Family had bistec sandwich & chicken bowl. Ok for Latin fast food prefer Miami mom & pops restaurants

So… I went back today to see if there had been an improvement in the Cuban sandwich’s pork to ham ratio. Last time I was here it seemed like the Cuban was more of a ham and cheese as opposed to an actual Cuban. The owner offered me a gift card and try the sandwich again. I declined the gift card but I did agree to come and try the Cuban again. I can’t say that it was much of an improvement. There was about ½ of a pork slice more than there was when I went the first time. I also had the malanga fritters which are still delicious by the way. I can’t say that I will never come here because there is so much on the menu that looks good. But I Def won’t ever be ordering the Cuban again.

I like this place, I actually love it. Associates are very professional and they are always trying to help every customer. My only concern is that if I wanted to eat Cuban food, I would like to get it where Cubans cock. None of the associates are Cuban. It is like if you go to a Chinese restaurant and the chef is not Chinese, it defeats the purpose. Other than that I would give this place 5 stars.

Love this place! Cuban Fritas are amazing here! I went on Monday when they had the pan con bistec special for 3 dollars! That’s crazy. This location is the newest one in Hialeah so it’s clean and organized. Love it def give it a try!

Cuban Guys is everything you expect from traditional Miami Cafeterias only made much better. The pan con bistec and media noche are fantastic, and the service is good. Since I have one near my home I might end up visiting more often.

Yeah, I wrote a really long Unilocal for their other restaurant here in Hialeah a couple of years ago. It is not surprising to me that they are growing with rumors of them continuing to grow. The main thing I noticed while visiting this location is how consistent they are from one location to the other. Many times a growing business will lose key elements that made them popular to begin with when they start expanding to other locations. One location will do «this» while the other newer location doesn’t. Customer Service at one location is «like this,» while at the newer locations it’s «like that.» I am very impressed with this business and very content to see them grow. I hope they don’t get bought-out by a larger corporation. I really don’t. I hope they remain locally run/owned. See, not so long ago, there was another fast food style Cuban Restaurant that grew and grew FAST. So much so that they got bought-out by a larger corporation. Today, that restaurant is not even the shadow of what it once was when it was only one restaurant in Miami in 1988. Basically, here you are going to get great quality authentic foods that are authentic to South Florida/Cuba. This time, I had their Pan con Lechón. Another success and one of the best I have had out there. I also had this accompanied by an order of fries and a Batido de Mamey. The fries, honestly, weren’t that«great.» This«may» have been a «one time occurrence kinda thing» with the fries. I have had their fries before. They have never been like that. Compared to their other location in Hialeah, relatively speaking, I live closer to this location. I don’t come here more often because the traffic going to Westland Mall SUCKS and that’s using the shortcuts. Getting to their other location is actually less stressful. I just happened to be in the area and jumped at the chance. Just a Note: Me running into the owner while leaving, he stopping his car in the middle of Westland Mall to say hello because he remembers me from a couple of years ago at their other restaurant and online did not influence the star issuance or this review on Unilocal. It was hilarious. I didn’t know who he was at first. I was all like, «who the Hell is this guy trying to pick me up at Westland Mall?» P. S.: No, I’m not going to tell you which restaurant I was referring to above. Hint: They serve pollo.

First time visiting this establishment, since I was shopping at Westland Mall(Hialeah). I ordered to regular Fritas $ 3.50 each with an order of fries $ 2.35, since I checked in with my Spot on rewards, I got a free drink. The Fritas are very delicious, juicy, succulent in every bite. The fries were fresh and crispy. They offer other cuban sandwiches, bowls, shakes, and drinks. I wasn’t aware that they offer breakfast. On Mondays $ 3 steak sandwiches, Tuesdays $ 2 fritas, Wednesday $ 4 steak bowls.(all after 4pm)

Cuban Guys is sooo GOOD! Before Cuban Guys, to get fritas I would go to El Rey De Las Fritas and they’re great too but Cuban Guys stepped it up! They’re fresh and flavorful! They don’t just sell fritas, but also sell sandwiches such as traditional steak and pork or a media noche sandwich, steak bowls(brings lots of food), sides such as mariquitas and yuca frita, smoothies, and yummy Cuban desserts! They have a new dessert. Oreo churro with oreo cream filling dipping sauce!(SOGOOD) I’m really glad they opened up here on 49 st! By the way, they also have specials! Mondays: $ 3 pan con bistec Tuesdays: $ 2 fritas Wednesdays: $ 4 bowls
