Absolutely horrid. We ordered a pie of pizza to be delivered, won’t bother with describing the food because this is going to be about the service. About an hour past the delivery time THEY set, we called and asked why it wasn’t delivered yet. The response? «Oh, it looks like we just got the order. It didn’t come through our system, so we didn’t make the pizza yet.»
What does that even mean? You got a call to check and it miraculously appeared the second you checked, and not before? Either you have a crap system or you’re trying to make an excuse for terrible service. Completely unprofessional, not worth the time.

The night of the fight we ordered, which I totally understand its going to be busy. First guy shows up and looks through deliveries and doesn’t have ours. Okay so goes back and another driver shows up half hour later with cold food. I understand its busy, but should have covered your self and had extra staff. Maybe throw in garlic knots or something. Two hours is not cool for pizza.

It was a simple order of half plain and half jalapeño and brownies. It was too hard for the a team that is papa john’s pizza. Jalapanos were scattered galore with no regard to the unofficial boundary between the plain and jalapeño sections. You would think that they just forgot about the order but they printed the correct order RIGHT ON THE BOX. It’s clear that the workers there do not have english as their native language… or second. No on wonder papa johns gets away with not giving them healthcare. They will sign anything you put in front of them.
Now to the brownies… it was like I licked the ground, not the ground that papa john walks on (which is probably made of candy) but the ghetto ground of highland park. I’ve never had the displeasure of having such terrible brownies in my life– the commercial is a LIE. PAPA JOHN IS A LIAR. A non healthcare giving liar! And if brownies didn’t taste like the ground, they tasted like human ash, freshly cremated, grandma ash. Papa johns should just throw out all equipment and invest in some easy bake ovens to prevent the intense burning that took place over the entire tray of brownies.
If I ever won the lottery, I would pay papa john himself to come out of his castle and come eat this trash.

i’ve lived in highland park for 31+ yrs, 6 – 7 blocks from the ppj on raritan avenue, and have never seen anyone go in or out of the place. raritan has other dormant bizzes, but prolly none that Unilocal would review: a hardware store, an antiques one, etc

I ordered a supreme. Worst pizza I have ever had in my life. The toppings were sparse. cheese, what cheese? This was the absolute worst papa johns pizza I ever had. Will not go again. I make pizza at home, so maybe expectations are too high. Pepperoni, where is it? It looked like a dehydrated open chest wound with olives as scabs. Didn’t taste much better than that either. Don’t order from here.

Great pizza, delivery etc… But supposedly the delivery person don’t receive the delivery charge fee… We’ll that’s at least what they told me. (and of course I tip a few more bucks on top of the fee) But I don’t believe it. If that was the case you guys would be driving company cars rather than your own. Don’t you think? :) … Good try though!

Always good on delivery time and frequent random coupons by mail. I especially enjoy The Works thin crust.

One of the worst Papa John’s locations. The pizza is pretty standard at any location, so the food isn’t the issue. The customer service and the delivery time is horrible. This is the third time I ordered from this location and my pizza has arrived over an hour late and cold every time. When I call to get an update on my order, I am talked to very rudely. Don’t order from this place.

One of my favorite chain pizzerias! Whats so good about it? Why dont you try a Hawaiian BBQ Chicken Pizza and put it on a thin crust and tell me what you think! Dont forget to throw in their garlic butter sauce on the side and their special spices that comes on a little wrapping.
I also had their spicy italian pizza and the meats in there was overwhelming. They are not cheap with their toppings!!!
One of the guys threw in a cinnapie for me since we always order there. Didnt think much of it, didnt even want to try it. I felt like it was just a useless calorie! Yeah I really care about calories after eating almost a whole pie. Anyways, I tried it and ended up fighting for the last piece. It was soo goooooooooood! You guys gotta try it especially when it just came right out of the oven!
