Commons At Verandas In Tanasbourne

This place looks deceivingly nice. The floor plans are functional, I loved all of the green space all around, and there was lots of open parking. BUT the longer we live here the more we hate it.
1. The nice looking landscaping we loved when we first moved in has been one of the worst features because they don’t take care of it. The lawn behind our building hasn’t been mowed over 4 months and it’s taller than our dog. Not to mention the drainage is terrible, leaving the lawn extremely muddy, the pathways are constantly flooded and there’s about an inch of mud on the pathways in some spaces. It’s awful.
2. They’re changing the parking policy requiring guests to stop by the office to get a parking pass. Talk about extremely inconvenient and unrealistic.
3. We’ve had endless issues with our one and only toilet and when we call it in to get it fixed, it takes them forever to get to it. So we were basically out our only bathroom for a couple days.
Ultimately, I do not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. It’s been a terrible experience and we can’t wait to get out of here.

They snuck in an almost 20% rent increase just days before the 90-​day law went into effect (90 day notice now mandatory for rent increases over 5%). They only gave me 30 day notice for such a huge rent increase, leaving me no choice but to move out. The law is in place to protect people from homelessness, so just because what you did was LEGAL doesn’t mean it was RIGHT. We found a nice ACTUAL luxury apartment (these ones are NOT nice at all) for the same price we were paying here! We were getting ripped off the whole time! So good riddance.

This is my first time in an apartment and I am pretty happy living here. The nicest thing about these apartments is the landscaping, its like having your own personal slice of nature. Always birds, butterflies, and squirrels runnin around. So pretty and peaceful! My dog loves it (there is also a little doggy-​doo station outside my apartment which I LOVE, no taking my dog’s poop into my apartment with me!!) Also, most of the people in the office are very friendly. I like how they are not super super strict about rules, so I don’t really have to worry about getting a nasty note if I forget something or make a mistake, which I love so I can relax and enjoy my time here. For the most part everyone seems to follow the rules anyways. There are some things I don’t like however. For example, these are not the cheapest apartments around (they call them «luxury apartments» to justify it) but there is no evidence of «luxury» in the apartment you end up getting. The appliances are very old and don’t work very well (I don’t even bother using my dishwasher or microwave sometimes, they suck). Pool and hot tub have already broken since Ive been here, which is disappointing :(. My only wish is that I would actually get the «luxury» perks that I pay extra for. I do believe I could find a nicer apartment for cheaper around here. But regardless of that, I am still happy and I feel lucky to live here.

This is meant to be a luxury apartment complex but it isn’t. There are so many better places to live in this area for less money with newer appliances, better services, beautiful surroundings etc.
For the money they really don’t offer a lot. Just the basics: pool, fitness centre and a garage facility that you have to drive too. That’s my biggest problem with this place. I have to drive my trash to the other side of the premises as they only have one trash facility. Which is disgusting. Most luxury apartments now have ‘trash fairies.‘
In summary: you can get more for your money elsewhere. The apartments and facilities are basic. From my experience the staff can be pretty rude. I guess that’s why so many people have moved out…
Really looking forward to moving on to bigger and better in the new year!

As a current resident of this apartment, I can’t believe how they work. They leased the carport I’ve been using to others without saying anything to me. My husband needed to sign on the paper and it was delayed a bit. I’ve told them he would stop by the office this weekend and they said ‘OK’. However they did it ON THE SAME DAY and told me they couldn’t wait for my husband’s sign any more. OMG! Never move in here. I just hope time flies and my lease is up.

Definitely not recommended.
I just can’t wait until my lease is up. Definitely moving out!
