Been here a few times for eye exams and fittings. The Doctor is great, very nice, takes her time and is very pleasant all the way around. Front desk not as much. First She pulled my insurance and said I didn’t have the coverage I thought I had. I went to my account online to double check and it showed I did indeed have the coverage she was saying I didn’t have. Confusing right? I showed her my account on my phone and she was in such disbelief and said maybe I was logged into a different account,(which I explained that obviously this is my insurance and that this is the only account). We went back and forth and I was getting really frustrated. I made the appointment knowing what was covered, and she was telling me different. She had me come look at her computer and it didn’t show the coverage I knew I had. I was like well I’m just going to cancel my appointment until I can get this figured out with my insurance because I knew what was covered and I wouldn’t have made the appointment otherwise. She said ok, she said if you want to call them you have a few minutes. Then she offered to call them from her phone, which I agreed. I was already there after all and did not want to cancel. Anyways. Called the insurance company and YES, I had the coverage that it showed on my phone… I Had her talk to the insurance to get it verified and even then she didn’t want me to use my coverage towards my visit and I could hear the insurance lady on the other end telling her that I can use it however I wanted.(And I did use it towards my visit which 75 dollars was applied to my exam.) Was very frustrating to go round and round like that when I had the coverage all along. So long post, sorry. I would just suggest to be sure and double check your insurance if in doubt because their system doesn’t pull up the correct info for some reason. And yes I will continue to come here because like I said, the Doctor is great.
