I am a repeat customer and each time I return the experience gets better and better. The new manager and wait staff are lovely and very accommodating. The food is tasty ad the portions plentiful. My most recent trip was with a very large group… over 30 people. Despite being overwhelmed the staff kept our drinks filled and the kitchen delivered excellent food. I look forward to my next chance to go to Cleopatra’s and introducing more friends to their great food.

Change of staff and manager did not dampen the enthusiasm or quality of the food served. We had an excellent dining experience. I ordered the lentil soup and a chickpea, feta salad with an outstanding vinaigrette. Others in my party ordered the baba ganoush and hummus, both of which came with hot pita bread, and lamb kabob with sides of bamya and white rice with vermicelli. For desert we split rice with almonds and raisins and baklava. It is a definite repeat for us.

The food was great. The server could have been a little more attentive considering the restaurant was mostly empty. We had to wait a while for the food. However, it is fresh made at time Of order. Price was a bit on the high side in my opinion. Maybe they could consider some dinner specials. The owner was wonderful. This was the same experience I had when I ate at the Greensboro store before they moved.

The owner is truly wonderful, and the food is amazing. I highly recommend the babaganoush, the Alexandrian falafel and fewl, and the Vegetarian Heaven platter. You will not be disappointed. What an amazing find. We are from Dallas and visit an amazing Egyptian restaurant all the time, and this one truly rivals anything you can find in a city of six million.

This is definitely one of the best arabic/Egyptian/southern mediterranean restaurants in the triad. Everything here has a homemade taste, which is very hard to consistently find, and in my opinion is very special. The staff is warm and attentive. I have read many reviews about this place. People seem to be very split over it. I believe many of the earlier complaints are part of the kinks/birthing pains every new restaurant experiences. The décor and music create excellent ambiance. I will admit, the first time I came here, it took too long to get food, but tonight I ordered the al-azhar which is a very large plate of food, and waited less than 15 minutes. They have definitely stabilized.

Ordered the chicken shwarma sandwich. Tasted well but a little drier than what I would like. The side salad wasn’t worth tasting. The pita bread was okish.

I’m not exactly sure if our visit was a normal one at Cleopatra’s Restaurant, but I certainly hope not, as our experience here was less than stellar. My boyfriend and I were very excited about visiting Cleopatra’s because it isn’t often that we find a place that neither of us has visited in the Triad. We decided to go here after work on a Friday night around 7 pm, expecting that there would be a wait for great Egyptian food, but it turns out we were wrong. We pulled up to a busy parking lot, but an empty restaurant. All of the patrons must have gone to the restaurant next to it, but we decided to try it out even though it was void of any customers except one lady. When we entered the restaurant it was pure silence. There was no music, no noise, no customers. Very strange, as I was expecting some authentic music to go along with the experience that other reviewers had posted about. It seemed a bit foreboding for what was yet to come. There was one waiter, a very young gentlemen, that was polite but a bit inexperienced. I asked if they had a wine/beer menu, but they don’t serve alcohol so I stuck with water. While we looked over the extensive menu, we asked the waiter if there was any music that he could put on because it was really just awkward at that point to have no sound in the entire restaurant. He stated that he wasn’t the one to turn on the music, and that he wasn’t sure how, but that he would try. We finally did get one song to play, but that was it. One song, only and then silence ensued… Anyways, we placed our order for the chicken shawarma and the lamb shank. We got two sides a piece with our entrée; I chose the grilled vegetables and the filo dough with cheese. We waited a while for our food, but were excited, hoping that it would somehow save our evening. It did not. The lamb shank itself was the only thing tasty on the table. My chicken shawarma was not very good in flavor and did not look appealing. It was also cool in temperature. Seeing as how our meals were the only ones being«cooked,» it made no sense that my dish should be cold. My grilled vegetables were a few slices of RAW sweet potato, carrot, and zucchini. My boyfriend’s falafel was just awful. It had no taste whatsoever. After paying $ 50 for our tab, we quickly left. I have not been so disappointed in a meal in a long time, as I was looking forward to fresh, authentic Egyptian cuisine, but was greeted with the opposite. I don’t believe I’ll be going back, but I hope the business fixes their issues and is able to make their patrons happy.

Great Atmosphere, Great food… Great service. We will be back very soon… My Husband and I went for dinner on a Friday evening, the service was friendly and responsive. The owner came over to greet us personally. The food was delicious !!! Great location and ample parking… This definitely has become a favorite date night restaurant for us…

