Was here with an Inner Faith group who rented the place for a weekend program. Memorial weekend of May 24 – 262013. The grounds are very beautiful with a pond, swimming pool, volleyball court, outdoor meeting and fireplace, main meeting house, and large meeting/dining hall with a large kitchen. There were about 10 cabins which can house up to 8 people with bunk beds. There were out buildings for various camp type programs. I enjoyed the people I was with, we had a wonderful 3 day program, for a minimum cost. This place really needs to upgrade their cabins. I have stayed at many camp grounds in many cabins over the years, and I can say these have been the worst. The cabins were much to be desired. These old squeaky metal cots or beds were not made for adults. The springs were warn, they hurt most backs, and sat too low to the floor. There were no chairs in the cabins, dressers or closets. There was what looked like an old army metal cabinet to hang stuff up in that squeaked as you opened and closed it. There were no rugs or carpet on the floors, just cold concrete. No mirrors in the bathrooms. The one shower was made for very skinny people or children, with no mats to absorb water from leaky shower, no one of a normal adult size could fit decently god forbid if one was too tall or too fat. There was only one hook in the bathroom to hang stuff on. No shelves, Just 2 sinks and 2 toilets which did not have enough paper for 8 people for the weekend no paper towels or soap in dispensers. Spider webs and dust in corners. These cabins were made for children to stay in who don’t care much about anything, not full grown adults who need a few more amenities. It didn’t even have the basics. About half the people who attended the weekend program stayed at the Marriot down the street for $ 115/night. I unfortunately did not have the funds for such. I don’t blame them. This place really needs to upgrade their cabins.
