I stopped in the other day for meat pirogi, 6 of them, washed them down with a Polish beer. Really good. But… I was a little frustrated I had to pay an extra 75 cents for a very small cup of sour cream, really? I mean shouldn’t it come with???

This is why I love Unilocal!Driving for over 6 hours – PA to WI. it is late. I am hungry. Can’t do fast food at the Service Plaza again or I’ll puke. Pull off on a promising exit and drive towards the action. Stop in a parking lot and check Unilocal. One block away is Highlander’s Grill hidden at the back of a small plaza. No one is in the restaurant, but my fellow Unilocalers had assured me this was the place. Confidently step to the counter and chat up the man. Decide on Italian sausage sandwich with hot peppers and cheddar cheese sauce. Crispy French frys. Yum! Home Run!

Very inexpensive for the huge yummy portions. I had the garlic burger my husband had the bacon burger. Wow the burger is so big and full of fresh things like tomatoes, lettuce, onions, mayo, mushrooms, bacon, cheese etc depends what you pick. The pattie tastes grilled and is very different from anything ive had. I live 2 mins away very excited to try more food there. I felt like I was in Poland :) Oh and the fries are good like burger king crispy but better and fresh.

Highlander’s has never failed me. They have the best burgers in the area, and great Polish food. The food you see in the pictures are exactly what you get, not a yucky smashed up burger. I’ve been eating here since they first opened.

Nice fast food place, clean, estheticly pleasing, with good, reasonable food. Did not try it, but the home made ice cream looked good.

I love the Philly cheesesteak sandwiches and the various soups that are offered. During the summer months the homemade ice cream really hits the spot :-)

I wish I knew about this place sooner. We tried a few things from the menu since it was our first time. The soup was fantastic and tasted like it came out of my grandmas kitchen. Their burgers is a must try. Fresh ingredients, very generous portion. The zapiekanki(we had the mushroom topping) was crispy and had just the right amount of each topping, good to the last bite. We also tried the pierogi and they were prepared just the way my husband and I like them(a little fried on the outside). We will visit again and I will recommend this place to friends. This was a great find !!

Everything that I have was amazing my wife Got the rib and shrimp combo meat was very tender and delicious sauce had the right tang and spice I got the garlic cheeseburger(added a patty for $ 1.50 to Make it a double) wow Thing was so heavy juicy and delicious 1 Of the absolute best burgers I think I’ve ever had and wanted some pierogis and I’m not the biggest fan of em but got the sweet cheese and they are actually really tasty I will definitely be back(Albert also left a review about a pretty girl being unfriendly thinking maybe old ass Albert was flirting and got rejected… she was very nice and pleasant gave her a couple bucks in her little tip jar) thanks will definitely be a repeat customer

Polish joint Super clean place. Affordable prices. Fresh tasty food. Good music playing in background. Try burgers or zapiekanki. Kebab wasn’t that good. Too much bread dough not enough meet.

Great fast food with a polish spin. The hoghlander burger is a monster. I’ve come here more than a few times already and I’m always happy with how fresh the food is, the fries are really crunchy. If you’re in the mood for something different the. Give this place a try.

They have a really big menu and not a ton of customers… be prepared to wait kind of a while for food… BUT it is really good so maybe it could have been a five star experience if I had called it in. I can see the french fries not being for everyone(they were pretty soggy but I kind of like that) but the rest of the food was great. We had gyros(I didn’t try but my boyfriend really liked it), pierogies(awesome, as they should be at a Polish restaurant), a salad with these mushrooms that I thought at first glance were going to be gross but were overall my favorite thing, kids hamburger(good… picky toddler approved), and(omg) ice cream. If you go in there for one thing, get ice cream… it’s homemade and unbelievable(cream is my favorite so far) you won’t have to wait for it which is an added bonus.

This place is brand new and doesn’t seem to get a lot of business yet so I thought I would try it. I had their special: polish sausage with grilled onions and mustard. They had a choice of fresh or smoked sausage and I couldn’t decide so I ordered both. The smoked was definitely better. The fresh one had no flavor and an unpleasant consistency. The fries were bizarre in that some were underdone(no thanks) and done were overdone. The pretty girl behind the counter was unfriendly like she could care less that they had a customer. It was after twelve and there were only two people in the place. I don’t think I’ll go back.

I been to this place on a whim, I was headed to a differant place but the name caught my eye. It’s a Polish based fast food joint, inside there is alot of room and it’s kind of cozy and it’s kinda of a new place i beelive. If your looking for polish sausage and pierogi’s or something of that sort you should try it, I did and i was pleasantly suprised.
