Just stopped in to have the new bacon wrapped wings. Was told by wait staff and hourly manager that they did not have prep people to get stuff ready. They said they only have prep three times a week. Hooters Corporate needs to step up and get this place right. Hell if it wasn’t for the cars being outside I would thought this place closed.

Hello everyone, this review is for the hooters in hickory, the staff was friendly but the wings were bland and had hardly any sauce on them, if most of the hooters are like this, I will stick to buffalo wild wings in the future.

This is my second time ever going to a Hooters, and it wasn’t by choice, but my friend’s a regular there when working in Hickory, and why? Because they know exactly what he and his partner want when they come in, they get great fast service, and they find it good value. I can’t say much more than that. The food’s not exactly culinary genius, but the service was definitely friendly, and we left sated, which is all we were really looking for. The sort of scary thing? Apparently there’s another one of these sorts of places(I think they’re now calling them«breastaurants» that is apparently far more… exploitative? I just don’t know. I really don’t.

The service at this Hooters was great. All the waitresses seemed very attentive to their customers. Courtney got me my beer and didn’t bug me when I took my time ordering my dinner. She still checked on me frequently. The manager came by twice to ask how I was doing, without being a pest. The food came quickly, though I would have preferred the side salad before the sandwich. No big deal. I ate the sandwich first anyway. They need to have a bigger selection of craft beers on tap. I guess it’s not Hooters’ fault so many North Carolinians consider Heineken an exotic beer. Set the bar higher Hooters!

1 star… Poor service especially during lunch hour. Someone in Tampa give Sergio a call. Usually when afternoon /evening staff arrive service improves slightly. This is an environment of poor customer service. HQ please call.

I think the waitresses here were nicer than other Hooters I’ve been too. They were all pretty, every last one of them. The food came out piping hot and the wings were great.

I took my father to Hooters for his birthday on December 14th and we were very pleased with everything. Our waitress was Brittany and she was great at explaining the menu to my daughter and little cousin. My dad had never been to Hooters so it took him a while to figure out what he wanted and Brittany never made us feel rushed and just kept telling him to take his time and if he had any questions she was happy to help. Now the food. I had the philly cheese steak with tater tots. The sandwich was great… my only complaint was that it was a little dry. I think it needed some type of condiment or a sauce of some kind. My daughter had bbq wings and little cousin had chicken tenders. Both girls wanted curly fries and Brittany suggested that they split an order because it was very large. I appreciated her thinking like that because a lot of places try to upsale you on everything just to get you to spend more money. I’m glad we listened to her because the order was huge. My father had the daytona beach style wings with a side of cole slaw and what i call the«fat fries» My dad said the wings were great. They had a great flavor from the grill with just the right amount of heat and the slaw… my father is the pickiest person when it comes to coleslaw so I was shocked when he said they had some of the best slaw he’d ever eaten in a restaurant. He said it was very creamy and flavorful and went perfectly with the wings. The fries however had WAYTOOMUCH seasoning salt on them. They were almost inedible and I LOVE salt but when it leaves that awful after taste and you can’t taste anything else that’s too much. After dinner my dad ordered his birthday Long Island Iced Tea. He said it good and it came right out even with the restaurant being pretty busy. I’m glad that my dad loved his first experience at Hooters. I’ve been to this Hooters at least 10 times and I’ve never been disappointed so I know I’ll be back again. Thanks again Brittany for the great service.

Stopped here to split our drive to Maggie valley in half and couldn’t have been more pleased. The outside of the building looked a little old and worn, and I was skeptical, but how surprised were we once we got inside? It was great, food, service, attitude of the gals, it was all fantastic. We both really enjoyed it immensely, and will be returning anytime we are in the area.

Poor service, had to send back a chicken sandwich three times before they got it right. Manager never checked to see what the issue was or to apologize. Poorly ran restaurant.

Decent service. Wings are generally sub par for a Hooters. Better bet to hit Buffalo Wild Wings for wings from a chain in hickory.

Arrived at 11 a.m. for lunch. Was greeted with a loud«welcome to Hooters» from several of the girls. I was promptly greeted and my Hooters Girl was pleasant and efficient. She carried on polite conversation with me, another table of out-of-towners, plus some of her regular guests. My usual buffalo chicken sandwich was delicious.

It’s Hooters…’nuff said? When the mood strikes… I’ve had an enjoyable experience each of the times I’ve been here. The staff has been friendly and professional. Food aside, this is an average Hooters, better than some, not as good as others. Not much help, I know, but if you’re contemplating going to Hooters you probably know what to expect.

Mom is not a sports person and most sports terminology and theory is lost on her. Mom is however a Tennessee Titans fan(she’s originally from TN) and occasionally meets up with some of her friends to catch the game here. Somehow Mom is actually at the top of her weekly football pool. This is how I ended up spending last Sunday afternoon at Hooters. I haven’t been in a Hooters in probably 18 years when at that time I was standing in a mall in St. Louis, we heard the roar of roller skate wheels above, my 2 male friends heads snapped up, and that ended all discussion about where we were going to go to have dinner. This Hooters seemed more«chain restaurant» meets«sort of neighborhood bar». While all pleasant, friendly and attractive — and I’m certainly not a connoisseur nor the target audience — the Hooter girls here seemed less«hooterish» than I seem to recall of my experience back in the 90s. Anyways — moving on to what I was the audience for… TONSOF TVs HERETOWATCHTHEGAME. Games were playing on several TVs too so fans of one team didn’t have to cluster around only one screen. Apparently if you come semi-regularly you can even reserve the screen you want to catch your game on as Mom’s friends already had their usual table scoped out. Our very attentive waitress Aerial was nice enough to put the Patriots game on the next screen over so I wasn’t bored watching the Titans get pasted by the Jets. Most everyone in the place was watching one game or another, though it appeared a few just stopped in for lunch. And its an ok spot to bring kids(though not really a kid restaurant) as evidenced by a few of the tables around us. A nice big parking lot and even some dedicated motorcycle parking. As good as the game watching experience is, the food was a little hit and miss even for chain bar food. Hooterstizer Combo(fried pickles, onion rings and mozzarella cheese sticks — with dipping sauce) — Perfect game food. All good and none greasy. Was glad mom didn’t really care for the dipping sauce for the rings as it was good, and Aerial’s suggest to dip in it and then the ranch was spot on for tasty goodness. Lots of Tots — Basically, tater tots in place of the potato skins in a «loaded skins» dish. I actually preferred this to tater skins. Tots were good and crispy, fresh crisp scallions, and bacon was plentiful and tasty(Mmmm real bacon makes anything better). Next time I’d probably pass on either the cheez whiz topping or sour cream as the combination of the two was not very good. BBQ Chicken wings(naked, no batter) — 5 completely anemic chicken wings tossed in BBQ sauce. Seriously, I thought I’d just been served frogs legs or something — no wait, I think frogs legs might have more meat on them. Wings here seem really hit or miss. The guy beside me got 5 really plump wings; the group across from me got 20 wings just like mine. Chicken Strip Sandwich — Chicken tenders dipped in your choice of wing sauce(in this case BBQ) then covered in cheese and placed on a bun, served with curly fries and a pickle. This was mom’s lunch, but after my experience with the anemic chicken wings, she was nice enough to share. Tenders were excellent(I chose one without much cheese) and this dish really doesn’t need the bread. But the ciabatta roll its served on is pretty good and I enjoyed munching on it on its own. All-in-all it was a good afternoon(if a bit smoky — this is after all a restaurant/bar in NC). I will say at the end I was probably much happier than Mom: Jets 24 /Titans 17 Patriots 26 /Falcons 10(GOPATS!)
