Mediocre is how I’d summarize the food here. Side dishes were taken directly from the freezer and put in the deep fryer. Pizza was the best option but just OK. The highlight of my visit was the super-friendly server behind the counter. He took my order quickly, wasn’t pushy about paying and the good customer service made the otherwise meh food into a fair experience.

Pizza is ok for office pizza but delivery is long better off driving to pick it up but you gotta try the false

I came here for the first time ever like a week ago I got a slice of pizza and the person I was with got a pizza knish. This was a very bad slice of pizza. The cheese was plastic-y with no redeeming qualities. The knish was good until my friend got to the middle of it, which was still cold. More than the food being bad, this was honestly the worst experience I’ve had in a pizza place ever. There was a line when we came in, so we waited in it patiently, only for both of us to be ignored by staff. They asked the people in line behind us what they wanted, when my friend got their attention that they hadn’t taken our orders so they then only took his and not mine. Then at the cash register, when I tried to pay they just immediately went on to ring up the woman behind me. Because the woman’s children were stepping all over my feet I took a step back and then proceeded to have to wait with cash in hand until everyone else in line was rung up before they let me pay for one slice of pizza. The food was bad and the service was awful. I wouldn’t go back. I hope they don’t treat customers differently like this all the time.

Interesting food choices. Pizza is just not good. I really want to like the place because of the types of foods they provide but the quality is less than stellar and it’s just SO chaotic here. And I really hate eating off styrofoam plates with plastic silverware, for heaven’s sake.

I usually get the salad combo and it is a good portion, good price and great taste. Their falafel and baba ganoush is one of the best!!! It’s conveniently located and has a sit down place too.

The best kosher pizza in Edison! I eat their food at least once a month.

Mediocre. Owners need to invest more time and resources in keeping up with this aging restaurant with its dwindling food quality and taste.

Terrific local vibe, lots of kosher personality on the walls. Aged décor, worn with pride. Quiet. Half falafel sandwich for 2.75 is a good deal. Get the combo plate for the full experiences

Skip the pizza. Falafel is dry. The rest is just OK and don’t expect them to be friendly

I like it! Right near my apartment, so I’ve been there several times. It’s a cute little shop. Mozzarella sticks are good

The pizza is hit or miss, usually a miss. The felafel is good as is the eggplant parm. There’s usually enough seating but it can get crowded at peak mealtimes with lots of families. It’s the only kosher pizza around so you’re stuck if that’s your scene.

I hadn’t been here in nearly 30 years and it did not disappoint. I had the falafel sandwich and two side salads. My wife and kids had the pizza. All was enjoyable. Strongly recommend.

the falafel sandwich and four salads combo for $ 7.50 is a great deal. pretty good«salads«to choose from including baba ghanouj, hummus, tabouli. good selection of soups. the pizza is mediocre and the pasta looks almost certainlyb storebought and uninteresting. predomoninantly Jewish clientele. seating is very crowded together. lots of families with kids come here so it can be noisy

The food is always consistent. You know if you get something to eat, it will never be messed up. It is kosher and a lot of friends who do not keep kosher have said this pizza is better than anything they ever had. The falafel here is amazing. The place is definitely on top for being clean in the restaurant itself. Try it and I’m sure you will be back

I love this place for an occasional treat. It’s a little far away for me so I don’t go as often as I’d like. This place is unique. Don’t take anyone you hope to impress, since you order from a deli counter(there’s no table service). But this place is great for take-out or a quick casual bite. That being said, I love their selection of salads and just the fact that they offer so many vegetable-based dishes! I wish other places had the same selection. The falafel here is my favorite in the area. It’s full of garlic flavor — not hot & spicy like some other styles of falafel(which have their place in the falafel world too). Wonderful flavor! I do hear that their pizza isn’t great — may be good for people with no other pizza options(I’m not Kosher and neither is my friend who tried the pizza). Overall this is my favorite place to go when I need my falafel fix!

I have the falafel with the four salads. The falafel is OK, today it was a little overcooked perhaps. I love experimenting with the salads as some are excellent and so are pretty meh. The meh ones are usually lacking in flavor and are bland. Overall food rating a 3. The baba ghannooj is outstanding. It takes a lot to fill me up and I always leave here feeling stuffed. Volume wise, and that’s important to me, it’s 5. In fact, it’s kind of too bad they’re closed are Friday nights because this place could be a great alternative to the grease trucks for the Rutgers binge crowd. I make that last statement semi tongue in cheek. Not much of an atmosphere here unless maybe you get a table window. The staff was very helpful.

i’ve lived in the area and never visited this place for obvious reasons. my dentist recommended this place as his favorite falafel place. unfortunately, i didn’t think it was that great. flavor was a bit underwhelming. and nobody likes soggy balls. dentist fail. some of the other salad bar options looked great though, and i may try a platter in the future, if i’m feeling too lazy to go across the bridge to mamoun’s. and yeah. it’s definitely an interesting cultural experience. almost like a comedy skit of stereotypical jew’isms. i’m a repeat offender shiksa, so i can say such things… FYI — best falafel EVER is at Taim in manhattan. life changing.
