For the price you can’t beat it. They have a decent bar, ample parking, and they fry up a perfectly serviceable chicken tender and mozz stick. The linens and bathroom are clean, if you’re looking for more at this price point then you’re delusional.

My partner and I traveled with a group to the area for a wedding and chose this hotel due to its proximity to the venue and amenities. When we arrived, we were greeted by a very friendly attendant who checked us in and described the parking and nearby area. The hotel does have a parking garage that you can access for $ 6/day however it did not have enough clearance for our vehicle. The front desk attendant, upon hearing this, told us of several places where there was free street parking which we were able to utilize for the duration of our stay. Upon arriving in our room I did a quick sweep of the room, which was satisfactory. However, the bathroom toilet was dirty. There were several hairs on the seat as well as urine stains. There was also feces stains inside the bowl. I immediately called the front desk and was offered the choice of having a housekeeper come to clean the bathroom or being switched to a different room. I chose a different room and requested one on the same floor so that we did not have to move our bags as far. This was done and the second room had no issues. The second room was missing a piece of furniture that was in the first room(an ottoman). This is not something we would have known had we not have experienced two rooms however. The sheets were clean, albeit quite linty. The bed was comfortable and the desk and several mirrors made getting ready for the wedding easy. On the following day we attended the wedding and came back around 7pm to a hotel without electricity. There was no power for the surrounding two blocks of the city. The hotel had recently been able to restore some emergency lighting to the hallways and the elevators were running so we are able to at least go to our rooms and change into comfortable clothing. The room was a little warm but tolerable due to the high amount of AC we had chosen to use all day. After changing we went to the lobby and joined the other guests of the hotel. Everyone was simply sitting in the lobby or outside in the dark and the front desk attendant on duty was present to answer questions. After several hours we returned to our dark rooms to sleep. The power was finally restored sometime after midnight. During checkout several of our group complained about the power outage. Those who booked directly through the hotel were offered partial refunds of that night and those who booked through third party sites(my partner and I included) were directed to those sites for recourse. My third party website was very accommodating in contacting the management who was not there initially. A week or two later the manager informed them that the power was only out for 2 hours– which if you will read my review and others of the night is not true. The manager also stated that snacks and drinks were provided and that because the inconvenience was so short they would not be providing any refunds. Even though other members of my group who traveled for the wedding were offered refunds. My third party booking agent was gracious and did offer us a voucher which we can use upon a future stay. I will never stay in this hotel again because of the management’s dishonesty and refusal to provide us with what was given to other guests as well as the very poorly cleaned room that we were first offered. The pros from my stay would be the front desk agents themselves– they were friendly and polite always.

Went to a convention here that took up the entire hotel. The staff was friendly and courteous and my room seemed clean. Now, here’s why it’s getting two stars. 1) I was snuggled into bed on the first night and I noticed a mysterious brown stain on the duvet. Unfortunately I didn’t notice this stain until it was about an inch from my face. That did not impress me. Mysterious hotel stains on your bedding is kind of gross. 2) The main reason for my two star review is the restaurant located inside the hotel. Seriously people, consider this fair warning. DON’T EATTHERE. I don’t care how hungry and desperate you are. Walk to a different restaurant. Order in food. Do whatever it takes to avoid this place. We went to their ‘lunch buffet’ for $ 11.95 and it was absolutely revolting. The bread was stale(and it was packaged, grocery store bread), the produce was warm and wilted, the sauces weren’t labelled(but I don’t suppose it mattered what they were, since both were absolutely tasteless).. .all in all, I made myself the worst sandwich I’ve ever eaten in my life. A terrible, tasteless $ 12 sandwich. But. Silly me. I tried it again. I thought, okay, lunch was gross, but breakfast has got to be better, right? I mean, how can you mess up eggs? Well, apparently you can. You can mess them up very seriously. I attempted to choke down the world’s stalest bagel, but couldn’t seem to pile enough cream cheese on it to be able to swallow. I did manage to force down some boxed eggs, after adding so much salt and pepper that I’m sure my doctor would scold me, but totally skipped the meats, as they looked questionable at best. So heed my advice, oh Unilocalers of North Carolina.. .and those who travel there as well. If you are staying at the High Point Radisson, avoid their restaurant at all costs; going hungry would definitely be the better choice.

This hotel’s parking lot is excellent for parking during the high point market. It is also inexpensive as well. That’s a double for me.

The Radisson is at the former location of the Best Western. The lobby looks newly decorated. The rooms are nice and I appreciated that it was really quiet. I would have given this hotel a four star rating though there were a few things that needed improvement. The bed linens smelled strongly of bleach. This bothered me throughout the night. The maid service could do a better job cleaning as I noted dirty areas such as a spilled substance on the chair. One of the beds looked like the linens were not changed at all and surfaces could have used a wipe down. They charged six dollars to park in the adjacent garage. I noticed later that there was free parking out on the street. Wifi worked well.
