Spa by Lora

I discovered Spa by Lora after purchasing a Groupon. I’ve visited her Highland Park location twice so far for a photo facial/​microdermabrasion/​mask and a purifying facial and couldn’t be more happy with the service. Lora is a very skilled, accommodating and enthusiastic aesthetician and I definitely recommend her!

The facial was just ok however she will try to upsell you every time you go. My biggest concern is that she was unprofessional in her communication with me. She first confirmed an appointment with me of which I have the voicemail and then when I showed up she has double booked another client and wanted me to wait almost an hour for her of which I could not because I had to pick up my daughter. She then told me she would honor groupon for a second time and so I got one and then she said No I will not honor it. I prefer to deal with a much more established professional business.

I treated myself and my daughter to Groupon Deal which was photo facial, microdermabrasion, and mask. Salon was clean, Lora was pleasant, knowledgeable, and professional.
Collin products were used and can be found in higher end spa’s.
Experience was lovely and redeeming Groupon deal was easy. I would definitely recommend the salon and Lora.

This was possibly the most relaxing hour I have ever spent. Lora was lovely, and her spa is low-​key and friendly. She has the most wonderful hands, which just made me feel blissfully relaxed. She explained what could be done for my skin, explaining my options and left the choice to me. I’m not quite ready for laser treatment, so chose a relaxing facial instead. I was glowing inside and out when I left.

Highland Park is a LONG way from my home in the southern suburbs, yet a Groupon offering phototherapy plus a facial made the trek appealing. I am SO glad I went with my gut and found Lora!
Lora’s skin is flawless even without makeup. Had I not known better I would have thought she was an airbrushed doll. That spoke volumes about her knowledge and ability to get the results I was seeking and I proceeded with utter confidence.
She zapped my rosacea, got rid of a clogged pore on my forehead that I’d had for years, and gave some collagen-​boosting phototherapy that made my skin appear as though I lost 10 years in age.
Lora’s spa is tucked inside The Nail Shop, a pleasant upscale nail place. She begins consultation by asking what you had hoped to accomplish. For me it was minimizing pores — but she said that was the least of my problems. My exceedingly dry skin was leading me to the raisin skin summer camp. She adjusted the treatment accordingly, and spent the next 1.5 hours pampering and educating me.

First, Lora puts you on a table/​bed that is heated … nice. She is very knowledgable about all different types of facial products and processes. I do microdermabrasion followed by photofacial — it works great to keep my face fresh and rosacea at bay. I have never had a better facial. Lora really enjoys what she does and is excited to see how your skin improves. I leave there feeling extremely relaxed and happy to have been in Lora’s capable hands!
