I have dined at this restaurant many times and for many occassions either with friends or my kids and every visit has been wonderful. The place is clean; service is above average(good); food quality is good/great; and the food taste also is good/great. The prices are very reasonable. I almost hate to disseminate praise on this restaurant for fear that it will become too crowded for my visits. Great product/great service/friendly atmosphere. Muy bien!

Not really sure why it gets 5 stars from people. it’s as authentic as non authentic mexican food can be. Started going there years ago and it’s really just become very ordinary to me. Is it the new owner change a few years ago or what? I don’t know. I think there are simply better out there.

This little gem is quite deceiving. The food is fantastic. I have enjoyed the shrimp fajitas and my husband prefers the chorizo & beef burrito. The refried beans are a perfect compliment to a Patron margarita on the rocks with salt. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is the restaurant itself. It could use some updating & the lackluster house margaritas — you definitely need to upgrade to the premier tequila. The waitstaff is friendly and attentive. It’s a perfect weeknight dinner for our family.

Amazing, if you want great food without fuss then run don’t walk to Tacos El Norte. Great service, delicious food, excellent service. Don’t go for atmosphere, you won’t fall for the décor, or the margaritas, this is about first class Mexican food. Great for true foodies!

I really really like this place. It is in a strip mall. It isn’t fancy but my favorite Mexican restaurants aren’t(sorry Mr. Bayless). Don’t miss the cheese rancheros enchiladas(for about $ 9). Good salsa(3 types when you include the green and red one in bottles). They are both good. Red is spicier. The servers are nice and flexible. The place is very family friendly. Last time our kids split a quesadilla app that they gobbled down and included a nice scoop of guacamole. My hubby used to order the tacos(which he always enjoyed) but I think he is now a cheese enchilada convert. We always have fun here!

The chicharron taco I ordered was raw fat; it was not fried at all. The carnitas taco I ordered was fried to a crisp, making it inedible. The waitress dropped off the food and did not return to the table for 45 minutes. we were ready to go after 15. Overall, service was awful and food was worse.

Ay, caramba!!! Tis muy, muy delicioso!!! Tacos El Norte has some of the best tacos around the area, and cheap tacos at that. I’m not someone who is absolutely in love with tacos, but when there are some good ones to be eaten I am definitely one who can get down with the tacos. For years and years I have heard people rave about Tacos El Norte and their amazing tacos, but neglected to go for some odd reason. If tacos are precious to you and you’re in the mood for them then definitely do wander into this little joint. As other reviewers have noted, don’t let the outside of the restaurant fool you. Just as your mama would say — «don’t judge a book by its cover». The restaurant is large(though the parking is minimal so you may have to park elsewhere if its busy on a particular day) with typical Mexican decorations and stylistic choices on the inside. Ooh, and it smells good when you walk in as well — I just love the smell of searing Mexican food. Yummy! I got the 3 tacos entrée which I believe is one of their most popular dishes. You can mix and match the taco fillings that you want — I got one avocada taco(least favorite), a chicken taco(second favorite) and the pork taco with pineapple on it(basically, its the bomb dot com and my favoritest taco of all) which by the way was absolutely amazing. To be honest, I wish I had just ordered three of those, but like a true Unilocaler I had to try all of the ones that I could. They also have a Chorizo filling in case you like that! Don’t get the avocado taco — it’s a bit of a let down, which maybe is an obvious thing. The tacos came with rice and refried beans which are always good — I don’t know how anyone could mess those up. Aside from the tacos, Tacos El Norte has a yummy chile relleno and they have some very, very good Horchata. Everything was pretty cheap and quite tasty. My ticket that included the tacos, the chile relleno and one Horchata was under $ 20. That’s a good deal if you ask me. The service was pretty quick too — we were in and out of there in about 45 minutes. One pitfall is that when we went there were plenty of tables that were dirty. Rice and sauce was spilled all over some of the tabletops — I don’t think it’s like this all the time though. Aside from that our waitress was descent, though perhaps just a little rude for my liking. She was a little snappy with me because I kept asking for clarification on the menu items — I couldn’t help the fact that I had questions about the menu, jeez louise! Everyone else at the restaurant was super nice and attentive, though. Overall, the experience was pleasant and I would gladly go back to try some of their other menu items. It’s a quick fix for your Mexican cravings, especially if you want something that’s cheap but not Taco Bell or Chipotle.

This is my favorite Mexican restaurant that I go to in the area. Staff is friendly. Good service and great food. The chips and salsa are very addicting. The green and red sauce for the tacos are the best. If you judge a restaurant by the chips and salsa… this is the place to go. I always get the skirt steak here. Food is always fast and also on point. I would def. Recommend.
