Uncle Bob’s Self Storage

We are extremely happy with this facility. It is clean, safe and convenient. The staff, in particular Sabrina and Eric, went out of their way to help us with a sticky situation and stayed past closing hours in addition to helping us move some of our things. I highly recommend this facility.

I live in Queens, but I drive all the way out to Hicksville to use Uncle Bob’s because it really is a great facility. The staff are wonderful! Angy, Sabrina, and Eric are so helpful and friendly, with great knowledge of how to effectively pack and store our belongings. They even helped us out with first aid after an unfortunate finger injury. It is always a pleasure to work with them. Uncle Bob’s is always clean and well maintained, which makes it even better. I have used many storage units in my personal and professional life– this is the best by any measure!

We were first customers of Westy’s and got swept along with the purchase by Uncle Bob’s. We had been extremely happy with the Westy’s management so I was a bit concerned if things would change– and not for the better. We have a large storage room with all the contents of our house (we downsized to an apartment) over a year ago, and another move would be a hug hassle, and expense. So it has been a very pleasant surprise that everybody at Uncle Bob’s has gone out of their way to be helpful and nice in all our dealings. Our last visit, just a few days ago, was nearly a huge disaster– we traveled from the city in terrible Sunday/​holiday traffic thinking it was a 5pm close time. We arrived to the gates shut at 4:15 with a carful of stuff we had to get out of our apartment for the holidays, and a short list of things we really needed. Lucky for us Sabrina was on duty and said she would let us unload and get the things we needed if we could be quick. This very generous allowance made a huge difference to us at a stressful time of year. The human touch at the holidaze is sooooo appreciated. Thank you Sabrina! And Karen, and all the Uncle Bob’s staff!

This storage facility was Westy’s storage before Uncle Bob took over and uncle bob seems to treat you like a bad relative? Westy’s was much more customer friendly and offered more services for there customer’s with units. ie: truck rental, friendly service and little late fee’s. Uncle Bob seems more interested in MONEY than service and there late fee’s are high. look around for more options other than your uncle bob. I’m moving back to my dawg WESTY’s when I can!!!
