pizza Place and Pete everyone loved chicken francese and spaghetti francese I know you don’t recommend it but it is oh sooooooo gooood!

This place is great. The staff has always been nice and the food is delicious. I eat there regularly.

The food from the pizzeria is always on point, often get the buffalo chicken slice it’s one of the best on the south shore. We had dinner from the restaurant here once as well and it was good. The only downfall about this place is the owner or the apparent owner who can be extremely condescending to his employees in front of the public on occasion. Since I eat here sometimes 5+ times a month I have seen this happen a few times. He is always good to his customers though and the food is always great.

I like this place a lot — they have great food and service. Both their pizza and their entrees are delicious and you can’t really go wrong with anything on the menu.

This is our go to restaurant. In fact, I consider the Pizza Place an extension of our home. Never have I been disappointed. The food is magnificent, and Pete and Roger aim to please. In fact, my favorite, customized dish, known as the «Adam» is pre-​programmed into the computer in order to insure it comes out the same way every time. Now if that isn’t attentiveness and great service, I don’t know what is. FYI, the Adam is a low carb eaters dream come true. Grilled chicken (not marinated) topped with the best ever meat sauce, ricotta cheese and topped with fresh mozzarella. The portion is huge and cannot be finished in the restaurant. Add a side of sautéed broccoli (garlic and oil), and you have an amazing meal. Their meatballs are incredible too, and the marinara sauce is the best I have ever had (and I am from Brooklyn). For the carb eaters, the pastas here are amazing. I don’t know whether their pastas are home made, but they sure taste it, and they are always cooked just right. Even the whole wheat linguine is amazing. My favorite pasta dish there is the Rigatoni Pestoroso. It is ridiculous. The sauce is has a cream base with pesto (and I was never a huge pesto fan), chicken and melted mozzarella. Attention those on death row, this is a last meal request for sure. Even the regular pesto pasta without all the bells and whistles is to die for. I must mention that Pete, one of the owners, comes up with creative specials all of the time. His baby back ribs are amazing (served with hand cut fries that are brilliant). His fish dishes are terrific too. My wife loves the Livornese, which can be ordered with salmon, sole, tilapia, etc. Head there on lobster night for a great meal.
Have I mentioned that their pizza is spectacular. Among the best I have had on Long Island. For the carb lovers, try the whole wheat bar pie. It’s damn good.
Finally, I cannot say enough about the staff. From the guys at the counter, to the waitresses and the bussing staff, everyone is warm and friendly. They go the extra mile to make you happy.
Ultimately, the thing I enjoy the most at the Pizza Place is the feeling of being at home with family. Every meal at the Pizza Place is a special one. I hope «the Place» continues to thrive for many years to come.

Driving north had Bigelow’s in my GPS, knew it was ten minutes away etc… then saw this cute looking storefront for The Pizza Place… and knew I should check it out.
Looked at the Neapolitan/​round pizza and thought naa. needs reheating and looks skimpy. etc.
but then took a good look at the Sicilian and Grandmas and knew that was their thing.
In the car instead of having one and saving one for the person I got if for. had both! Cancelled my trip to Bigelows…
Sicilian pizza is so good here… like you would get in Brooklyn. In the front a very helpful nice guy from El Salvador. coming out of the kitchen I saw an authentic Italian must have been the owner.
Will stop over any time I’m near this way. for perfect Sicilian… sauce is perfect! cheese is perfect, crust is crunchy… no need to go to Brooklyn. this is the real deal. perfect. Try it.

The food is decent just don’t order delivery.
I placed an order with a 45 minute wait time and an hour later, when I called to confirm, they said the driver was on his way.
30 minutes later they called me again to let me know they thought my order was for pick-​up.
Again, don’t order delivery as they are disorganized and will leave you hungry.

The food is pretty good but the manager is so nasty. Super rude to costumers and has a serious ego. Really takes away from the whole experience.

Bleh!!! Terrible, flavorless dry and overly priced pizza. Always have the same reheated crap never anything new and when there is something fresh it’s five bucks for a slice!!! I came once in here for lunch aside from the pervy workers checking out the underage girls– they were sweeping and mopping floors right near the food. no thanks

The best pizza in the neighborhood!!! Guys behind the counter are nasty. The waitresses are nice.

We eat in and get delivery often. The food is fresh and delicious. The waitresses are very nice. All of the different types of pizza and pasta dishes are very good. Favorites are chicken parmesan and ziti bolognese. They have the best meat sauce in town. For something lighter I like the grilled chicken Caesar salad. Never had a bad meal here.

I go to The Pizza Place often because I work close by and I love their chicken rolls. However, out of all the times I’ve been there I haven’t once heard any of the workers utter the words «please,» «thank you,» or «have a nice day.» Everyone working there looks miserable and won’t even crack a smile. I really do not understand it. I go there in a good mood and their negative vibes bring me down. I get that people can be in bad moods, but they should at least say thank you when handed money!

Bad idea. Ordered 5 different slices at the counter and I was going to pay there until the old man decided that I should pay my bill at the table. Obviously so I can give them a tip. Wasn’t too happy about that since their pizza is overpriced as it. Since I was already there we ordered wings. Another bad idea. They were not fresh wings. They were hot from the outside and when I bit the center it was ice cold. We told the waiter. They took the wings and gave us the same exact batch. Except that now it was scalding hot since they refried them again.
Definitely will not be returning and like other Unilocalers say there are better pizzerias around.

Very expensive for a pizza place. Maybe because it is Hewlett they figure people have the money. I ordered 8 dinners from here and they were so so. Veal parm was not fresh and very thin slices. Pasta was dry and hard. Obviously laying around for some time. I have had better for less money. A bit disappointing for a place that charges so much.

Great place for delivery they were quick and nice. Price wasn’t too bad and the slices were decent size.

I went to Hewlett High School, which is across the street from this local pizzeria and live 5 minutes away so naturally I grew up eating here. The pizza is pretty good. Their buffalo slice is AMAZING and better than any other that I’ve tried. Grandma and plain slices are pretty good also. This is the kind of place that I never got sick of, even after eating it 5 consecutive days for lunch (which I used to do).
They’re very friendly, but during the week they can be a bit rude to the high school kids that come in during their lunch period — their restaurant is jam-​packed with loud, annoying kids, which I suppose can get frustrating but on the other hand, a good amount of their business does come from them…
You can either order from the counter or sit down and order off a menu — it’s exactly what you’d expect from a local pizzeria. It’s also a little pricey, BUT it matches the neighborhood and the price you’d pay to get food anywhere else.
They deliver as well, while Marinara does not.