I ordered food from here using grubhub, since I am recuperating from an injury. It was my first time ordering Mediterranean delivery so I was a little apprehensive about how it would turn out. It was merely ok. The delivery took a very long time(over an hour) to get here. It was supposed to be delivered by 4:35. I called about 20 minutes after that time and was told it had just left the restaurant and it took another 15 for it to get here. The driver also got lost on the way to my house, however I later found out that this could have been due to his reliance on GPS which takes people across the street from me for some reason, so that part wasn’t entirely his fault. But still, it wasn’t delivered as advertised. As for the food itself. The entrée, a chicken kabab sandwich, had good and tasty fillings which were Americanized to a fair degree, but still good. The tomatoes were fresh and of high quality, the lettuce was fresh, and the chicken was well seasoned. I opted to also add Mansoura dip, which was really good as well. However the pita it was housed in was of poor quality. It was way too tough to chew for me, and seemed as if it were either overcooked or stale. As for the other things I ordered, they ranged from great to ok. The pickled lemon and olives were both great, and really paired well with the sandwich. Additionally I ordered the Gollash Belgebna, which is basically like Spanakopita, except it was soggy and tasteless. While I can forgive the sogginess since it was a delivery, I do not understand why it was so tasteless. I was really disappointed in that. However, not all was lost, since the rice pudding I ordered made up for it. It was delivered in a generous and was amazing. It was not too sweet or creamy, and it contained an ample amount of cinnamon on top. Absolutely delicious. While the food here wasn’t horrible, I am really disappointed in this place claiming to be authentic Egyptian. I have been to the Middle East including Egypt myself, and I can attest to the fact that this place, while it does provide a unique dining experience given the offerings, is not really authentic as much as it is inspired by Egyptian food. For one, there is no Aish Baladi(traditional Egyptian bread) offered here, which is delicious and is such a staple in Egypt, that there were riots in the 70’s when the government tried to stop subsidizing it. In fact, my favorite meal in Egypt was a sandwich made with that bread as well as spinach, feta, and fresh tomatoes. I could go on, but I think you get the idea. This is really a 2 and ½ star place to me, because of the slow service and the offerings were inconsistent and given the fact that the advertising claims this place to serve authentic Egyptian food when it doesn’t. It is unique though, and I would at least give it a try.

We were looking for a healthy option for a family dinner and found it. This hidden gem of a restaurant offered a wonderful array of authentic middle eastern dishes. The owner’s son, Ahmad, was our server and while a little green and having to be reminded a few times about requests, he was clearly trying hard and was very personable. He has the makings of a great restauranteur. My husband ordered fried fish simmered in a delicious tomato based sauce, with roasted eggplant and pickled artichokes as sides. My daughter had the chicken shawarma with grilled vegetables and savory rice. I too had the rice as a side, along with a delicious home-made hummus, and a dish called the Tour of Egypt which included a sampling of four types of meats and grilled vegetables. We shared a three part appetizer of olives, pickles and more roasted eggplant! This restaurant was empty due to their recent relocation, but should be packed full! It was clearly a family owned and item building and everyone was very accommodating including the chef who came out and help us order when my first two choices were out. Definitely worth a trip to High Point!

one and done! haven’t had a meal this bad in a while… a long while. Ordered, but did not finish, the qofte shish kebab and rice. Also ordered the hummus and baba ganoush for appetizers. qofte was overcooked rice was watery and undercooked what the appetizers lacked in flavor made up for in garlic content service needs improvement

I loved my entire experience at Cleopatra’s. The atmosphere was inviting, the staff warm and welcoming, yet professional, the food was out of this world(more on that in a moment) and the prices were very reasonable. My wife and I and our friend went out to eat at Cleopatra’s, and our high expectations were definitely met. This is a great spot for a date that’s right on that line between relaxed/casual, and somewhat upscale, but not too pricey. The food is unreal. I kept on eating long after I was full simply because everything tasted so good! The portion sizes are very generous, and there’s a nice ambiance to the place. I’d definitely recommend it. Family friend kind of spot too.

Wow! That’s the worst meal I’ve had in a while. The seafood platter was awful. They used fake seafood and the stuff had the texture of stiff play-dough. The fried eggplant was so greasy I felt sick to my stomach and my mouth felt coated with grease. The hummus = worst I’ve ever had. The mansoura dip(yogurt and cucumber sauce) had the consistency of dog vomit. Cleo’s Grilled Kofta was inedible. The only thing edible on this plate was the french fries, and they were over-done and chewy. The fried fish was served head-on, which I like. But it too was overcooked and greasy. My recommendation = don’t. Seriously, just don’t. I ate what I could eat about four hours ago and still feeling sick to my stomach. Most of our $ 60 meal was thrown into the garbage. The real Cleopatra would have the chef executed. Yeah, it was that bad.

Not very good. Got take out chicken kabobs and some lamb dish. Both dry and not very flavorful. Maybe it is different in house, but I certainly am not in a hurry to try it again. I prefer Saffron for this kind of food and at the relatively expensive price.

Food was very good. The fries with the sandwiches very fresh. The Baba ghanoush was very tasty. The service was excellent. I wish they had fresh pita. I also think the color of the walls should be lighter. Great place to eat.

Group of us went in for take out, orders were wrong, items were missing, slow service. Lots of garlic in the food. Pickle samples is not pickles, but pickled items. I would say pass on it.

Went on a Sunday afternoon, granted it was 2:30 and we were alone in the restaurant. They took and delivered our drink order. We found the staff to be inattentive, we waited patiently approximately 15 minutes without any other approach from the staff, we stood and politely told the staff goodbye. We went up the street to a Thai restaurant and had a delightful lunch!
